Video game reviews: Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)

A lot of people have wii's as of late. 30 million to be precise. This is mostly due to the range of audiences it appeals to. This then means there are a lot of new gamers out there. The wii is possibly their first console. With Smash Bros we have a game that could appeal to many people but only the more hardcore gamer will buy it as they know what it can offer. For those of you who are new to gaming I strongly suggest buying this game....here's why:
Graphics - This game may not be as graphically good as games on the PS3 and Xbox but that doesn't matter. It has had to so much care and attention on that you are left with a graphically beautiful game that will not disappoint. It stretches the capabilities of the wii to the max. After you watch the opening video you will be hooked.
Game play - This is where this game stands tall over any other fighting game. You control your character on a set level. You can perform a set of individual attacks for each character, of which there are 35. There are also many levels all of which have special features. This includes levels that move or change season.
Life - You will be playing this game till the next generation. I have been playing the game cube version of this game for 6 years and only gave it up to play this new game! There are plenty of side missions and events. The one player mode itself can take a good few hours.
Music - an original score by some of the gods of video game music will not disappoint. There are around 4 tracks for each level. Many classics have been remixed such as old sonic and Mario songs.
As I have said there are many characters, some you will know and some you won't. Mario, Sonic, Solid snake, Link and Yoshi are but a few. New for this game is the smash move. This is a special move that is basically insane and will kill your foes rather easily.
Also included are a wide range of items for you to use during gameplay. These can give you your health back or they can be used to fight your enemy. New to this game are assist trophies. These appear on the screen in the form of capsules. As soon as you pick it up an character will be released from the capsule and will temporarily help you to fight. Nintendo have included some fan favorites in these assist trophies. Also included are new ranges of pokemon that will help you at random times.
This game is Nintendo at their best. There is so much that will happen and so many variations of play that I do not want to spoil. For 25 this game is a bargain. There are no fighting games out there on any console better than this game. If you have a wii...buy this game.
Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 19
I think the Wii is better then the Playstation 3 because you have more exercise playing the Wii then the Playstation 3 and every other system. So for the people who don't like going outside and getting exercise and plying video games the whole day can play the Wii and get exercise. The Nintendo Wii only costs $249.99 and the Playstation 3 costs are $499.99 and $599.99. So you get more exercise and a lower price if you buy the Wii. At first my parents didn't want to get me the Wii but when they saw it they bought it and they started playing all the time. They liked it because it gave them exercise and kept them in good shape. For everyone who likes playing video games and doesn't want to go outside if you play the Wii you are playing video games but at the same time it feels like you are playing outside.
Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 14
A not so technical look at the Wii
I personally am not a tech person. I can tell by looking at the Play Station 3 that the graphics are amazing, but that is not all I look for in a video game. The Wii is a wonderful creation, in that a good number of the games have brought physical activity into the mix.
I am the mother of an eight year old boy who has a Play Station 2, a Game Boy Advanced, and a Wii. There are only about 2 games that he likes to play on the Play Station 2, and no games that he plays on the Game Boy Advanced. However, he plays a wide variety of games on the Wii. I think he enjoys the more interactive style of the Wii.
Sitting stationary for too long does not work for our son. He has no problem staying focused, as long as he has some stimulation, and the Wii definitely provides that for him. As a matter of fact many of our family members, of all ages enjoy playing the Wii. Our son is constantly challenging his grandmother to a game of bowling, my husband and his brother love to hunt, and I love to box. Al thought I do need a shower from all the sweating I do playing the boxing game on the Wii. I once read an interview of a Victoria's Secrets model, who said that she stayed in shape by going to a boxing gym. I wonder if the Wii boxing can get me into shape like that?
When the Wii, and the Play Station 3 first came out, my husband wanted the Play Station 3, but they were both hard to find. After our son had played the Wii at his friend's house, I explained the game to my husband, which peaked his interest. One day, we were at a large chain store, and they had just received a shipment of Wii consoles. After a short discussion, mostly our son and I begging, we decided to buy one. The $250 price tag, compared $600 for the Play Station 3, didn't hurt either. As far as toys and games go, I think the Wii is one of the best investments we have made for family entertainment.
Ideas to make video games better for your health
When considering what is good for your health, you must keep in mind two major aspects: physical and mental health. Today, the percentage of people in the world who are out of shape is growing at an astronomical rate in some nations, namely the States, the majority of the adult population is overweight. This is largely due to the habits that have been forced upon us by modern culture over eating, lack of exercise, and general laziness. In fact, some people who are called "video game junkies" can be some of the unhealthiest of the bunch simply because of the amount of time they spend sprawled out on a comfortable sofa or chair blasting away opponents in on line shooting games. However, this can change.
With the invention of the Wii, video games have already become a little healthier for the population. Well, at least for physical health. We now have access to games such as Wii Fitness, Wii Tennis, Wii Bowling, Wii Boxing, and many other games that incorporate a high level of jumping, swinging, and exercise in order for the player to win the game. Yes, I one time played Wii Tennis at my good friend's house for about four and a half hours straight, and I'll admit I worked up a bit of a sweat. Consider this: for about every twelve hours that someone plays table tennis, they will lose one pound. As you become more active in even the smallest ways, such as playing a Nintendo Wii, then those hours can really add up.
Yet, there still are a few flaws with this. Sometimes, Wii Tennis doesn't require the player to even assume a tennis stance someone who isn't really intense about the game can get away with simply flicking their wrist to score a point. This is largely due to the accurate sensor of the Wii remote it can pick up the smallest movements. While I applaud Nintendo's skill in making such a handy little device and gaming controller, if the sensors were a little less "sensitive," or required the player to actually swing harder and put more effort into the game, then I would give them a standing ovation. This would make players even more active, and definitely help to eliminate laziness, especially in a society in which video games are becoming increasingly popular.
However, to be healthy, one must also be healthy in the mind. Some games simply aren't challenging enough for the average human being. Yes, even though Dead or Alive has had a successful run, much of the game is the simple mashing of buttons that don't involve any real thinking whatsoever. Though it is argued tat there is some degree of skill involved, it is simple clicking and tapping that will eventually, with the right character stats and repetitive, fast-paced finger pushing, might result in a random victory.
Games need to be challenging and complicated to stimulate the mind. Puzzle games are a good example of this being done well, and the Nintendo DS has had a few games that are designed to strengthen the mind. Role-Playing Games need to become even more challenging than they already are how about having some sort of formula for potions, not simple point and click? Why not let players experiment with different potions and ingredients to figure out a mixture for themselves?
