You want to be sure that as you are searching for the best Xbox 360 deals for your needs, you are also able to make the best choices when it comes to them. Remember that the best way to find Xbox 360 deals is to talk to someone who knows what they are doing with the Xbox and to someone who really understands what kinds of deals will work best for you.
Finding Them Online
Since the Xbox 360 has been out for quite some time, chances are good that you will be able to find good Xbox 360 deals online. There are many places where this might be so. For instance, you might be able to find a place where you can find lots of Xbox 360 deals online, on items such as consoles and games. Which video game console is better: XBox 360 or PlayStation 3? – Part 7
The XBox breaks so often, someone once joked that it should be re-named "The Red Ring of Death." That's one of the three biggest reasons the XBox 360 is worse than the PlayStation 3.
1. They're Defective
When Microsoft released the XBox 360, they acknowledged that at least 3% of them were defective. Everyone complained the failure was rate was higher, and Microsoft finally admitted it - it's really 5% of all XBox 360's that have to be returned. But the real number of failures could be a lot higher. Nearly everyone has seen the tell-tale sign - the three red lights around the power button forming a "ring of death." When 360 Gamer conducted an online survey, over 4,469 XBox owners responded, with a whopping 62.5% reporting a defective XBox. (And over 22% reported that more than one XBox console had failed on them!)
But even when Microsoft replaces your defective XBox, guess what? They'll give you the worst possible replacement unit, usually somebody ELSE'S s defective XBox that was quickly slapped back together. So that'll break too. Some people report that they've had to return their XBox's over and over again. (One user was on his eighth XBox!)
The European government even launched an investigation into Microsoft because the XBox 360 had too high a failure rate. But if you want to buy a game console that won't actually play any games - go ahead.
2. They're Old
If you want to play games with a technology from 2005, then the XBox is for you. Buying an XBox means gaming with outdated graphics, the worst of any console on the market. The PS3's newer Blu-Ray technology is cutting eduge, giving much better detail.
Everyone in the industry acknowledges that Microsoft's XBox 360 technology is older, clunky, and not as sophisticated. XBox lovers tries to spin that into positive, by saying "This is bad, old, technology - so it's cheaper!" But that's really an acknowledgement that the PlayStation 3 is better.
3. XBox Games are Awful
There may be one or two games worth playing on the XBox 360 - but everything else is a retread of some multi-platform game.
If you buy an XBox, you'll always be haunted by the feeling that even the game you're playing would've been more fun on the PlayStation 3!

Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 10

The Playstation 3 is overpriced, and it does not have the games to back up its price.
A video game system is all about the games. I do not think that even though a Playstation 3 can be the guidance system for a NASA fueled rocket ship, though it can make waffles and eggs and freshly squeezed orange juice, it needs games.
It needs games, and it needs a gaming experience.
When the first Playstation came out, it was heads and tails above any console at the time. Period.
When the Playstation 2 came out, it was boring the first two year, because there were not a lot of good titles out there.
Once the games starting coming out though, the power of the system, its easy to use controller, and the fun and excitement of the system came through.
Even when the Xbox arrived, and some Playstation fans jumped ship, it was not that significant.
The Playstation 2 was on top, and it was dominating the consoles to the point where the first Playstation was outselling the Ninetendo Gamecube and the Xbox in Japan, as well as in the United States.
The new competition heated up, and soon the Xbox released its 360, and Playstation released its next generation player, the PS3. Nintendo came out with its new console, the Wii.
Both the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360 play dvds. The Wii does not( Although I have heard about ways to get it to online, I am not sure if these are rumors or not and am not interested).
Why do I mention this? Well because while the PS3 does play Blu-Ray, which has seemingly won over the Xbox 360 backed HD dvd(which has currently been halted altogether, no more new HD dvds), the Wii came out of nowhere and is hugely popular.
It has consistently outsold both of the new systems and is more economical as a purchase, more interactive for the player, has more of a futuristic feel, and has many of the popular games of the other two systems, but with the Wii remote, they become something entirely new.
In addition to this, the games that are unique to the Wii, the Super Paper Mario, and the Super Mario Galaxy, the graphics are good, and the game play is really fun and interactive.
The Wii has stunned everyone, even themselves, they were not prepared for the rush, and are making a million units a month to make up for the unexpected demand.
Why unexpected? Because everyone is simply locked into the idea that dvd playing, big graphics, big marketability, these are the things gamers want.
You want to know why people still play Q-bert, Pac-man, Donkey Kong, and Super Mario Bros., its because a great game is a great game. And the games on the Wii are great, and the way you use the Wii remote is so cool, it feels really really like you are more a part of the game play, and this personalizes the game and makes it more fascinating.
The Wii will continue to be better than the Playstation 3 until the Playstation 3 can put out the thing that made it such a desired console initially, good video games.
How To Find The Best Wii Sales
Are you one of those that is still frantically searching to buy your Wii? The phenomenal growth of Nintendo's Wii has seen a surge in gamer interaction play like at no other time. But, many people have found how difficult it was to find one for sale, especially around Christmas time. There are still reports that the Wii is still in very short supply.
So the question is,"Where can I find Wii Sales that are in stock?"
First, let me give you a little insight about the Wii that not many people are aware of. Where did the name "Wii" come from? Well, Nintendo decided to market the home game console outside of Japan without the company name featured in its trademark. The name Nintendo does not appear on the console. The "W" in Wii stands for Worldwide and the "ii" characters is meant to resemble two people standing side by side, representing players gathering together as well as to represent the console's controllers. So, Nintendo chose the name Wii because it sounds like "We" which emphasizes that the game console is for everyone and is easy to remember.
Okay, now where to find the best Wii Sales?
As we have talked about in the above, the Wii is still in short supply. Finding one in stock at any brick and mortar store is still a pretty difficult challenge. There are many places online that you can find Wii's on sale. Many of these however are used and when people realized how much in demand they are and the short supply, they have taken their Wii, played with it awhile and then put them up for sale because Wii still demands a premium on the market. In other words, they can use it for a while and then sell it for a much higher price that they payed for it and make a profit.
We have found source where one can find Wii sales that offer brand new, bundled with many extras and full manufacturer warranties. Some of these Wii systems are bundled with up to 15 extra games, controllers, safety jackets and more. And they are selling through a very well respected source on the net. So finding Wii sales is not that difficult. You just have to do some research and I am sure you can find what you need. We have searched on the net for our Wii game console. Viewing the Wii sales at Walmart, Amazon, Yahoo stores, Google and such.
We have found that most stores have Wii consoles on back order. People are still waiting to purchase their Wii Gaming Systems. That is how short the supply is and the demand is still huge! There are other sources where there are literally hundreds of Wii sales. They are going for very competitive prices and some can be had for a slight discount. But, keep in mind. Due to the demand, the Wii Gaming Systems are still commanding a premium price at almost every location. So good luck in your hunt for that ever elusive Wii on sale.

Mario Kart Wii – how can I tell the difference between expert staff ghosts and the regular ghosts?
I mean on the time trials - when you beat the only ghost on the time trials with enough time to spare it unlocks an expert ghost. Those are what I'm referring to.

Why the video game industry is reaching new heights
The video game industry has been one of the fastest growing industries since it was created. It doesn't matter if you look at Pong or Pac Man or Sonic or Halo, there have always been thousands upon thousands of gaming fanatics and casual gamers that are willing to spend thousands of dollars every year on video games. Video games appeal to people because they are fun, competitive, and they are easy learn but often hard to master. Also, most video games make themselves very clear on the screen. Unlike books or board games, there is little to no reading involved in video games; only sight and reflexes are involved. This combination of television and rockem-sockem robots-like movement of the hands make video games that much more accessible and compelling.
Of course, some people would argue that, eventually, gamers would grow bored of the same old two-handed bent-potato shaped controllers that are updated routinely merely by adding new buttons every time a new system comes out. Fortunately, the gaming industry knows of this weakness in design repetitiveness, and they can easily work around it. For, while the classic two-handed controller has served companies and customers well over the years, creative companies have always been trying to push the envelope in controller design. The most recent and obvious example of this would be the Nintendo Wii. The Wii turns video gaming into a whole new way to play for three reasons. Firstly, instead of staying put throughout an entire play session, the Wii player must make at least some movement throughout the game, because their Wiimote directly controls their character on screen. Secondly, the Wii takes full advantage of WiFi technology, meaning that millions of players can meet each other online and set up games with people who they've never even met or seen before. No one will ever have to call up their busy friends again if they just want a quick multiplayer game. Lastly, the Wii has been made completely backwards compatible. It cannot only play all the old Gamecube games, but it can also play whatever other games from past generation consoles customers choose to download to their Wii using Wii points.
Nintendo has been around since the early days of video games and has been a big proponent of the industry. But the added competition of Sony and Microsoft make the industry grow that much more. Because of this three-headed rivalry, there will never be a shortage of ideas and work flowing through the major companies, because they will always be trying to out-do each other. For customers, this is a dream come true. Not only do they have a huge amount of choices when deciding which video games and systems to buy, but they also have three major corporations competing directly for their attention. With the added information of gaming magazines and sites, customers can make educated choices and pick the best games to buy. The companies then learn which games their customers like, and can make even better games based on that data. In this way, the industry not only grows, but becomes better and better.
As technology evolves, game designers have even more options and ways to be more and more creative. Video game design is an art form, and the great thing about an art form is that it is only limited in terms of technology and the human imagination. The video game industry will continue to grow and grow because of its massive fan base and competitive market. There is no other business like the video game business. No other moves as quickly, and no other has so much room for improvement and creativity. And that is why the ever-exciting video game industry will never fail to not only reach new heights, but look to even greater ones.

