Can I connect my xbox 360 to my computer and access xbox live?

My computer connects wireless-ly to the router that is upstairs in my house, and I am downstairs. So my question is, can i connect the ethernet cable from my xbox 360 to my computer, and access xbox live? If so, can you tell me what I have to do on my computer to set it to do so?

yes, use a wireless adapter to hook your xbox up to live. then there should be a seperate cable which you then plug the xbox to the computer.
nope. you either have to get a wireless adapter. or run a ethernet through your house. thats what i had to do. my ethernet it 100 ft and it goes all the way through my houseeee!
yes… i think just plug it in and it connects automatically, the connection will be very bad, but you will have it
you have to get an email and connect it to that.
no cuz u have to buy a card at gamestop or where a game store is and they will give you a card of some sort hope this helps
Yes, that is what I did. First, you have to connect the Ethernet cable from the back of the xbox into the computer, then go to manage networks from the control panel in network connections, right click the Ethernet network connection and go to advanced then click the box that says sharing is allowed, and you are all ready, make sure the firewall is off though. first off u MUST have high speed internet
then the ways u can hook up your Xbox 360 to xbox live is by connecting right up to a modem.
Or get a wireless adapter from a store(Walmart or Gamestop) costs about 100 then connect that to the back of your Xbox 360 then u have to have a modem somewhere in your house and it has to be connected to a router. then get on your Xbox 360 and go to settings and setup an internet connection it should be done from there if you need help setting up a wireless internet connection go to Youtube and search “how to setup xbox live with an wireless adapter ”