In conclusions, the more that a game will utilize your body's energy and stimulate the mind, the better it is for your health. Games need to become challenging for the mind and body, even if it means tapping down the sensitivity of the Wii Remote.

Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 12
Which video game console is better Playstation 3 or Wii?
The Playstation 3 which is alo known as the PS 3 in short, is the best video game console released so far by Sony. It is the third console released by the Sony Computer Entertainment. It is a very special console for gaming which does stand out a lot when compared to many of todays consoles and also from it's predecessors.
It has many features that are usually not present in a gaming console. One of the most special things that was introduced to the Playstation 3 when compared to the other consoles released by Sony Computer Entertainment, was the Online Gaming system. Or rather also known as Playstation Network.
It is now independent from game developers when it comes to online game play. This was not the fact before as, Sony Computer Entertainment had a policy which made it dependent on game developers, for online gameplay.
The video game console, Playstation 3 was first released on November 11, 2006 in Japan. There were many different models of the Playstation 3 released all over the world. For instance, there were models with different storage space and there were models with different colours too. There were models of the Playstation 3 released with 20GB storage space, 40GB storage space, 60GB storage space, and 80GB storage space. The most recent releases have a 160GB storage space model too. That's a lot of storage space for a gaming console.
It's incredible the features, this sony's gaming console has got. It has Wi-Fi, Ethernet connectivity, Wireless Controllers, USB Ports, Blu-ray disc reader, DVD, and a whole lot of other really cool features.
The Playstation 3 is like it's predecessors when it comes to game titles. There is a very huge selection of really awesome games. One of the best games I have personally tried out is the game "Metal Gear Solid 4: No Place to Hide". That is a title everybody must play to understand the levels of realism attained with the Playstation 3 gaming console. The Playstation 3 console has in every way kept Sony's legacy of producing quality gaming consoles.
If we now take a look at the gaming console released by Nintendo, "Wii". Yes, that's the name, a strange one but innovative. Well, it is pronounced as the english word "we". This console has the advantage of covering a wider range of consumers. Really young kids as well as older people can easily find titles for the "Wii".
But something that cannot go unmentioned is that it does not a lot of features, the Playstation 3 gaming console has got. But here comes in another advantage that the Wii system has got. It has different controllers for different titles. There is one snowboarding game I played it was fun playing it with the "Wii Balance Board". The "Wii Balance Board" detects the the body movements and converts it into commands in the game. It's cool.
There is a very important feature that doesn't give any hope of winning to any console compared to Sony's Playstation 3. The graphics, yes, it is very important for many gamers. I find that no gaming console can match the eye-popping graphics of the Playstation 3 gaming console. It makes the characters in the games look very realistic.
So, as for a final opinion I feel the Playstation 3 gaming console is not only better than the Nintendo Wii system but actually better than all the other consoles released as seventh generation consoles.
Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 25
Overall i think the Nintendo Wii is better then the Playstation 3, mainly because of the innovation and originality involved. The Nintendo consoles f late have been seen generally geared towards younger players, whereas the playstations have been seen as aimed towards older teenagers due to more graphic and adult games, as well as darker color schemes that lent better towards dramatic and more mature games. The Nintendo consoles have been generally had more brightly colored graphics, which of course encouraged more childish and younger aimed games.
The Wii again has aimed more for this market, where the playstation has again aimed for more mature audiences.
This would normally have made the playstation better because of better graphics and a greater range of titles available, however the Wii is much more innovative as it encourages group play better, as well as making people be more active whilst playing the games. With the obesity epidemic these days, (which is often blamed on children playing video games too much and not getting enough exercise) the Wii seems to have the answer, rather than stopping children doing what they enjoy, it blends activity with gameplay.
Also the Wii has dared to take a risk by trying something different rather than in-keeping with the usual formula with familiar controllers, inactive gameplay, and relying on familiar titles to achieve sales.
This is why the Wii has the edge over the playstation 3 in my opinion, as well as the fact that it is less than half the price of the best PS3.

Video games and gaming tips for beginners
Gaming is a hobby that nearly everyone can enjoy. There are countless games available so no matter what your interests may be, you're sure to find a gaming nook that's right up your alley. Some people find their escape in role playing games (RPGs) where you often embark on an epic quest building the statistics of your character in order to advance. Other people are more head on and divulge in first-person shooters (FPSs). In games such as this the screen appears to you as if it were actually you walking through the scenarios completing whatever missions the game may throw your way. There are a multitude of other genres available, too. Some of these include racing, strategy, fighting, and the list goes on. One of the most inexpensive ways to find your niche in the video game world is simply by renting. Many rental stores not only allow you to rent video games, but consoles as well.

The tree main consoles of choice are the Nintendo Wii, the Xbox 360, and the Sony Playstation 3 (PS3). Many of us perceive the Xbox 360 and the PS3 as "powerhouses." Simply meaning that these two have more capacity for sharper visuals. Their graphics tend to be at a higher quality than the Nintendo Wii. Let's not totally destroy our hope for the Wii yet though. Although the Nintendo Wii can't play movies and seems to be a bit lacking in the graphics department the controller is like nothing you've ever seen. Not only does the Wii remote have a built-in speaker but can also control your game with motion sensitivity. This creates a feeling of actually "being in the game." Then, of course, those of you who find your gaming comfort in retro games there's the Super Nintendo (SNES) and the Sega Genesis. These two aren't exactly up to par with the technology of today, but they are most definitely classics.
Now that you have the console of your choice and having found what genres best suit you, it's time to throw-down. Pop in one of those new video games and get going. One last piece of advice to you new gamers; practice. Like anything else, if you're ever going to master gaming, you've got to keep your abilities sharp. Remember, the whole idea of gaming should be to relax and let go. If you get stumped by a pesky puzzle or just can't beat that one race, hang in there, you'll make it. Finally, make sure you have your favorite snacks and beverages nearby, this is your time to lounge. After all, this is what the beauty of gaming is all about.
Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 6
Wii all the way. For a start, take a look at the price difference. You could feasibly get an Xbox 360 and a Wii for the price of one PS3. Now let's look at the games. Good PS3 games? Resistance. That's it. Good Wii games? Wii Sports, Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime, Mario & Sonic, Mario Galaxy, Wii Fit,and many more.