Wii Sports Resort Complements the Wii Consoles
Nintendo, the Video Gaming Company
Nintendo has brought another gaming innovation out to the market. Nintendo, the oldest multinational company from Kyoto, Japan, is among the industry’s most powerful video game producing company. From the time this company was conceptualized, it had already evolved and ventured in varied industries from the production of Hanafuda playing cards, taxi, food and hotel businesses to the video game systems. Since the late 70s, it has come to produce over 2 billion video games already.
Among the video game systems that stirred the interests of the gaming public are the Color TV Game, Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), Virtual Boy, the Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube and the most recent Wii and its Wii consoles. Nintendo also produced portable game consoles like Game and Watch game lines, the Game Boy Series such as Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy SP, the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi.
The Wii Console and Its Features
Wii Consoles are home video games released by Nintendo in 2006. It is a seventh generation game console that was meant to compete with Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3. The Wii console is featured with a wireless Wii Remote controller, which detects movements in three dimensions. It can also be used as a handheld pointing device. It also has a WiiConnect24 that receives messages and updates from the Internet even when the Wii console is in its standby mode.
The Wii Sports Sequel
From the Wii Sports that has just recently been out in the market comes the Wii Sports Resort. It uses Wii Motion Plus to give the players a most realistic gaming experience. To give the player a deeper sense of immersion, you just have to plug the Wii Sports Resort into the base of the Wii remote control together with its sensor bar and accelerometer. As fun as it is to play, it is also fun to just watch the players. It is easy to learn and people can easily pick up the game of any Wii Consoles.
Wii is surely loaded with fun that not only kids get to enjoy but even adults. Rather than go and play outside, playing your favorite sport with Wii Consoles never has to be an outdoor activity. Wii Sports Resort for Wii Consoles, which has been set to be released in 2009, has already lots of followers eager to play the ongoing series of sports that are to be loaded in their Wii Consoles. The games in the Wii Sports Resort have a beach resort setting and are compatible with the Wii Motion Plus. The new sports game for Wii has to be bundled with a Wii Motion Plus device and the Wii Remote Jacket but are sold separately though. There are still seven games that have to be filled in to complete ten games in the final package.

Xbox 360, amazing experience at your hands
Millions of fans of console video gaming all over the world welcomed Xbox 360 with one of the hottest hugs possible: amazing sale figures in just few hours after its initial release. But the real question remains, was Xbox 360 worth that entire buzz? Does the 360 live up to the high expectations of the addicted gamers all over the globe? Well, it appears that even if the Xbox 360 doesn’t score a bull’s-eye 10/10, it definitely was not far from achieving that.
Well, the first thing to learn about Xbox 360 is that it comes in 2 packages; the Xbox premium witch is priced at 400$ and the Xbox basic witch you can get for something close to 300$.
The basic package contains the completely new Xbox 360 console, a wired controller as well as the basic version of the Xbox Live service. Now, for about 100 extra bucks you will get many more things; this is something that will probably turn the majority of buyers towards the premium package.

The premium bundle will provide you with the 360 console, a wireless controller, TV linking cables, a portable 20GB HDD and headphones. Additionally, this Xbox is fully backwards compatible with the games of the original Xbox; this means that you are able to play the games you already have from the original Xbox! Of course, you will also be given a basic subscription for the Xbox Live service too. Look closely at the differences of the 2 packages; was I wrong when I said that the majority of gamers would prefer to add 100 extra bucks and get the premium pack?
Straight for the meat now! The new Xbox is completely redesigned, with elegant, chic lines and light, beautiful coloring. The overall design is probably what would come out as a result of cooperation of Hummer’s & Porsche’s designers; I think Microsoft has done a great designing job. Regarding the core of the Xbox, its computational power, the graphics of the new games can speak for themselves. Amazing, curved surfaces, vivid backgrounds and detailed characters bring games as close to reality as possible. As a matter of fact, the 360 features an IBM PowerPC processor and a powerful graphics card by ATI.
The new Xbox 360 is also more family-friendly in the sense that it comes with a built in CD and DVD player. You can always listen to your favorite music while playing a game or you can watch a DVD along with friends or family in your HD TV screen.
I believe that Xbox 360 has too much potential; especially when the Xbox Live community will expand and there will be more blockbuster titles available. The brand new 360 definitely stands up to the expectations and the best has yet to come.

Video game reviews: Rockstar Table Tennis (Wii) – Part 2
Liu Ping feverishly rushes to one side of the table to fight off Jesper's wicked backhand. Jesper returns his shot with a fiery forehand backspin. The ball hits the corner of the table and bounces by Liu Ping. Point, match, Jesper! Is this a tournament at a local gym? The world championships in Zagreb? Nope. This can take place in the comfort of your basement, living room, or bedroom, if you so desire, with Nintento Wii's Rockstar Table Tennis.
Nintendo Wii took the video game industry by storm in 2006 with its wireless controller called the Wii Remote, which enables game characters to mimic the player's, every move; (or is it the other way around?). Now, in October of 2007 interactive Table Tennis has been taken to the next level in the world of Wii, with Rockstar Table Tennis.
Using the patented Wii Remote (also known as the Wiimote) and its Nunchuk controller, Rockstar Table Tennis allows players to enjoy three levels of play. In the "Standard" version players use the Wii remote itself, allowing players to control the timing and type of shot. In the "Sharp Shooter" version, players can the Nunchuck to place the ball along with the timing of the shot. In the final, "Control Freak," version, which takes some time to master, players may also use the Nunchuck to control their player's movement along with using the Wiimote. Of course, as players master each style of play it opens up new avenues for the game player, but it does take time to learn to maneuver both controllers.
Since it is table tennis, there is only so much Rockstar can do with the graphics, but the table layout, ball movement, paddle movement, etc. are clean. The graphics in the player shots are very detailed and lifelike. For the Table Tennis junkie, Rockstar, however, is one more avenue to "play" the game you love when an opponent can't be found and a virtual opponent will do.
Xbox 360 Repair Guides – What to Look For Before You Buy!

I have personally experienced the Xbox 360 "General Hardware Failure" or what is better known as the Red Ring of Death. So, I have a pretty good idea what you are feeling right about now. In addition, I have used Xbox 360 repair guides to fix numerous consoles. The following list was developed from experience and is written to prevent you from wasting your money.
What should you look for in a Xbox 360 repair guide? Here is my minimum list of demands, and I do mean demands! I, absolutely, would have to have these things before I bought an Xbox 360 repair guide and I strongly suggest that you not settle for anything less either.
1. First, I try to get an indication about the authors. I look to see if whoever put this thing together knows what they are talking about. Are they an expert? Have they actually repaired an Xbox 360 successfully? So my number one criteria is that the author needs to be an experienced, successful, expert.
2. Does the Xbox 360 repair guide contain detailed, written step by step instructions with pictures? I am the type of person who doesn't want to leave anything up to chance. If you are going to teach me how to do anything, you need to explain each step carefully. Also, I want as many pictures as possible. And not just lots of pictures, but high quality detailed pictures. So, the guide you purchase needs to contain high quality, detailed, written, step by step instructions with lots of pictures.
3. Does the guide include videos? I am a visual learner and videos really help me. If the Xbox 360 repair guide contains videos, this is a bonus for me. But the videos could have been shot with a cell phone. So, the question really is, does it have high quality videos? The guide you select needs to include high quality videos that show every step clearly and compliment the written instructions.
4. What if I have questions? Does the guide come with support? The Xbox 360's manufacturer spans more than a couple of years now and not every Xbox 360 is the same. So, I want to be able to ask somebody a question if I get stuck. You need some kind of support. It could be chat, email, whatever, but, you need to be able to talk to someone and ask them a question.
5. How is the guide available? I need it now so I can fix my Xbox 360 right now! The most instantaneous method would be down loadable pdf instructions with access to the videos on line. The guide you purchase has to allow for instantaneous access immediately after you plunk down your cash.
6. Is there a guarantee? What if it doesn't work? Can I get my money back. I have to be able to get my money back for any reason. You need a 100% unconditional money back guarantee. Do not settle for less!
7. Incentives. If I buy this guide are there any extras? Does the guide provide for a forum? Any money back? Coupons? I want the most I can get for my money. I don't have to have this one, so I guess it isn't a demand, but it certainly would help me to make my decision. If all things are equal and one guide has a better bonus, I would go with the bonus. Look for a bonus.
So, there you have it, six, possibly seven criteria that are the bare minimum requirements you should settle for in an Xbox 360 repair guide. There are quite a few repair guides on the market so try to do a side by side comparison of all the features that they proclaim. Make the most informed decision that you can. I know you are in a hurry, but take a little time and comparison shop. You will be glad you did. Good luck and I hope you get back to gaming soon.
I got RE4 Wii Edition today and I decided to record my first playthrough of it. As it turns out, it takes a little more planning to do a whole game. Fortunately I realized this before I started recording my SH3 Extreme Speed Runs. Note that I skip the cutscenes.
Is the investment in the Wii a worthwhile one? – Part 1