Now let's take a look at the way the systems interact with the players. The PS3 has a controller based on the PS1 controller which was released in 1994, and Sony still think it can hold up today? It doesn't even have rumble. I would say that the one decent thing about the PS3 controller is the motion detecting but that is cheap, clunky, and to be honest pathetic. The Wii pretty much destroys every controller ever made. For a start, let's look at the basic Wii remote, none of the attachments, just the remote. It not only has tilt controls far more advanced that the PS3, but it also has Pointer technology, rumble, and a fantastic port at the bottom of it that can be used for pretty much anything developers can dream up. With this controller we can play incredibly immersive games, and also use the Wii's in built channel system to download games, browse the net (including full Myspace and Youtube compatibility), edit images, check todays news and weather forecasts and more. That's just with the core controller. So what about the extension socket I mentioned earlier? Well firstly, some people might say the remote is too simple for complex FPS shooters and adventures games, but with the Nunchuck extension, that theory is obliterated, with Metroid Prime 3 being described by IGN (the internet's most respected video game reviewers) as "the best controlled console FPS ever".
For people not yet converted to the Wii's simple yet advanced control method, there is also the Classic Controller, which is perfectly designed and brilliant for playing Gamecube games and downloadable games. Then there's the lightgun, turning your TV screen into an arcade shooter machine, and the Wii Fit board. The board is currently only being used for an ingenius workout game, where one weighs themselves, does pressups, does basic balance exercises and yoga stretches on the board, but in the future it could also be used for dancemat games, skateboarding and snowboarding games, and other things we can't even imagine.
I've spent all this time discussing just the controls, without even touching on the Wii's ability to appeal to hardcore gamers, young children, old people, and basically, everybody. Whether you've had every console ever made or have never played a video game, either way you can enjoy the Wii, and with fast internet browsing that matches most high end PCs, for only 180 how can you say no? i also didn't mention the Wii's built in wireless abilities, which are just as effective as the Xbox 360's, except for the latter you are expected to pay 100 dollars for an external transmitter.
Wow I could keep typing all night but I won't bore you with that, basically Nintendo Wii is a fantasic console that has something for everyone, for a small price, while PS3 has a pathetic array of games, for a ridiculously high price. If you can afford both, go for it, but if not, it's Wii all the way.

Video game reviews: Rockstar Table Tennis (Wii) – Part 1
Wii play's table tennis takes a very simple concept and makes it as complex as possible. Firstly, it features 3 modes of control: control freak mode, sharp shooter mode, and standard mode. to top this off, two these game play modes involve using the wii nunchuk. In control freak mode you use the basic wii remote to control your shot and reserve the nunchuk for positioning your character so that they are set up to perfectly hit the ball. In contrary to this, sharpshooter mode allows you to adjust the top spin and backspin on your shot using the nunchuk while you swing via the wii remote. Finally in standard mode your character moves toward the ball on its own leaving you to use the wii remote to time your swing right. Despite all these features, it is extremely difficult to make a table tennis video game exciting and this was no exception. The graphics were bland and unrealistic which however, in the games defense, is not exactly a major focus in a video game where you watch a ball bounce around on a table. There were a few unlockable tables and players hidden throughout the game in attempt to mask its blandness, but even this failed to make the game seem like it has an actual purpose. In my opinion, this game is a waste of 30 dollars.

FOREWARD
The corporate media harbors hundreds of CIA propagandists and fawning loyalists who find revelations concerning domestic political assassinations inconvenient and stroll by with little comment. The agency and organized crime have, for over thirty years, engaged in a program to silence popular musicians whose influence subverts the cynical thought control tactics of American government and media.
This book is an attempt to return that evidence to the historical record.
PRELUDE..
Assassination Politics of the Vietnam War period.
Former CIA Richard Ober, director of OPERATION CHAOS...
the most expansive domestic surveillance and covert ops net-work in America’s history. The intelligence sectors response to the anti-war and civil rights movements, ran covert assassinations programs as well.
The Nixon administration rose on a foundation of political murder.
The C.I.A. had assembled a thick concordia of lethal methods.
The project began with an anonymous , undated memo on assassination by "natural cause." Knock off key people the heavily censored document specified, " how to knock off key guys, natural causes, a declassified memo..
1 Bodies left with no hope if the cause of death being determined by the most complete autopsy and chemical examinations,
2 Bodies left in such circumstances as to simulate accidental death
3 Bodies left in such circumstances as to simulate accidental suicide
4 Bodies left with residue that simulate those caused by natural diseases.
April 2, 1977 Washington Post reported that the agency had experimented in exotic poisons.
CHAPTER 1
In 1967 a subversive form of music melded with politics in San Francisco.
Thus, destabilization tactics were summarized in a leaked memo, excerpt:
"show them as depraved” call attention to their habits, and every possible embarrassment.
Send articles to the newspaper showing their depravity.
Use misinformation to confuse and corrupt.
Provoke target groups into rivalries that might result in death."
For the first time since it's creation the warfare state erected by the Dulles brothers, Hoover, MacArthur, Kissinger, Nixon, etc. was threatened by an increasingly militant segment of society.
The FBI rose to the challenge.
On July 30, 1994, Intelligence files on Leonard Bernstein reveal the bureau spent countless hours examining his links with associations deemed communist to subversive.
FBI agent Jane Moore said the FBI saw the strength and power of the idea of socialism, realized it represented a very real danger to our profit-motivated corporate state and had declared total covert war against not only the denim clad revolutionaries but all progressive forces
The bureaus tactic was to cut them down or burn them out before they realized their potential.
At the federal level, the CIA. was already pursuing similar objectives under code name Operation Chaos.
Targets of Chaos
Blank Panther Movement (Geronimo Pratt, jailed for 27 yrs. for murders he did not commit. He was also a target of COINTELPRO, the FBI "counter-surveillance program)
Politically active hippies were also targets.
Many underground papers were put out of business when they were abandoned by advertisers who had been pressured by the FBI.
From 1967 to 1972 the operation compiled 13,000 files, which concerned 300,000 individuals and organizations.
The CIA directorate of operations created an index of 7 million names.
CHAPTER 2
THE MACHINE CIA AND MOB INFLUENCES ON THE ROCK INDUSTRY....
The mafia was to be enlisted for the covert war against the counter-culture. In the mid-60's CHAOS officials and the mob both eyed the rise of political rock music. The CIA saw them as long haired communists screaming for revolution and the end to the Vietnam War. The mafia wanted more constrictive financial control over the recording industry. Top 40, the reigning broadcast format in America owes its very existence to the CIA and mafia combo. Drugs would enter the equation, plus youth and LSD with the politics of heroin and LSD drugs were only one contribution the agency has made to the American culture.
The National Security Council was patterned after Hitler’s security council , and its jurisdiction was to oversee the CIA by dictate of the NSA of 1947.