The great debate: to Wii, or not to Wii?
I've run across various people, throughout the time my husband and I have had the Wii, who were suspicious of its playability, price, and fun factor. The simplest and easiest way for me to quell their concerns about the Wii is to allow them to test out our own. My husband and I are youth leaders, and as such, we have a vast amount of eager teens just dying to see what the buzz about the Wii is. Since the time my husband and I first played the Wii on our own, we have found it to be very exciting and fun. It really does give you a wonderful workout, and the best part is that you don't even realize it until the next day. I can't count the number of times I've woken up, wondering, "Why is my arm sore? Did I sleep on it wrong?" only to realize that the hours of game play from the previous day contributed to it.
Nintendo was genius to think up such a thing as the Wii. Up until the Wii was created, the vast majority of video gamers sat on their couch or in their chairs, the only body part utilized being the thumb. Parents for ages have been saying, "Video games are horrible... my kids used to DO THINGS until they got hooked on those video games..." Wii completely solved the problem by creating a system that actually requires you to move your upper body. Some games, such as Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, even encourages you to use your legs to jump rope virtually.
As to price, the Wii is $250, which is pricey unless you compare it to the prices of the other new systems available. A 60 GB Playstation 3 originally was priced at $599, more than double the amount for the Wii. Not long after Playstation experienced less-than-desirable sales, Sony knocked the price down to $499. This system was announced with much fanfare, but the arrival of the Wii overshadowed it greatly. The same can be said of Microsoft's 360, although the 360 did enjoy a longer time in the spotlight than did Playstation 3. The 360 was originally available in its least expensive form for between $299 and $399. Microsoft, after witnessing the high demand for Wiis, and in order to drive up competition, has since lowered the price to $199. Still, in my opinion, these systems pale in comparison to the Wii.
Wii is a wonderful system that encourages gamers to get up and get moving, and it offers a variety of games that appeal to a broad scope of people. With Wii, there's something for everyone, and it's simple to use. I took it upon myself to show new users how to play the Wii, but I soon found out that it was unnecessary because the controls and options are so self-explanatory. I view the Wii as a genuine gaming revolution, reaching out to people who would otherwise never think of themselves as gamers, while staying true to video games' faithful followers.
Video game reviews: Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Wii, Xbox 360, PS3)
The release of Guitar Hero III was huge news in the world of console gamers. At the local bar, where we host Guitar Hero night every Saturday, we all waited anxiously for midnight to slowly roll around so we could send someone to pick up a reserved copy. When we were finally able to play (XBox 360 version) we saw a lot of differences from Guitar Hero II. Most were small, but there were a few huge new things.
The first thing we noticed was that in Guitar Hero III we now had the option to play a Co-Op Career Mode. What this means is that if you want to play with a friend, but not competitively, you still have that option. However, you can actually have a career together, as opposed to Guitar Hero II, which was only quickplay for co-op.
Another thing that stood out was the graphics. Everything looks a lot cleaner and better, especially the characters! One annoyance, however, was the sounds made when you miss a note. They seem much louder in Guitar Hero III unless you change the sound effects setting.

When checking out the songs available for play, we were all relieved and excited. There are many familiar songs, such as "One" by Metallica, "Bulls on Parade" by Rage Against the Machine, and "Paint it Black" by the Rolling Stones. There are also a lot that we weren't as familiar with, but are still so much fun to play.
With the new songs we wondered about gameplay. We had no need to worry. Game play actually got slightly better. For instance, with longer notes in Guitar Hero II there was never a time that you could do a hammer-on or pull-off onto another note after the first note was done. In Guitar Hero III, however, it is a recurring practice.
When playing Guitar Hero II before, we also wondered if we had a good note streak going. There was no way to know until the end of the song, when your one longest note streak was displayed. In Guitar Hero III there is a counter underneath your score. At about a 30-note streak the counter pops up and begins counting, so knowing your note streak is always just a glance away.
While playing single-player career mode we encountered another monumental new thing: Battling. During the third set list, Tom Morello (of Rage Against the Machine) challenges you to a play-off. Instead of having star-power notes, there are notes that have blade-looking edges. If you hit these in succession, you receive some sort of power. Whether it be "Double Notes," "Amp Overload," or "Broken Whammy," you lift the neck of your guitar (star power style) to use this power against the other player. The first person to fail the song loses. When you defeat Tom Morello (and two others later in the game) he asks you afterwards to play an encore with him. It's a lot of fun, and a twist on facing off against someone. Battling is also available in multiplayer, and it's a blast.
There are a few new characters in Guitar Hero III, including Tom Morello and Lou (devil-like creature who used to be your band manager). Aside from alternative outfits available for sale, there are also alternate styles, which change the outfit colors.
All in all, I think that Guitar Hero III is a great game. While Guitar Hero II will always have a special place in my heart (and I still play it often) Guitar Hero III is the game to play. The level of difficulty is higher, visually it has more to offer, and there are a ton of new songs to learn. It's a must-have to me. In fact, I have to stop writing so that I can try to beat "Through the Fire and Flames" on Expert now!
Wii Weight Loss: Is It Possible To Drop Pounds With Wii Sports?
Wii weight loss is the concept of having fun while playing video games while losing weight. Usually this Wii weight loss is accompanied by calorie restriction in addition to the moderate exercise that Wii gaming offers. Several bloggers across the web have created very popular sites detailing their Wii weight loss. Most of them have done this using the Wii Sports video game that comes free with the purchase of the Nintendo Wii system.
Wii Weight Loss with Wii Sports
Wii Sports is a set of five different sports games that utilize the Wii Remote's unique motion-sensing skills to get the player off the couch and burning calories. Many advanced users on the web report that Wii Sports is incredibly fun to play for the first couple days you have it. Some more advanced gamers are not as happy with it overall, but the allure of Wii Sports is that it is good fun for the gamer and non-gamer alike. Wii Sports has captured the hearts of wives, grandmas, mothers, kids, as well as hardcore gamers and casual gamers. For many, Wii Sports is just the first game they will play on Wii as they get used to the motion sensor controller. After they tire of Wii Sports they move on to other games. Wii Sports includes golf, tennis, and baseball games, which act as a showcase for Wii remote’s sensor functionality. Some find the game insanely addictive. The game draws every player into the experience. Wii Sports is the first Nintendo Wii title to use the Mii Channel, a customizable channel where you can create your own avatars. Wii Sports is fun to play with amongst some friends using the multi player function.
Wii Weight Loss with Wii Sports Has Critics
Some critics find it difficult to get used to the fact that in Wii Sports your character automatically runs forward to hit the ball. Others remark that the Wii remote waving around isn't a realistic experience. If following the strides of annual big name sports titles that rely on depth and realism is your thing, then Wii Sports isn't what you're looking for.
Wii Weight Loss Success with Wii Sports
Here are some quotes of people who had Wii weight loss success:
This guy lost nine pounds in six weeks enthusiastically playing his Wii.
Mickey started out at 182 pounds, and after a month and a half of Wii workouts, whittled his weight down to 172 pounds, which he found quite amazing considering that this was the first substantial loss he had attained in over two years, and he never even cut back on the Eat ’N Park cookies (or similar).

Get A Nintendo Wii – The Most Popular Game Console!
The Nintendo Wii has outsold all expectations for 2007, and it's causing havoc with holiday gift giving. Nintendo chose not to manufacture more of the Wii console , and it's getting hard to find them in stores this season.
Where can you find a Wii if you wanted to give a Nintendo Wii for a holiday gift? The best place to find one is online, and the best place online to buy a Wii are auction sites like eBay.
For months, the auction sites have had sellers with Nintendo Wii consoles available, both the regular console, with Wii Sports and a single controller, but also the game console bundles, including multiple games, Wii controllers and the unique nunchuk controller add-on. While some buyers might be hesitant to purchase a Wii console online, by following a few basic precautions, it's as safe as buying in any retail store.
The Nintendo Wii is so popular because it's got the unique motion sensitive controller. The game action is really exciting, and plenty of new Wii games are out to take advantage of the special features. While some gamers aren't happy that the graphics aren't state of the art, and rely on less than high definition, most average players don't care. You'll note in the ads for the Nintendo Wii that the players are kids, moms, dads, college students, and not the hard core gaming types. It's clear that this is a great gift for just about anyone. Here's how you can get the best deal on a Nintendo Wii console for the holidays:
- Use a reputable auction site. eBay for example has really cracked down on fraudulent sellers. They have designations including feedback and Power Seller status to demonstrate that a seller has a long-term history with eBay. Check your auction site to make sure you can get similar information.
- Use a secure payment option. If you are using a credit card, make sure your credit card company has buyer protection. When on eBay, PayPal, which is now owned by eBay, offers buyer protection too. At least you can get a refund from PayPal if your seller proves less than honorable.
- Review the auction to see if the seller accepts returns. What is the return policy if it's not a full refund? Be sure you are clear on those details.
- Buy insurance if it's available. Many reputable sellers require that you pay for insurance to guard against damage or loss in transit.
- Be sure to read the whole description and ask the seller any questions before bidding. Does the auction include all the pieces you need or want?
- Finally, review the shipping terms. Sometimes, the shipping price is raised to make the sale price look lower. See if you can upgrade our shipping service to get your new Wii console delivered faster? Know when to expect delivery, and whether it's coming from UPS or the Postal Service.
If you use these tips, you can have a Wii in time for holiday gift giving with no hassle. If you're new to auction buying, these tips will make sure your Nintendo Wii arrives safe and sound, and at a great price too!

What Nintendo Wii games should I have in my collection?
The Future of the Xbox 360
The Future of the Xbox 360
When it was first released, the Xbox 360 game console was truly at the top of its field. However, competition in the video game industry is fierce, and developers must constantly work to improve their designs. Thus, Microsoft is making strides towards improving its most powerful game console and bringing the Xbox 360 one more step into the future.
The Xbox 360 is already capable of doing so much. Most notably, it plays some of the most advanced games on the market. This refers not only to graphics and audio, but to strategy as well. Additionally, players can compete against each other online and communicate via voice and video chatting while doing so. The Xbox 360 can also play audio CDs and DVDs, making it a truly multi-purpose electronic device.
One of the key changes Microsoft hopes to make is to improve Xbox 360’s connectivity. Soon, the console will be able to easily interact with other multimedia devices, like digital cameras and mp3 players. Such devices would let users better customize their Xbox experience. This would be done using a simple USB connection. Other accessories will also be available for the Xbox 360 soon. This includes a joystick, keyboard, and special edition black controller.
Currently, most Xbox games must be purchased in disc format. However, soon this will be a thing of the past. Instead, all new content for the Xbox 360 will simply be downloaded from the internet. Xbox Live users can already do this on a small scale; downloading simple games and additions to games on disc. The recent launch of Xbox Originals has also expanded the concept of downloading game content right to the console.
Xbox 360 is also looking to expand its multiplayer features. Soon, the console’s Live features will allow users to create avatars and interact more easily with peers around the world. Users will also have greater influence over their gaming experience as the future of Xbox 360 unfolds. Developers are working on games where users can edit the content themselves. An early example of this is Forza Motorsport 2. With this game, players can use an editor to make their own content and trade it with others online.
Finally, Xbox 360 is looking to take users beyond gaming. Its developers recently announced a deal made with Netflix, which will allow Xbox 360 owners to get movies and television programs downloaded right to their console. A similar service may soon be available for music downloads. Another entertainment innovation will be Xbox Live Primetime. This will be a multiplayer game show network right on the Xbox 360 console. Players will be able to compete in virtual versions of their favorite game shows and even win real prizes.
Ultimately, Microsoft hopes its upcoming improvements to the Xbox 360 console will give their company an edge over competitors. Whether or not that will be the case remains to be seen. However, many fans are looking forward to a new level of gaming and entertainment to be brought to their Xbox 360 systems.

Which video game system should you buy?
The Wii is definitely the best video game system that should be bought when deciding out of any game systems. It gives you a good opportunity to be active and play games at the same time! The Wii is very effective and it beats out the Xbox 360 by a long run...I admit that for older gamers may enjoy the Xbox 360 or the Playstation 3 if they are looking for better graphics and some of the games are for a lot older people. However, the Wii is very fun and has games and graphics that children and grown-ups alike will all love. It brings all game systems into one big one and doubles the excitement! The only problem with the Wii is the low stock that are given to stores of them. Nintendo continues to hold them back and only releases them in stores about once a week. If you do happen to get a Wii then you are one lucky person! The Wii is very easy to connect and disconnect, move around (although you must be very careful when messing with any of the wireless bars,etc..on the Wii) and put in small spaces where the Xbox 360 or the Playstation 3 may not fit. Another wonderful thing about the Wii is the ability to play all old Game Cube games on it as well as Wii games (as long as you have the Game Cube remotes). Along with the Xbox 360 and other gaming systems that are out there right now, on the Wii you can set up and connect to your home Internet, which enables you to be able to buy games right when you are playing! The Wii also brings a unique feature of Weather, News, Photos, and Messaging. If you are connected to the Internet, you will be able to look at the weather, you will be able to see local news, and you will be able to download some of your photos onto the Wii which you can edit, send, and do many other fun things with them, that if you didn't have the correct equipment you may not even be able to accomplish with the computer! One of the things I enjoy on the Wii is the ability to send messages between other Wii systems. You can send game results and many other amazing things! Best of all the Wii brings out a whole new world called Miis. They are small characters which you can make from scratch, or start with basic things already set up for you. Once you are done creating the characters you can let them "mingle" in which they can travel around to different Wiis and make new friends. If you ever have to go through the decision of buying a video game system I would definitely without a doubt recommend the Wii. It is the best and I'm not sure if anything better will be able to be made. Get the Wii! It is great and it has been a lot of fun for me to work with!

The Nintendo Wii is for All Age Groups
The Wii is much smaller than what most people expect it to be. It is smooth, distinctive and looks good. The Wii-mote, as the
remote is referred to, is easy to use once you are familiar with the keys. The Nunchuck control is also good when you connect
it to the Wii-mote for playing the games included with the system. You can buy additional games when you wish to do so. The
sensor bar is very easy to set up and the entire setup doesn't take long to start gaming. The Wii comes with owner manuals
and it is recommended that you go through the manuals so that you understand the system well enough to get the most out of
it.
When you start playing the Wii games you will find that they require some physical participation from you. This is because of

the motion-sensor technology built into the controller. This enables you to play, for example a game of tennis, using the
Wii-mote as a tennis racket. The classic Wii controller is sold separately.
Playing the Wii games will enable you to get into shape, and stay that way. You may select the games you enjoy playing for
regular exercise such as tennis, bowling, and boxing. The Wii includes a fitness age test for assessing your physical
condition after a few rounds of some of the games included. The Wii assesment takes into consideration your speed, balance,
reaction, timing as well as some other characteristics of your physical dexterity. If you play with the Wii regularly, your
fitness will definitely improve.
You can connect to Nintendo's website either using wireless (WiFi) or ethernet. Once you are logged in, you will be able to
download additional games to your Wii. Using the "Virtual Console" you will be able to use the Wii's backwards capability to
play Nintendo's NES games, Super Nintendo games, Sega Master System games and Turbogrfx. You can pay for these games with points purchased with your credit card. Alternatively, you can buy the Nintendo Points cards at your local gaming store or supermarkets such as Walmart or Target, and then redeem these points for games.
Using the Nintendo Wii you can access a weather channel, a voting channel where you can cast your vote on various issues, an
Internet channel where you use a web browser to surf the net and you can even register friends and colleagues so that you can
email them.
The Nintendo Wii is not just for kids, and is highly recommended for all age groups. Even experienced gamers who have
purchased the Nintendo Wii just love it. The Wii is great fun, has vast potential for entertainment. With it's online
features, the Wii is a wonderful experience for everyone. If you have been putting off purchasing the Wii or thought that the
Wii remote control was not well designed, then you have no idea what you are missing out on. It is best for you to buy the
Wii and try it out yourself.

Get Into the Groove With Nintendo Wii
While many video games have turned today's youths into small couch potatoes: Nintendo Wii is looking to change all of that. Nintendo Wii, or simply called "Wii" by most people, is an interactive action-based video game you hook up to your television set.
The Wii has taken the U.S.A. by storm and has continuously sold out from any store it has been placed in. People will stand on line in rain, snow or any type of weather to get their hands on the Wii. The Wii sells on eBay for up to three times its selling price of about three hundred and fifty dollars.
When you purchase the Wii gaming console, you get a number of things. You receive the Wii sports disk with several popular sports to play either as a dual player, 4-players or just as an individual. You receive hardware such as the Wii console, remote, nonchuck, sensor bar, console stand and an AV cable.
Everything about the Wii is smartly designed. The Wii console is slim and sleek and will look attractive next to any television set. It is also discrete looking and not bulky or the type of gadget that will take up a lot of space in your living room or family room. The Wii remote control is very intuitive, with buttons being different sizes and also different shapes. You can easily understand just how it works as you are setting up your Wii to play games.
To play Wii you create your own Mii character to represent yourself in the games. This is very much like an avatar that you may have created at Internet websites. The Mii characters are attractive and friendly. While the Mii character will not look exactly like you, it is fun to see this character that looks similar to you interacting within the game or activity you are playing.
This summer Wii has come out with their latest creation: Wii Fit. The Wii Fit is an athletic game of sorts that teaches body sculpting, yoga and aerobics. You can take your BMI (body mass index) and also track your fitness levels. This is ideal for the person that wants to get in shape or who may want to lose some weight. The Wii Fit offers five different sports activities. The activities are easy enough for a beginner to start and will be enjoyable for the advanced exerciser.
The only challenge one could wonder about is if those that use the Wii Fit will get bored with the exercises just the way people get bored with an exercise DVD and they require some type of variety for stimulation. Perhaps Wii is already ahead of us in this respect and is planning even more athletic "games" to be added to Wii Fit.
The Wii is a very creative idea for a video game and certainly has both children and adults getting up off the couch to play with it. This fun game can burn several hundred calories an hour, just like regular exercise. With its popularity, it is clear that many adults and children are enjoying Wii very much and continue to use it far beyond its early popularity. Nintendo is known for bringing us many high-quality video games and the Wii is simply an ingenious answer to the American obesity crisis.