CHAPTER 3
PARAPOLITICAL STARS IN THE DOPE SHOW
Books were burned, book stores closed down, offices and social centers were broken into, artists, writers, musicians and countless hippies got dragged into court., to answer trumped up charges of corruption, obscenity, drug-abuse, and anything that might silence their voices. LSD appeared on the streets, as if on cue to destroy student descent. More potent drugs used in federally sponsored behavior modification studies (translates mind-control) also found their way to society at large. STP created by Dow-Chemical Co. in 1964 was considered incapacitating agent by the CIA Emergency wards was choked in San Francisco with freaking bohemians. PCP an animal tranquilizer, also fed to the hippies by the CIA. The Mob opened mass production labs and a meticulously organized network of traffickers to move black market drugs..
A CIA agent who claims to have infiltrated the covert LSD network, provided a clue when he referred to Height-Asbury as a human guinea pig farm. A dozen years earlier in the same city , George Hunter White and his CIA colleagues had set up a "safe house" and began testing hallucinogenic drugs on unwitting citizens. Now suddenly there was a neighborhood packed with young people who were ready and willing to gobble experimental chemicals. Charles Manson and Timothy Leary arrived in San Francisco and each had a keen interest in mind-control.
Dulles mentioned in his memo that the agency was testing drugs on groups of people. CIA personnel mingled with the drug dealers.. Monitoring stations were set up, among them was Louis J West, Jack Ruby’s shrink, West oversaw Dr Jose Delgado, author of Physical Control of the Mind and Ross Addey, a veteran of operation Paperclip (Nazi's entry into CIA and NASA and else where), Dr. Margaret Singer of the CIA created False Memory Syndrome. All participated in the study of LSD as a politically destabilizing weapon. One CIA memo named the drug as a potential new agent for unconscious warfare. In 1967 as CHAOS was launched by CIA White House. Timothy Leary, tossed out of the army for erratic behavior, left experimenting with LSD on prisoners in N.Y. for the CIA, and donned the robes of the designated LSD media prelate. He later admitted to knowing at the time that some powerful people in Washington have sponsored this drug research. Leary was constantly surrounded by ops of intelligent agents.
CHAPTER 4
The death of Cass Elliot (of the Mamas and the Papas)and other restless youth
According to Mae Brussell, researcher, in 1968 orders went out to proceed to neutralize segments of society. including those restless youth. By 1969 the SSS (Special Services Section of the FBI), combined with the Justice department and with the CIA operation Chaos.
Thus. Manson Murders, etc. Manson joined the Process church, a Satanist church , who also worshipped Lucifer and Jehovah. It was (is) big in Hollywood at the time. (Manson clearly a mind-controlled dupe).
One FBI report on Cass Elliot marked urgent states she attended a fund raiser in Hollywood , for Peace and Justice. Cass had political ambitions and wanted to be a senator, maybe, in 20 yrs or so. An underground paper called The Realist suggested Cass was the target of political foul play. The editor Paul Krassner said, "I believe she might have been killed. She knew a lot about the incredible criminal links between Hollywood and Washington and Las Vegas.
CHAPTER 5
THE MURDER IN THE HOUSE OF POOH BRIAN JONES OF THE ROLLING STONES.
The fusion of music and politics made the stones an enemy of the state. There were infiltrators and drug set-ups and busts thus, Jagger said " This is a protest against the system, war stems from power-mad politicians and patriots, we must end all these mindless men from seats of power, and replace them with real people, people of compassion.” The stones were stalked harassed and getting paranoid.
An odd construction crew came to restore the house of Brian Jones, the former cottage of AA Milne, author of Pooh books. They muscled their way into his private life, and had a weird hold over Brian. One worker, Thorogood, made a death bed confession, that he had drowned Wilson The tell-tale signs of cover-up by authorities are unmistakable. He was off drugs at the time. his death was not caused by a life of abuse as was claimed, he was murdered.
CHAPTER 6
THE END OF ROCK FESTIVALS
Five Months later, a music festival happened near San Francisco, and became murderous. The band would be forever tainted by the surreal violence..
Editor of Rolling Stone, Jan Wenner, put the Rolling Stones Band in touch with Melvin Belli, attorney of California well-heeled conservative base, whose eulogy at his funeral was, "a man of law against the CHAOS of life, a man of CHAOS against the law of life." He was one of CIA's most trusted court room wonders. Belli chose the Altamount for the Stones concert. It had all the charm of a grave yard, and not fit to draw 300,000 people.! Ralph Sonny Barger of the Hells Angels was hired to keep the peace, (an informant hit-man, who was hired by feds to kill labor activist Cesar Chavez, but was arrested instead on an old charge.) Hells Angels are represented in 18 countries now, largest crime family export. Who in 1969 suspected the Hells Angels was a death squad in employ of the political agencies? (a refreshing break from the status quo?)
At the Stone’s concert the Hells Angels beat up on the youth to excited to see Jagger and Leary arrive, an 18 year old girl was stabbed to death for allegedly having a gun, by the Hells Angels. There ended up 3 dead and many wounded..
A CANCER WAS PLANTED AND GROWING IN THE COUNTER-CULTURE
CHAPTER 7
JIMI HENDRIX POLITICAL HARASSMENT AND MURDER.
He didn't die from a drug overdose, he was not an out of control dope fiend. He was not a junkie.
FBI COUNTELPRO was out to do more than prevent a communist menace, from overtaking the U.S.! (or to control black power movement). It was out to obliterate its opposition and ruin the representatives of the people involved in the anti-war movement, Civil Rights Movement, and the rock revolution.
Hendrix manager, Mike Jeffery, by his own admission was an intelligence agent. He frequently boasted he had powerful underworld connections. There were many mafia managed "acts". The CIA/Mafia connection had exercised considerable influence in the music industry for decades. Hendrix wanted out of the contract. He felt he was under surveillance and felt more and more unsafe in New York, his former safe haven. His manager, thus, might have created a Toronto arrest, to silence Jimi. He preferred him to be isolated. He had always been a trusting and open person before, and now he didn't know who to trust.
He was getting 10 grand for a 50 grand concert. Hendrix friends said Jeffrey’s would get more money from a dead Hendrix than a living one. There was also a possible million dollar insurance policy in Jeffrey’s name.
Was Hendrix murdered? The official cause of death was asphyxiation caused by vomit? The pathologist report left the cause of death open. Monica Danneman (investigator), had long insisted Hendrix was murdered. At the time of her own death, she had brought media attention to the case in a letter and highly publicized court battle. Monica's body was found in a fume-filled car near her home, in south England. It was called a suicide.