Benefits of playing video games – Part 3
With the average youth playing over 13 hours of video games a week, (Video Game Addiction: 81% of American Youth Play; 8.5% are Addicted, 2006) there is no debating that todays youth are playing far to much time gaming.
Fortunately, the makers of Nintendo whether intentional or not, have created a diversion that engages youth in an active form of gaming. With the creation of the Nintendo WII children are forced to get up off the coach and be active while playing video games, and surprisingly enough, not only do kids love it, but adults are enjoying it as well.
I purchased this game, not for my son, but for my husband. This investment has engaged my whole family in fun, quality time, gaming together. In addition it has successfully distracted my son from traditional video games, which he spend far too much time vegetating in front of. While the enjoyment that my family has found is reward enough, I was elated to learn that nursing homes are using Nintendo WII to engage their residents. Seniors who have been unable to bowl, play tennis, or even golf because of health conditions, are now able to participate in the activities they once so dearly loved. Who would have thought that one day seniors would be as excited about video games as our children?

The game controller works like your club or bowling ball and you have to simulate the exact motion that you would make while holding the controller. The difference is you don't have a ten pound bowling ball in your hand to bowl, or have to walk an entire golf course to enjoy a game of golf. While the game isn't the exact replica of the true sport, it is surprisingly accurate. Regardless of how much I play, my golf score is still double par and somehow I've even managed to throw my bowling ball backwards. (Things I do when I play the real games, proving how close to reality Nintendo WII truly is.)
With all the controversy of video game violence and excessive play, it is nice to finally see something positive coming from video games. So to the creators of Nintendo WII, I say thank you for offering a solution to the video game craze that has plagued our youth for over a decade!

Wii Fit is Perfect for the Young and Old Alike. But What is it and Why are so Many People Clamoring to Get It?
Wii Fit is perfect for the young and old alike. But what is it and why are so many people clamoring to get it?
Nintendo Wii Fit with Wii Balance Board turns your TV room into a workout centerfor the whole family. Family members will have fun getting a "good" exercise, and viewing results and progress on a new channel on the Wii Menu. Nintendo's system has made gaming more available by changing natural human motion into game control, and with every move of the wrist it has been adding an entirely new base into the fold as full-fledged videogamers. What Wii Sports and the Wii Remote did for bringing sports to the living room, Wii Fit and the Balance Board are doing for physical fitness and exercise. Nintendo has finally accomplished some things they've wanted for a long time: expansion of the gaming industry and a few successful peripherals. They've been trying to convert us that add-ons are the means since the beginning.
Wii fit is fun when you first get it because everything is new and exciting to play. But the problem is, it doesn’t take long to control the balance games and soon after the game loses a lot of appeal, just as the wii sports package did. It is a great tool for what I want. All my other exercise stuff is collecting dust while my board needs daily cleanup from all the use it gets.
Wii Fit is actually geared at exercise. It is a game that comes with a balance board. It has yoga and a lot of other exercise programs on it. It is more about conditioning and minor strength training and so you need to do a lot more on top of using the Wii Fit for it to be any sort of benefit to your health. Thanks to its gesture-based interface and a roster of gyration-inducing games, the Nintendo Wii has always offered the added gain of a low-impact physical exercise. Now there's Wii Fit , a $90 software-and-hardware bundle, the noble purpose of which is to get gamers to drop those unwanted pounds.
Anyone who has experienced the Wii's motion-controlled games knows that playing them can be quite an exercise, but "Wii Fit" takes that concept to a whole new level of exhaustion. The goal is to make physical fitness exciting for the whole family. Anyone who is serious about weight loss won't completely leave it to a game! Even without the game, individuals don't solely trust on scales to learn whether or not they are overweight, they look in the mirror, estimate by the feel of their clothes and how they feel personally.
Wii fit is just another instrument available. It is a different and innovative way to help you and your family remain fit in the comfort of your home, through simple daily workouts. More than a gaming experience, Wii Fit is a health and lifestyle product with more than 40 exercises, across four categories: balance games, yoga, muscle workouts and aerobic exercises. Wii Fit is potentially more revolutionary than Wii Sports in it's purpose to attract "casual" gamers. Once people see fitness as being more accessible and fun, then there's no stopping Wii.
Wii Fit is a great supplement for anyone’s workout routine. Using the slightly heavy and durable Wii balance board, Wii Fit tracks a user’s weight and BMI (Body Mass Index) by measuring the user’s weight and height.
Wii Fit is already starting to pop up in gymnasiums across Japan and we'd imagine a similar reception here in the states. Wii Fit is simple to use, and simply the most fun way to keep you, your family and friends fit. It is a million seller in the US. Nintendo themselves said they would have a million units of Wii Fit for the US launch.

Nintendo Wii: Rewrote the History of Consoles

The Wii, the fifth home video game console from Nintendo, is the direct successor to the Nintendo Game Cube. The console was launched targeting a broader demographic than that of Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3, its competitors. The distinguishing features of the console are the wireless controller, and the Wii that can be used as a handheld pointing device and could detect acceleration in three dimensions. It was in the 2004 E3 press conference, that Nintendo first spoke of the gaming console model and later unveiled the system at the 2005 E3. The gaming console was known by the name of "Revolution" until April 27, 2006, immediately prior to E3. It is the first home console has marketed outside Japan without the company name featured in the trademark. Despite the justifications from Nintendo for the name, there were a wide preference among some game developers for the name Revolution and members of the press initially reacted negatively towards the change.
It was in September 14, 2006 that the company announced the release of the Nintendo Wii gaming console for Japan, North and South America, Australasia, Asia and Europe including dates, prices, and projected unit distribution numbers. It was announced that the majority of the 2006 shipments would be allotted to the Americas and that 33 titles would be available in the 2006 launch window. Nintendo announced that it would release its console in South Korea at the beginning of 2008.
The launch of the console showed remarkable results in the sales. The monthly sales numbers of the console crossed its competitors across the globe. As per the NPD Group, the Wii sold more units than the Xbox 360 and Play Station 3 in the North America combined in the first half of 2007. In Australia, the Nintendo Wii exceeded the record set by the Xbox 360 by Microsoft, becoming the fastest selling gaming console in Australian history. This is the first time this console has led its generation in sales since the Super Nintendo Entertainment system. The Company warned that the it would remain in short supply throughout 2007, while the company produces approximately 1.8 million Wii consoles each month. At a time when Microsoft and Sony experienced losses producing their consoles in the hopes of making a long-term profit on software sales, Nintendo reportedly has optimised production costs to obtain a significant profit margin with each Wii unit sold. As per the Financial Times, this direct profit per Wii sold may vary from $13 in Japan to $49 in the United States and $79 in Europe.
Gifts for men who love sports
The truth is that some people are nervous about buying gifts for men who really love their sports. Men can sometimes be a bit addicted when it comes to their favorite sports teams and events. Therefore, some might be a bit hesitant about contributing to their weekend habit. On the other hand, they might be worried that a gift in a totally different category would be quickly set aside due to lack of interest. Still, there are a few things that can be bought for the man that loves sports. Here are a few thoughts on those particular gifts and how to purchase them.
COFFEE TABLE BOOKS
Photography has always be a part of sports. Therefore, a good coffee table book of someone's favorite team or his favorite sport can be a good gift. Granted, it isn't like you are buying them a novel, but at least it has pages, right? Oftentimes, large bookstores like Barnes and Noble will have sales on these types of picture books.

VIDEO GAMES
This gift idea can make some people cringe since the sports-loving man doesn't exactly need something else to occupy their time. But, video games can be a fun outlet for the man who wants to live out his sports fantasies and the television screen. The emergence of the Wii has been a particularly fun way to enjoy video games because it requires much more physical involvement. Some might argue that the Wii actually requires a real workout when playing certain sports.
CAMPS
Today, there are "fantasy" camps for certain sports where men can put on uniforms and play some of their favorite sports. Depending on the camp, the instruction can be provided by professionals or former stars. Granted, this is potentially a very expensive gift, so it should not be considered lightly.
WARDROBE
Jerseys and hats are often popular with the sports fan. Granted, these can also be expensive items, particularly if they are "authentic" or "licensed" uniforms. Therefore, the buyer should shop around and look to Internet sites that offer discounted items. Sometimes online auction sites such as Ebay are also a good source for this type of gift.
Whatever you buy the sports-loving man, it should be something that they will enjoy. However, it is fair to avoid certain gifts if you know that it will cause them to be even more addicted to their favorite pastime. Desired gifts are one thing, but some people still need boundaries.

Power Up with Xbox 360 Power Supply
The Xbox 360 especially requires substantial power, more than twice that of the original Xbox and other consoles on the market. In order to cover the need for electricity, the Xbox 360 power supply is huge.
The Xbox 360 power supply is so large in fact that many gamers buy more than one AC adapters to leave at different houses just so they do not have to carry it around. However, with so much power in such a condensed space, it is no wonder that the Xbox 360 suffers from many heat problems.
Troubles with the Xbox 360
The Xbox 360, one of the newest game consoles available, has already had numerous complaints. It is frequently hounded with problems, from hardware failures to overheating.
A lot of these problems, however, can be pinpointed to the power supply. Simply put the Xbox 360 power supply alll the time, especially if hidden beneath shelves. The large current from the AC adapter, needs to breathe; it needs to have fresh air in order to cool down.
Many companies have sought to introduce an Xbox 360 power supply less prone to overheating. Similar to PCs with built-in fans, these supplies have proven even less reliable than the official Microsoft versions.
Microsoft claims they are developing a better, stronger, Xbox 360 power supply. Many gamers have taken things into their own hands, especially when their AC adapters burn out and they are need to buy new ones.
By modifying existing PC power units, they have constructed, supplies that appear to work better than the originals. While it is risky when modifying the Xbox 360, including the loss of the warranty, many players refuse to suffer through interrupted game play anymore due to the sad Xbox 360 power supply.

How to Get a Free Wii-kend With the Help of the Wii Games Console Update
Hi, I just thought I would write a quick article to answer a few of questions that I had recieved from alot of people about the article I wrote last month titled "How to get a free Wii-kend" for those of you that didnt read it, it was about my son going over to Benidorm on a fag run where he met up with a guy he partially knew who was over there buying a Wii with a group of other guys and then bringing them back to sell on Ebay for a nice little profit which covered the cost of the whole Wii Kend.
When i mean the whole cost i mean flights, hotel accomodation, food and drinks.

Well alot of people got in contact to ask if i knew of any other products that offered the same opportunities, well im working on it as i would like to go and do it myself, why should'nt anyone want to go away for the wii-kend have a great time and then sell something somebody wants for a profit and use that profit to pay for there good time?
One of the problems at the moment the games console market has now got more stock in the shops and games are reaching the stores more readily, so no real shortages at present, but as soon as something released that really gets people excited im sure an opportunity or two will arise.
If you do find something in demand there are a few things you should always remember, here is my checklist, you might add a thing or too yourself
1, Make sure there is an eager market for your product
2, Make sure there is a reliable supply at your destination
3, Make a budget by getting accurate costings of travel and accomodation
4, When taking others with you make sure they will get on together on the trip
5, Go with the view of enjoying yourself and not a business trip
When i get a sniff of an opportunity i will write another article and post it out as soon as possible, also if anyone has any ideas please contact me.
As for sales on my site consolesmarket.com & .co.uk its still the usual pattern of Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii still dominating the hits and sales. The sale values have also dropped slightly as supply has reached the stores now since Christmas. Games are hot as every with DS leading the way.
Nintendo and Sony Close on Sales in January 2008

The NPD Group provided a reminder this week that market growth is not guaranteed. The gaming industry in the US ended the year (2007) with record retail sales of nearly $18 billion.
This week The NPD Group the industry-research firm released US retail sales data for the January 2008 period. While software sales for the month were up 11 percent to nearly $611 million, hardware sales fell by a quarter to around $378 million. Combine that with a modest decline in accessory sales, the industry overall was down 6 percent for the month, posting $1.18 billion compared to January 2007's $1.25 billion take.
Despite this, the month contained indications that the industry actually grew. That was because the January 2007 reporting period was five weeks long as opposed to this January's four-week span. Analyst Anita Frazier said that the numbers are much rosier when this adjustment was taken into account.
The big winner in the gaming market was console software which was nearly 50 percent up when compared to last year.
Hardware sales were down and a lot of this was to do with poor supply that assertion was backed up by a statement from Microsoft saying the Xbox 360 was suffering from temporary shortages.
Nintendo's longtime lead on its competitors was also slimmed. The Wii once again took the console sales crown, by a narrower margin than in previous months. In a month that saw significant advances for the PlayStation 3's chosen Blu-ray disc format, Sony's system ran nearly neck-and-neck with the Wii, selling 269,000 systems compared to the Nintendo’s 275,000. 3rd placed Nintendo DS racked up 251,000 sales, while the Xbox 360 and PlayStation Portable brought up the rear, selling 230,000 units each.
Familiar faces dominated the software list, with Modern Warfare and Call of Duty 4 for the Xbox 360 once again beating all challengers, notching up 331,000 in sales. Another favourite Guitar Hero on the Wii and Xbox 360 took third and fifth respectively, Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii was sixth and the DS edition of Mario Party in ninth.

Xbox 360: A Revolution In Console Gaming
It wasn't so long ago that kids who got the "new" Nintendo 8-bit gaming console or the Sega system for Christmas were the envy of every less fortunate and burned out Atari owning neighborhood playmate. As time elapsed, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and NES's Turbo Graphix 16 became all the rave. Anyone now in their twenties can recall being impressed by the awesome advancements in playability and graphic display of the Nintendo 64 and Sega's Dreamcast system, and even more recently (only five or so years ago) the advent of Microsoft's Xbox, Nintendo's Game Cube, and the Play Station by Sony. The Video Gaming industry has made great strides in the past twenty years: from slow-moving, barely recognizable forms on screen in original Atari games such as Pac-Man, Calga, and Tron, to the extremely vivid and life-like graphics of Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell, and Tekken; available for the Xbox and Play Station. Now, just in time for Christmas 2005, Microsoft has made the next move in the continuing race for Video Gaming Supremacy with the introduction of the Xbox 360. The result is truly phenomenal.
The Xbox 360, as with all video game consoles, is basically just a computer with hardware and software dedicated to the function of running video games. The original Xbox was pretty much just a Microsoft PC with a modified Pentium III processor, some powerful graphics and audio capabilities, and a modified version of the Windows 2000 operating system, all packaged in that distinctive black box.
This year Microsoft has released two versions of the Xbox 360: the Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Core System. The Xbox 360Core System is "plug and play", that is, that in addition to the console, it includes an integrated controller and an AV cable. The Xbox 360 (not the "Core system") comes with a wireless controller, an HD AV cable, an Ethernet connectivity cable, a headset, a media remote, and a removable 20-GB hard drive.
For anyone who thought the original Xbox was a technological marvel, you must try this out! As amazing and realistic as the play on the first Xbox was, the Xbox 360 makes its predecessor look tired and worn-out. Microsoft has rebuilt the Xbox from the ground up. From the name to the look, from hardware to features, the Xbox 360 is a radically different and more powerful machine than the original Xbox. Far more than a video game console, the Xbox 360 is a total media center that allows users to play games, network with other 360 owners; rip, stream and download all types of media, including high-definition movies, music, digital pictures and game content, as well as play DVD movies and audio CD's.
The Xbox 360 will revolutionize the gaming world. Microsoft has definitely set the new standard in video game technology.

All about wii

Wii Sports, packaged with the Wii console, introduces players to those and many other experiences. Wii also taps into Nintendos unrivaled legacy of great games with the Virtual Console. Connecting via wireless broadband to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, Wii owners will be able to spend Virtual Console points to download selected classic games from NES, Super NES and N64 video game consoles. And through WiiConnect24, owners will be able to access even more content. Four-player compatibility as well as the ability to compete with other Wii players over broadband internet means that Wii offers a true social experience. * Design Featuring a compact design that makes it a natural addition to any television setup, the Wii console is white in color and can be displayed either vertically or horizontally.
Nintendo's Wii video game system (pronounced "we") is designed to attract people, regardless of their age or video game experience, to sit down and play together--whether they're in the same room or on different sides of the globe. The system's name reflects this simple idea. It's easily pronounced in a variety of languages, and the distinctive spelling suggests two players side by side. The two Wii features Nintendo thinks will create new levels of gaming community are built-in Wi-Fi access, supported by a new online gaming service, and Wii's intuitive, wireless, motion-sensitive game controller.
As with every new console release, much of the buzz surrounds the specs. The system boasts 512 MB of internal flash memory, two USB 2.0 ports, and a slot for SD memory expansion. Wii's technological heart -- a processing chip developed with IBM and code-named "Broadway" and a graphics chipset from ATI code-named "Hollywood" -- are said to deliver stunning performance. Instead of a tray, Wii uses a single, self-loading media bay that will play both 12-centimeter optical discs used for the new system, as well as Nintendo GameCube discs.
The real revolution in this system, though, is its controller, called the Wii Remote. Shaped like a TV remote, it's been designed to be easily used by beginners and pros alike. Sensors determine the Wii Remote's position is in 3-D space, which means that racing-game steering and a tennis swing, for example, are done through movements of your hand rather than by just your thumbs. What's more, a tiny speaker built into the Wii Remote promises some interactive surround sound experiences. The controller also has a force feedback "Rumble" feature and an expansion port for use with accessories, such as the Nunchuck, which adds an analog thumbstick and trigger buttons. An adapter that fits over the Wii's wee remote will be available for those who prefer the feel of a traditional controller. The Wii Remote communicates via the Bluetooth wireless standard. Up to four remotes can connect to Wii.
Finding Cheap Nintendo Wii Consoles And Games For Sale – 5 Tips For Success
If you've ever done shopping for the Nintendo Wii gaming console then you know how much of rarity it really is. Finding a cheap nintendo wii console is even harder. When it comes down to it, its about smart shopping and being tactful in your purchasing endevour. By doing so you can guarantee getting your hands on a cheap nintendo wii console and games that fit your needs perfectly. Below are 5 tips for success when finding cheap nintendo wii consoles and games for sale at the lowest possible price while still buying a working product.
1. Consider the source - If you are looking for a Nintendo Wii Sale from a local vendor, your likelyhood is next to nil. The benefit of buying from a local dealer is that you can usually assume that the product is new, but you are going to pay for it. Buying retail means that you are also paying for labor wages, their electric bill, taxes and probably somewhere around a twenty percent mark-up if not more for the item. Needless to say, you pay more, but for a new product.
2. Buying online is another method that may be useful, however again, consider the source. When buying online for a cheap nintendo wii console or cheap nintendo wii games, read the fine print (if any), check for notations about scratches, inproper functionality, etc. Be thorough in this process.
3. Buy bundled and save! Buying a cheap nintendo wii bundle with games is a great way to get both games, accessories and the console at a single low price. Be aware though, sometimes bundles are a way of really jacking up the price. Always do price comparisons with the games and accessories to see how much of a deal you are really getting.
4. Buying second hand online can be fruitful! Buying second hand online is a great way to save big. often times people just didn't like their Nintendo Wii gaming system, or they got two for christmans, or they wanted a playstation 3, whatever the case always make sure to protect yourself. Buy insurance when applicable, ask about return policy, get all the answers befor you click (buy now). By proceeding with caution you can help ensure that you are getting a great product at a low price.
5. When buying a cheap nintendo wii console and cheap nintendo wii games, find out why they are really cheap. Not to say you should be paranoid by any means, but do atleast bring up the question.
Simply stated when buying a cheap Nintendo Wii console for sale, you don't ask, you don't get. Finding an sale on a cheap Nintendo Wii is very easy to do when you are both analytical and frugal. Stay sharp, ask questions, and when you see a good deal, act. The more you know about what you are buying and the better you are educated on various products, services and identifying quality products then you are well on your way to making smarter choices and paying less.