She had a lot of death threats, and people who knew her said "she didn't believe in the concept of suicide"
CHAPTER 8
Death of Jim Morrison, lead singer of the doors.
Two years after the death of Brian Jones, Jim Morrison's body was found in a bath-tub in his flat in Paris. Death was attributed to natural causes, possibly heart failure. Morrison’s political outbursts attracted the FBI. He had said, " I like the idea about the breaking away or over-throw of the established order." In another interview Manzerek (of the Doors) considered possible motives for the elimination of the Anarchistic Lizard King " they were going to stop all rock and roll by stopping the Doors. He was considered the most dangerous because he was saying . “We want the world and we want it NOW.”
FBI harassment rendered Morrison so anxiety ridden that he had an ulcer by mid-twenties. Paranoia struck deep and it was thought he was a marked man. Bob Seymore wrote a book re: Jim called The End and conceded" you could say the CIA and the other intelligence agencies may have had a hand in the deaths of Hendrix, Joplin and Morrison etc., simply because they were the leaders of the generation of the 60's.
A book " The Bank of America in Louisiana" appeared in 1975, after his death, supposedly written by Morrison. Some say he survived Paris and lived a life free from celebrity and the FBI. A James Douglas Morrison, claimed to be operating as an intelligence agent for a number of groups including the CIA and Interpol, and also had connections with various occult groups. This JM2 also claims to be the dead rock star. There are stacks of official looking document, and letters between the agencies, CNN, NBC, and JM2. This claim was made by researcher Thomas Lyttle who claims to have seen what looks like authentic documents. There seems to be hundreds if not thousands of miscellaneous files under the name. No autopsy was performed after his death, a probable violation of French law. Pamela Courson, who was with him at the time, died later of an overdose that some said was a "Hot Shot" or poisoned opiate.
CHAPTER 9
JOAN BAEZ PHIL OCHS
Joan Baez survived the chaos backlash, she fully understood that political assassination could be her reward for openly castigating military-industrial masters of war. Her close friend Martin Luther King Jr., the worlds most honored civil rights leader told her and a group of activists before delivering his famed speech how the police had dumped him in the hole and it was black and he couldn’t see. They shoved food in the room but he wouldn’t eat it for fear it was poisoned starving and afraid he got on his knees and prayed and when he got up he said it didn’t matter anymore.
Kings entourage hid their pain when they knew what he meant. We knew he was going to die, and he was ready to die, and he was ready to make a commitment to Vietnam etc. He said, “I have been to the mountaintop and I have seen the Promised Land and it doesn’t matter anymore.”
Joan Baez wrote a memoir, And a Voice to Sing With, (1987) of her childhood and her father as a bright young Stanford scientist "Albert Baez recognized the danger of the unleashed atom even in the early days" He took a job at Cornell University in Ithica, New York (Cornell is the base of CIA Mind Control experiments and Joan is a survivor of ritual abuse and mind control experimentation, according to letters she has written to researchers and other survivors), a common cover for trauma-based-mind-control programming. She has a song about it
”I am paying for protection, Smoking out the truth...chasing recollections...nailing down the roof”
Baez entertained no illusions about the CIA, and promoted State of Siege, film she saw as exposing the corrupt element of AID (Agency for International Development, overseas), which funded the teaching of techniques of torture tactics in Latin America. We solicited signatures against the use of torture. Torture was made more prevalent than it had been since the Middle Ages, thus the danger was its common use as government policy. The hands of the US government were far from clean.
Joan did years of intensive therapy to confront her inner demons ,fears, insomnia, panic attacks, phobias, anxieties, etc. Therapists kept Joan glued together, to get me to the next gig, she said.
Joan’s father was invited to become the head of Operations at Cornell, which would bring him in contact with CIA Human Ecology Foundation, (re: Academic Mind Control Studies) behind the fences of the Ivy League campuses across the country. Joan said it was classified. She was not buried by Chaos, but she lived under its intolerant eye and it could silence her. An example is a mistranslation in Japanese re her comments on Vietnam and Nagasaki. The interpreter was threatened and complied. A year later sale of her records were banned from all Army PXs and when she denounced the draft on the Smother‘s Brothers Hour, she was censored by CBS, her comments cut, and CBS cancelled the Brothers soon after. The same year her then David Harris was sentenced to three years for draft evasion.
Civil rights activists were falsely linked to Communist organizations. A common smear tactic.
JOAN BAEZ AND BOB DYLAN
MIMI FARINA AND RICHARD FARINA
In 1961 Joan Baez met Bob Dylan. Whose songs had such stark political flavor. Bob nearly died in 1966 after a motorcycle accident. Joan's brother-in-law Richard Farina did die a few months later in a motorcycle accident. It was suspicious and happened on his wife Mimi Farina birthday. He was on his way back from a promotional party for his book "Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up". Before his death he had been producing an album to be performed by Joan, but it got shelved.
Mimi Farina, sister of Joan, is an equally talented and politically active woman who sings in prisons and goes out hands on to the poor, last I heard, and I believe Joan’s heart is also with the poor folk (My Note)
After Dylan’s accident he went thru a political change . He dropped the broadside lyrics grating on the nerves of the establishment. Mark Edmundson wrote: He wasn't ruined by drugs. His work combines art and politics and the harshest truth about the world. He is a visionary skeptic ,he loves the promise of America and yet is disgusted by much of its reality.
His songs tell about the cane murder of black servant Hattie Carroll, the death of boxer Davie Moore, the unbroken chains of injustice. They go to the heart of the decades most recurring preoccupation ,that in a time of irreversible technical progress , moral civilization has pathetically faltered, that no matter how much international attention is focused on the macro-cosmic affairs, the plight of the individual must be considered.
Five years after the accident he wrote "George Jackson", a fiercely driven ballad about the Black Panther leader " "George Jackson" who was consiciously murdered by a prison guard.
PHIL OCHS ( THE OUT LAW AND HIS BRAIN) MIND CONTRO AND MPD
"U.S. agents were able to destroy any persons reputation by inducing hysteria or excessive emotional responses, temporary or permanent insanity, suggest or encourage suicide , erase memory , invent double or triple personalities, inside ones mind."
---quote by the late Mae Brussells Operation Chaos investigator etc.
Ochs was a close chum of Bob Dylan , and thought Bob was the greatest poet ever. Ochs ,Bob, and Farina set out on the Folk minstrels path in the village in the early 1960's. Together with others they dragged folk music away from the migration camps and union halls into direct confrontation with the Eisenhower’s looming military-industrial complex. Ochs denounced the American politics in the "Cops of the world". song
" and when we've butchered your sons boys, have a stick of gum boys, we own half the world...."OH CAN YOU SEE"? AND THE NAME OF OUR PROFITS IS DEMOCRACY.
He was the ultimate dissident song quote" the comic and the beauty queen are dancing on the stage .The raw recruits are lining up like coffins in a cage." "Oh we are fighting in a war we lost before the war began"
Not long before he died, one night after too many drinks, he drew down the CIA Director Wm. Colby, director of the murderous Phoenix Project in Vietnam. He claimed he put a contract out on his life for 100,000 dollars. "I told Colby he's got a half of year to live or get out of Vietnam or he is dead. They can kill me but he is dead" he said.( He as well was certain that Gloria Steinem, editor of Ms. magazine and famous feminist is a CIA agent) Ochs was founder of the Yippee party, sang with protesters, and appeared as a witness for the trail of the Chicago Seven. His lyrics were considered so inflammatory that he was banned from the air-waves. The FBI did not refrain form amassing a huge file on him, and the feeling that he was never alone unnerved him. He wrote " take everything I own, take the tap from my phone, and leave my life alone, My life alone! He was tarred as a communist and a threat to national security. His friends said Ochs was convinced he would be assassinated. He was driven to drink by the radio black-listing his music and the ongoing surveillance and harassments and his nerve gave out. He lived in a perpetual state of paranoia His vocal cords were crushed by thugs.
He developed a right wing pseudo personality called John Train who he wrote about
( Beth’s note: Who created John Train? Was he like his good friend Joan Baez, a mind-controlled MPD(DID), from abuse and experimentation? On the first day of summer ,1975," Phil Ochs "was murdered in the Chelsea Hotel by John Train, Ochs said in a taped interview. "for the good of societies public and "secret," he needed to be gotten rid of." He also made reference to his Pseudo personality in song fragments in an album never recorded re: "Phil Ochs checked into the Chelse a Hotel, there was blood on his clothes, Train Train Train, the outlaw and his brain. (my note: I have read accounts of cloning since the 50's. Lots of hi-tech knowledge kept secret, including in Jim Keith’s book "Secret and Suppressed").
Ochs actually now believed he was working for the CIA., writes biographer Marc Elliot.( Ochs also referred to N.Y. Cornell Hospital in mysterious lists) "Train hinted that if Ochs had been a commercial success "they"(CIA) would have killed his host personality.. " Colby and Co. would have been more than happy to put a slug thru his head at that point, "said Train, the alternate personality. Ochs committed suicide on April 9, 1976, by hanging. This was the same year of the book " the Control of Candy Jones" by Donald Bain., ( a study of CIA mind control experimentation, Candy was also an MPD, created personalities, who carried out covert assignments , a marionette with an inner Nazi personality. She worked without her knowledge as a CIA op. for 12 years. Her final post-hypnotic command was suicide, which was intervened by her husband, talk show host John Nebel. ( the book is out of print, I have a copy) It is very probable that "John Train" was programmed to kill Philip Ochs the host personality.
Another musician with repressed memory of child-hood trauma was Peter Townsend ("Who" guitarist). In 1999 it occurred to him that certain phrases from rock opera "TOMMY" were not fiction but his life. He filled in the blanks from his childhood amnesia.
CHAPTER 10
WHO KILLED THE KENNEDYS AND SAL MINEO (REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE)
Actor Sal Mineo was stabbed to death in a parking lot after signing on to play Sirhan Sirhan in an upcoming movie regarding JFK. (CIA assassination and post-hypnotic programming were the major themes of the movie.) Elliot Mintz talk show host for ABC, later Bob Dylan and the Lennon’s publicist was buried in research with Mineo, regarding JFK killing. They became convinced Sirhan was innocent. The movie production disagreed and Mineo pulled out of the picture. After he was killed the media revealed in his secret life of bi-sexuality, and the murder was taken as homophobia. Gay Bars were closing in fear, and Hollywood stars took refuge behind locked doors.
Michael Ruppert a former LAPD officer left the department to expose his CIA trained colleagues. He claims "Sirhan was hypno-programmed using hypnosis, drugs and torture by Rev. Jerry Owen and CIA Mind-Control Specialist Wm. Bryan at the stable where he worked months before the shooting. The LAPD concealed evidence implicating the CIA in shooting. The channels of the intelligence world swarmed with crooks and killers.
Conservative Evangelist Billy Graham was Presidents Nixon’s celebrated "spiritual advisor". Then there was LA's gangster corrupt public servant and wealthy gambling czar Mickey Cohen.(who "claimed "to be a friend of Sal Mineo) The former hit-man Cohen contacted the press after Mineos death t o boost that he was his pal. Cohen was also chummy with Nixon, and his entourage. In 1968, Cohen was coined the godfather of the West Coast Mafia gambling ops. When Cohen was close to death he opened up to investigative reporter Chuck Ashman, and he said, "Mickey Cohen told me the tale of his being paid off to fake a conversion and dose of Christianity for Billy Grahams N.Y. crusade. Two of Graham’s staff had passed more than 10,000 dollars to Mickey and his family." We found the dates and the amounts and even the checks" Cashmon said.
Cohen was the first bridge linking the killers of Robert Kennedy and Sal Mineo. He was on friendly terms with Carlos Marcellos, mob boss, who ran with David Ferrie, CIA corrupt ops., who was investigated by Jim Garrison in the connection of killing of JFK. Cohen was also a chum with Jack Ruby. Cohen was also a friend of Melvin Belli, Jack Ruby’s defense attorney. He also controlled the Santa Anita race-track where Sirhan was employed. Mickey Cohen’s circle of friends and his appearance in the limelight after the Mineo killing begs question on Hollywood power brokers. Sirhan and Cohen were close to Desi Arnez, (Producer) of I Love Lucy .Arnez was an anti Castro Cuban exile leader. In 1966 Sirhan wrote in his notebook that he landed a job at the stables Corona Breeding Farm co-owned by Desi Arnez, Buddy Ebsen, Dale Robertson, ultra conservatives, and TV personalities were well acquainted with Sirhan. Sirhan was known as a fervent anti-communist. Attorney, Russell Parsons, Sirhan's attorney, showed no effort to make known that Sirhan was in the wrong position to kill senator Kennedy, he was shot from behind and Sirhan stood in front of Kennedy.
CHAPTER 11
PROJECT WALRUS..JOHN LENNON..