Which video game console is better: XBox 360 or PlayStation 3? – Part 1
![[19/365] Xbox 360 Controller](http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3563/3301883956_7597390167_t.jpg)
After reading many of the xbox 360 articles trying to tell me that the Xbox 360 is better than i ps3, i decided this article is very important to do because i must proof why the ps3 is in fact, the much better console. Although please bear in mind that this is my opinion and your opinion is your own opinion so ps3 and xbox 360 arguements is all a matter of opinions Although by spec the ps3 is more advanced (i dont really care about that though,im just saying it cos its true)
Ok, so now to let me really talk, im not going to talk about specs and all that stuff because, lets be honest, no one really cares about what graphics the ps3 and xbox 360 has got e.t.c. im going to actually talk about the consoles. The first thing im going to talk about is the Games, because i do admit that the xbox 360 has some good games, Halo, Fable, Gears of War e.t.c. And this is mainly because they are microsoft and lets face it, They are the biggest name in the world, Although ps3 do have some games such as Killzone 2 which xbox do not have but obviously not as many. So, now ive got that little argument out the way i can now prove why ps3 is better.
The Internet browser is a huge development in the Gaming Community. Not only is this a browser where you can search on google and look at your email and even use msn useing EBuddy, It is somthing that you can use Youtube with and watwch television on various different sites. The Xbox 360 does not have any Internet browser despite what romours you have heard and it is going to stay that way unless Microsoft has a update.
Another aspect i would like to pic on is the 'free' Internet on PS3 and the 'paid' Internet on xbox 360. First of all, no, the PS3 internet play is NOT free, in order to play online with the ps3 you need to pay for your internet and this is somthing that you must do even with xbox 360, so it may be 15 pounds or more a month. I have heard that the ps3 cost roughly 100 pounds more than a xbox, so the free live on ps3 evens out because if you play xbox 360 live for 2 years, it would of cost you 80 pounds and it would roughly come all together (if you understand me). But thats only if you have one account, at my house we have got a xbox 360 with live but because it cost us 40 pounds a year me and my 3 brothers all need to share one account, that means my brothers are talking to my friends and useing my data on Call of duty 4, However on our ps3 we all have our own account because the onlien play is free, so we have saved 160 pounds by useing the Ps3 rather than xbox 360. So, the ps3 owns the Xbox 360 when it comes to live play.
The gamerscore is not on ps3 and it is crap anyway, Why is there gamerscore when there is Achievments and PS3 have trophys which is the same as achivements.
Ok, when it comes to players online...let me guess 'Xbox has more players than ps3' Well what if i say 1.8 Billion people play online a day.....For ps3, eH? thats ALOT of people, although xbox live DOES have 8 billion people (reached just after christmas) Do you really think that is going to make the slighest difference to yur personal online play? no it wont, 1.8 billion is ALOT of people.
The Ps3 is also good because of the various downloadables and buyables you can get on the Playstation store, Where as xbox 360 is very limited to downloads they can get.
Oh ye, also we got Blue ray :p
Which video game console is better: XBox 360 or PlayStation 3? – Part 6
Well, as a gaming enthusiast myself, as soon as the Xbox 360 and PS3 was released, I immediately got one of each. The Xbox 360 was the first console I purchased and I was quite impressed with its performance (The only console I played before that was PS2) The graphics was good on High Definition and the range of games was quite large for a new console.A buddy of mine had endless problems with his console. He purchased 3 Xbox 360 consoles and kept having problems.Sooner or later I started having problems and issues with the Xbox 360. The disc tray wouldn't open sometimes and somehow my discs even got scratched while being read. The thing that irritates me the most about the Xbox 360 is the fact that if I want to play online I have to purchase a Xbox live membership. I couldn't believe that after I spent so much money on the console, games and accessories, I still have to purchase this membership to play on line.
As soon as I purchased my PS3, somehow, I stopped playing Xbox 360. The sheer power of the PS3 blew me away. The games looked great and the console was user friendly.I could even play multi-player games for free!
The fact that it could read Blu-ray discs too was just the cherry on top. A Blue-ray disc can hold up to 50gb of data on a dual layer disc. Imagine the type of games developers can make with 50gb worth of space.
Another thing that attracted me to the PS3 was the motion sensing sixaxis controller. It makes the game just that much more interactive. When you are guiding a cannonball into a tower by tilting and moving your controller on Heavenly sword the feeling is just unlike an experience another console has failed to deliver (Excepting the Wii as the Wii does not fall in the Xbox 360 and PS3's performance bracket) Another thing that the PS3 has going in its favour is the exclusivity of some major titles. Gran turismo, God of War and Final fantasy are just a few examples, For those 3 titles alone it makes the PS3 tip the scales in its favour over the Xbox 360. PS3 just has a better looking future as well. The PS3 is keeping up with the Xbox 360's pace even though it full potential has not been realised by developers as yet. Its sort of a sleeping giant. The PS3 also gets my thumbs up because of the Wifi connectivity.I do not need to purchase some extra adaptor for wifi as with the Xbox360.
In conclusion, even though the Xbox 360 attempts to dethrone the PS3, I don't even think its in the same league. The PS3s' potential still has to be realised while the Xbox 360 has already reached its max.

Does the unique control method for the Nintendo Wii make it a niche gaming system?
People both praise and bemoan the mass social acceptance of the Wii games console, but does it's unique motion control and aiming functions separate it from the gaming mainstream?
It has been said that the Wii is a casual mainstream phenomenon and it's considered in essence to be a mainstream gaming platfom. The biggest titles on the wii actually happen to be in the casual bracket of gaming (Wii Sports, Wii Play) and many of the best selling titles are actually not games in truth, I speak of Wii Fit in particular. The poor ratio of games sold to consoles sold is another indicator that many of the people buying the Wii are non-gamers not actually buying the Wii for good games. The best Wii game according to Metacritic is Mario Galaxy yet the initial sales of the game were disappointing considering the anticipation and hype surrounding it and other titles such as Wii Fit have actually performed far better at retail again indicating that the audience of the Wii are not traditional gamers.
The control method for the Wii is more suited to puzzle games and has in many of it's applications overwhelmed the experience I think mainly of games like Metroid, Sonic and the Secret Rings and Geometry Wars Galaxies. Take Sonic for example, it can very easily be considered a niche game as it puts the player in various locations wich the player is not free to explre or interact with in any traditional sense. It actually removes the player from the character and instead gives them a limted series of actions to perform at key intervals, whcih are triggered by swatting or shaking either the Wiimote or Nunchuk.
Now a non gamer could pick this all up and practice to a level of profficiency that would get them through the game although it has to be said it wouldnt be enjoyable. In effect mastering the difficult controls would have the opposite effct that the developers intended in that it would make the player feel that they had little control over the character and it would force upon the player long and complex memory tests with one mistake leading to failure. Back in the day such a game would contain no computer generated imagery at all and instead comprise entirely of FMV sequences wich triggers for the player to make split second decisions to influence the story, such "games" were called interactive movies and are now a quaint memory of videogaming's past.
Games that use the Wiimote (by aiming) actually require less accuracy contrary to the common assumption. My top

The XBox 360, Not Just For Video Games

On November 22, 2005, Microsoft released the long awaited XBox 360, the next generation of its popular XBox gaming console. The XBox 360, however, goes farther than any game system that users are currently accustomed to. The XBox 360 is more like a fully functional, broadband connected entertainment gadget that appeals to gamers but is equipped to entertain the whole family.
Although smaller than the original XBox (The 360 weighs in at a mere 7.7 lbs), this version packs so many nifty features in a small package. If you also happen to own a HDTV, you will truly be able to appreciate the advanced graphics features and support for windscreen (16:9) format. Of course, the console will work on regular television as well, but the depth of the graphics will be particularly stunning on more advanced televisions. The XBOx 360 carries a ATI graphics processor and 10MB of embedded DRAM. This setup allows the XBox 360 to draw up to 500 million triangles per second for the ultimate in realistic graphics.
The XBox 360 unit also has a 12x dual layer DVD Rom drive that serves the dual purpose of playing XBox games as well as ordinary DVDs. There is also additional support for surround sound audio for the ultimate home theater experience and realistic gaming.
For game save and other media storage, you can optionally purchase a 20GB external harddrive which also serves to make the XBox 360 backwards compatible with original XBox games.
The XBox 360 goes well beyond the range of gaming and video with its built-in Ethernet port that allows users to connect via their broadband connection to XBox live (available in various flavors). XBox live will allow you to play live over the Internet, use voice and even video chat and, of course, purchase additional goodies for your XBOx. In addition to ethernet connectivity, you can optionally purchase wireless adapters that comply with the standard wireless 802.11 protocol for integration into your existing wireless network. For other data transfer tasks, such as uploading of your digital photos, digital home movies, and music, you can use the integrated USB 2.0 port. With all of these features, it is a piece of cake to stream all of your digital files.
As you can see, the XBox 360 offers a little something for everyone. Kids can enjoy the futuristic gaming capabilities (check game ratings for age appropriateness), and Mom and Dad can enjoy the file sharing, music and video streaming, and home theater features.
A look at Microsofts Xbox 360 problems – Part 1

Beware! The red ring of death! Anyone who has owned an Xbox 360 knows all about the infamous "red ring of death". This refers to when the Xbox 360's light indicator, which is typically green, flashes red due to a system error. Since it's release, Xbox 360 has caught a bad wrap for having many technical problems. Two of the main problems people have encountered are scratched discs and their console overheating.
The most common problem people have encountered with the Xbox 360 is the scratched disc mystery. Of course, scratched discs don't work well on any system, but the Xbox 360 can actually cause these scratches. I have had more than one occasion where a disc didn't read. When I went to clean the disc, I noticed perfect circular scratches on the disc. The problem here is in the faulty construction in the system. When you pop a disc in, there is nothing that holds it firmly in the system, such as a tray. This, in result, can cause the discs to be scratched if the console is moved or shaken while in operation. Xbox 360 is well aware of this problem, and will even replace certain games that have been scratched. But nobody should have to deal with this process when the problem is solely the manufacturer's.
Overheating has been a very prevalent problem for Xbox 360 owners. The bad part is, most people have no idea the console has overheated. The red error light that starts flashing isn't exactly a clear indicator of how serious your problem is. To avoid getting too technical, all the chips and boards inside the Xbox 360 are soldered together. The problem with the solder that Microsoft used is that is much more fragile than solder used in the past. This solder, when heated enough, can become extremely brittle and crack. And when solder breaks, things come apart. And behold, the flashing ring.
It is estimated that around 30% of Xbox 360 systems fail. Mind-blowing. I, for one, stand on the fringes of the other 70 or so percent that haven't had any fatal errors to my console. But I know several people who have owned two or more Xbox 360s due to these problems. I have experienced, however, the scratched disc problems along with a few other minor problems. Other Xbox 360 owners can also attest to the fact that the console makes some strange sounds. Aside from the system fan which rivals the decibel output of a small helicopter, the system seems to moan and groan. My theory? Maybe it is longing to be with the rest of it's family in the Microsoft repair department. Let's hope not.
Is it possible to legally copy WII games?
When you lay out between $30 and $60 for a single Wii game, it can be extremely disconcerting when one of those games gets scratched, dented or otherwise damaged and stops working. Unfortunately, many Wii games don't respond particularly well to disk cleaners, either. One little accident, and you're out that $60.
Fortunately, you can legally copy your Wii games. While it's not exactly an intuitive or an easy process, the good news is that it can be done. However, one of the things that makes copying Wii games a problem is that your Wii console won't just play those backed up games without some changes.
The kinds of things you need to do to your Wii console inorder to get it to play a game that you've backed up can be a bit scary. If you're not careful, you can wind up voiding your warranty and destroying your Wii console completely.
One way to do it is with a special "mod chip." This chip is soldered into the board of your Wii console. Obviously, opening up your Wii console and attaching new electronics to the inside of it will void your warranty. Unless you're an expert at these sorts of electronic tasks, you probably aren't going to take the risk.
You can, however, use those copied Wii games by modifying the software on your Wii. This is a more attractive option, as changing the software on your Wii doesn't void your warranty. However, with system updates and such you may find that you have to wait to download the latest Wii system software until the vendor that provides your software changes adapts the software for the new Wii system update.
There is also a way to copy your Wii games in such a manner as that you don't have to change your Wii console around at all. You don't need to add a mod chip, and you don't need to modify the system software. Programs such as "Game Copy Pro will actually allow you to create a copy of your Wii game that will play on the Wii. You make the copy on your PC using the Game Copy Pro software, and it encodes the disc in such a way that your Wii can read it correctly.
The act of copying the Wii game is completely legal. While there may or may not be legal implications to playing the games or making modifications to your Wii system, you can safely copy your Wii game legally without any concerns. Of course, if you want to be certain, talk to an intellectual property attorney who is experienced in dealing with the laws as they relate to video games.

The Wii Fit is a truly interactive game that works along with a "balance board", a completely new controller that was developed especially for the Wii. The Wii Fit, then, is more than a simple game, but also works as an effective exercise regimen, suggesting fun and family friendly exercise programs that anyone can participate in, no matter how young or old.
The Wii Fit game provides a number of excellent benefits, making it a worthwhile acquisition not only for children and adults who are looking to lose a little bit of weight, but also anyone who is interested in leading a more active lifestyle. Console wars: Comparing the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii
Since the realease of Xbox 360 in early December 2005 the 'war' to be the best
next generation console has been raging. The Xbox 360 offered a new experience
of wireless controllers, big storage and advanced graphics, compared to anything
else out at the time. The most appealing part of the Xbox 360 was it's online
play. The 360's older brother blew Playstation 2 net play out of the water with
it's Xbox Live. The 360 aimed to carry on their dominance over the online gaming
world. The Xbox 360 launched with titles like Call of Duty 2 and Perfect Dark
Zero which both targeted single player and online play. I believe that this

combination is what makes the Xbox 360 the console of choice.
One year later the Nintendo Wii blasted into stores and bought a new revolution
to gaming. The new motion gameplay appealed to many people, even non-gamers.
Resulted in it selling more gaming systems than Xbox 360. Although the Wii gave
us new, redesigned gameplay it lacked the titles that Xbox 360 had. The Wii
launched with Legend of Zelda and Redsteel. These games may have been successful
but the Wii failed to release enough titles that continue with these successes.
Instead Nintendo rely on pre-established titles, like Mario and Zelda. Nintendo need to come up with more innovative and new titles to release onto their consoles. Microsoft launched the incredibly successful Halo series and Playstation have their new title Resistance: Fall of Man. Bringing out new games will aid the Wii in keeping up with the other giants in the fight to become top gaming console.
The newly released Playstation 3 is perhaps the top contender to challenge the Xbox 360 for top spot. Although it is the most expensive console out of the three at 425. But looking at it's components we can see why. The Playstation 3 offers us extreme High Definition gaming with it's Blu-ray drive, a new way to view High Definition pictures and video. Also the Playstation 3 has a 60 gigabyte hard drive, three times more than the Xbox 360. It is also unleashing many new titles to help it move above the 360. Resistance: Fall of Man and Motorstorm were amongst the first games to be released for Playstation 3. As well as this the PS3 also came with a light controller that contained a motion censor, just like the Wii. It is easy to see that Playstation is trying to knock out all competition.
After playing on all three consoles I have come to some conclusions about each. First the Nintendo Wii. I
Im planning to backup my saved games and my channels from my wii to an SD card. Then im gonna format my wii and then im gonna restore the data. Is this possible? Wil it work? Will the updates be erased too? Cause I want the updates to be eliminated to be able to use gamecube Action Replay on my Wii. Update 3.0U disabled it, and I want to use it.
How do you get points on a Wii to buy other old Nintendo Games?
StayGold asked:
I don't currently own a Wii. I was curious though about how you obtain these so called points to get the old Nintendo Games. Also, is internet free on a Wii?
Do you have to pay for the internet monthly or what? If so, how much?