Mark-David Chapman chose to plead not guilty due to following the direction of his voices.. His attorney J. .Marks, punctuated the plea "by reason of insanity". Chapman testified "I can hear their thoughts, I can hear them talking, but not from the outside, from the inside" Not one of the three psychiatrists at the trial explored the possibility of Mind-Control. In 1977 Chapman lost his fundamentalist religion and became a Satanist..
At 19, 1n 1975,Chapman signed onto the YMCA,(international camp counselor program) and was sent to Beirut where he allegedly received instructions in lethal arts at the CIA training camp school of terror. (there was a known "experiment in Mind Control unit" for the army in Lebanon.). In 1980 he surfaced in New York, and mailed a letter to an Italian address. The Dakota (residence of the Lennon’s) was given as a return address. There was a reference to his" mission " in N.Y.. It was returned to New York, the address not found in Italy, where it sat for three years in the dead letter bin, and finally delivered to the Dakota. Yoko Ono glanced at the letter and dropped it in her deranged file. In 1983, head of security, Mahoney, found the letter. This was evidence of premeditated murder and conspiracy. The letter vanished and reappeared slightly altered, the post-date now was 1981. The "mission" statement was missing...
Elliot Mintz, friend of Sal Mineo ,was instrumental in exposing "Project Walrus" as a conspiracy regarding Lennon. He had been Lennon’s chum too and publicist since 1971 Mintz recalls that some of Yoko body guards were at the time New York Police officers.. It is very difficult for a private citizen to legally possess a weapon in New York. The people who can are off duty officers. It is thus, a common celebrity arrangement. There were many files with missing contents at Yoko's apt. after Lennon was killed. Listening devices were planted at the Dakota and once swept clean would reappear. There had been numerous attempts on Yoko's life. One man was arrested at airport who had made a call that he was coming to finish the job and kill Yoko and Sean. There were also calls made to tell her body guards were going to kill her. Sean Lennon said, "I grew up afraid my mother and I were going to be killed".
After John's murder the first promoting of Project Walrus was the ruining of his reputation. John had known he was wire-tapped and was paranoid. After Watergate he filed a lawsuit for wiretap and surveillance and made some progress. Justice Dept. never would admit it actually carried out the wiretap and blamed it on other possibilities. After he got his green card he gave up the litigation. Lennon overcame his fear of federal harassment and gave public statements that were anti-republican.
Killing Lennon was only the first step. All that he signified must be defaced. That was the principle objective of Walrus. His diaries were stolen and returned later with extra entries and some entries altered. Fred Seaman wrote a defamatory book on Lennon. Seaman was to be executive of Lennon’s archives, and much was feigned regarding their bond. He told friends he was going to discredit Ono at all costs. The goal was to drive her to a nervous breakdown and discredit her attempt to set straight the public record. The walrus crew anticipated immense profits. Dead Lennon’s money’s The events at the Dakota began to sound like the Movie "Gaslight"..( in which a husband tries to drive his wife crazy by reality distortion) Yoko began sleeping badly. One of Yoko’s assistants, wracked by stress began packing a gun at all times. He said " you do not know how big this is. The people doing this are too big to fight." To discredit Lennon and Yoko and the Peace movement was a major part of Operation Walrus. (but it didn't and IT WILL NOT)
CHAPTER 12
WHAT CHA GONNA DO?..THE DEATHS OF MARLEY AND TOSH.
Quote: “Vampires do not come out to bite your neck anymore, instead they cause something destructive to happen that will spill blood., and those invisible vampires will get their meal " Peter Tosh.
Peter Tosh , like Marley was a widely influential civil rights agitator, and like other black activists before him he was gunned down. He died in 1987 at age 43. He was upset with the treatment of his people. Tosh went to Trench Town to live with an uncle after the aunt he was living with died. It was there he met the young Bob Marley, and taught him to play guitar. They got together with Bunny Wailer and the trio called themselves the Wailin Wailers. They were drastically underpaid. Record producers are notorious for pocketing money. (dem pirates and dem thieves). Peter Tosh always let his feelings be known. He cared more about principles and morals than popularity and fame. He said "they know I do not support POLITRICKS and games, my duty is to unify the people." He and Marlew had some wrangling and he left the group, and went on his own. Destabalsation tactics were employed, and political violence and sabotage etc. from the CIA with pernicious attempts to wreck the economy of their country.. The new weapon and the new menace was destabilization..
Bob Marley held onto the Wailer name and took on new members. The peoples National Party asked them to play at Smile Jamaica concert. He agreed.
In Nov. a death squad came to Marley’s home and started shooting. They shot bullets into his manager, and one in his wife’s’ Rita's head , as she tried to get their 5 children out of the house. They survived. The last bullet creased Marley’s breast below his heart and drilled deep into his arm. Marley would sing "Ambush in the night, all guns aiming at me." This did not stop them performing at the Smile Jamaica concert.. ("War") "Until the ignoble and unhappy regimes that now hold our brothers, in Angola, in Mozambique, in subhuman bondage, have been toppled utterly destroyed...everywhere is war......
Carl Colby , son of CIA head Wm. Colby, came to the concert and posed as crew and got back stage where he gave a gift to Marley, a pair of boots. Former black Panther Lee Lew-Lee was close to Marley and he thinks Marley’s cancer started with the boots He claims there was a link of copper wire attached to the boots, which hurt his foot when he tried them on and had to be removed..(it might have been treated chemically with a carcinogenic toxin. Marley later broke his toe and found out it was cancerous, it spread. He did not trust main-stream medicine and continued to perform. He knew by 1977 he was dying and compressed a lifetime of music into a few years
Something of a Caribbean CIA POGROM was underway via Kissinger and Co. There was emphasis on psychological Ops. which became arson, banking assassination disruption of the now Manley's democratic socialist rule. Political violence was stoked and arsenal of weapons supplied. This was all mostly financed by Hard Drugs, which disrupted the Rasta movement and marijuana. They wanted it legalized. Their chosen weapon in the Rasta Movement was free expression and they were crucified for it. Tosh was busted and beaten almost to death and it made his music more vengeful.. Secret Police and the CIA tailed him thru it all. Grotesque human rights violations were commonplace. Marley found out he had a brain tumor. He sang " these songs of freedom is all I ever had, emancipate yourself from MENTAL SLAVERY. "He was observed rubbing his forehead and grimacing while performing. One woman explained "Hidden lasers were fixed to spotlights above the stage and burned out his brain" Fellow
Rasta’s heard about an alternative doctor in Jamaica, who advised Marley to talk to a Doctor Josef Issels, a holistic immuno therapist in a Bavarian village. He went. The Dr. said "I hear you are one of the most dangerous black men in the world.” Issels medical career did not hold up under scrutiny, during WW2 he had worked hand in hand with Dr. Mengele (angel of death) in research in Poland, at the Auschwitz camp. The Wailers found this out after his death.
Issels told Bob he could cure him and did sadistic procedures that left him in agony. After visits the Wailor’s said "he is killing Bob" He also cut off his dreadlocks. He was in the hands of the doctor who had been the accomplice of Mengele in horrific Medical experiments against what they considered "sub humans". His mother said " he was starving and wasting away , and he would fall into fits of shaking, etc" Marley weighed 82 pounds on the day of his death. May 11, 1980. (HIS MUSIC LIVES ON)
Peter Tosh found the bloodshed and hypocrisy of death squad justice in the Third World unbearable He was obsessed with the hidden evil. By 1987 the year of Tosh murder Jamaica musicians were censored by the prevailing politics. Witnesses and friends insist his murder was a political hit. They were convinced Tosh was killed for his statements on Human Rights, Black liberation and the legalization of Marijuana. Tosh was throwing a small party at home when Mike Robertson, a local radio host answered the door. Leppo Leppan, an old buddy from Trenchtown days stepped in. Behind him were two clean-cut looking strangers, professional hit men, they insisted on talking to Tosh at gunpoint. Shots were fired and three people were dead.
Shortly afterward the N.Y. City apartment of Tosh was entered and burglarized, (such as the aftermath of Hendrix death). Two out of three of the Tosh killers remain at large. One hit man was said to be a policeman, (of course Leppan was convicted.)
Chapter 13 GANG WAR Sons of Chaos.
Rap artist Tupac Shakur was gunned down at a stop-light in Las Vegas in 1996. It will be evident re: the police strategy of disinformation, ignoring of witnesses, and the presence of undercover agents from L.A. and N.Y. at the murder of rapper Notorious B.I.G.
This suggests that both rappers were murdered by hit squads under the sanction of federal officers. Tupac's father said "It was clear to me form day one that the Las Vegas police never had any interest in solving the case of my sons murder..".. It was said “ we dealt extensively with COINTELPRO (FBI) issues. We worked around a lot of political prisoners and the black liberation movement over the years. This shaped Tupac into the person he was. The family operated the "Centre for Black Survival! They had a youth group called "The New African Panthers" and Tupac became the chairperson for it."
The agony of the Rap industry was exacerbated in March 1997 by killing 24 yr. old Brooklyn rap artist Notorious B.I.G. in L.A. This happened after he had attended the annual 'Soul Train' Music awards, by an unidentified gunman. Tupacs father said in a letter (excerpt)"we do know that Brother Biggie was a part of an industry that has been under attack from the highest form of government officials." " They have targeted Tupac, Sister Souljah, and IceT. Ice Cube, just to name a few. This is reportedly due to the content of the lyrics. "IF" this was the case why would devil-worshippers (music-artists) not be hounded out also?????(They openly worship the devil in a so-called God fearing country.) Their lyrics preach mayhem, destruction. Death to parents, and even government; whereas our rapper loved-ones wanted to explain their pain and identify from where they came, with hopes for a better tomorrow; if all things were fair.
We believe that history has demonstrated that the murders of black people (young and old) who can have a profound impact, those who refuse to bow down, have been targeted by government at its highest level.
What we must understand is that our warriors are needed when it has been proven beyond contradiction that the C.I.A. were principal importers of Crack Cocaine and Cocaine into the 'HOOD’, with blatantly racist drug laws, to set into motion tactics of genocide to destroy or lock away our brothers and sisters or the rest of their lives.
Pay attention to the game that is being played on/against us! SEARCH FOR TRUTH! Don't look at who shot them, but why? Don’t be fooled by the media that has never shown real concern for our welfare. DR. MUTULU SHAKUR
Mutulu Shakur's conviction that SECRET POLICE killed his stepson and Notorious B.I.G. proves to be increasingly feasible.
Chapter 14 FALSE GOD SYNDROME
DEATH OF MICHAEL HUTCHENE
.... 1997-----M. Hutchence was found tethered by his neck to a door frame. He too was an activist, who willed the lion share of his fortune to Amnesty International and the Green Party. He was found at the Ritz-Carleton in Sydney Australia. The media concocted scenes of SM but he was found with a broken hand and lacerations and had taken a bad beaten. His friends said he was not depressed and he was against suicide. There were rumors of the "MOB" involved in his investments possibly unknown to him. He died penniless due to investments and trusts and his family had to fight for his money.
He knew Gianni Versace, famous designer who was gunned down, and was also said to be possibly mafia involved, although he denied it angrily (A dead mourning bird was found by the Versace body, a symbol of a hit-man).
Diana Spencer, the Princess of Wales, and a month before her own death attended the funeral of Versace. As it happened another friend of Hutchence was Dodi Fayed , someone said to have mob links. Dodi's uncle was arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi of the Iran-Contra Fame.
Dodi and Diana were killed in a car accident four months before Hutchence died.
THE DEEP POLITIICS OF MUSIC
Roger Bunn director of the Music Industry, Human Rights Assoc. (MIHRA), in the U>K> lives in the eye of the corporate music beast. These are excerpts from letters form Bunn:
"Re: M. Hutchene..."so that's it, huh? Death due to hanging? Sort of unusual that...even for the music industry. Those wonderful featured artist really light up the sky every now and then. Maybe we should consider making the poor darlings an endangered species? When they reach their peak it probably means worth more to the conglomerates dead than live. Think about that next time you go out to buy your conglomerate primitive/folk music, or a well-known movie.... you add strength to the cartel Monopoly. The music industry turns over 120 billion dollars a year. In the music industry there is no such thing as Real Competition".
"Music Industry Is The Richest Industry On The Planet. By providing the public with a marketing of.
FALSE GOD SYNDROME
When artists "usefulness” to a conglomerate is over things can get a little sticky. (End of quote)
MY NOTE......THIS PROJECT OF SUMMARIZING THIS BOOK HAS BEEN ONE CLOSE TO MY HEART, SINCE I HAVE LOVED MANY MUSICIANS (AND WORLD OF FAME PEOPLE) UP CLOSE AND FROM AFAR. I HAVE SEEN HOW THE WORLD OF FAME WORKS AND I THINK IT IS SOMETHING THE PUBLIC SHOULD KNOW. THEY ARE PEOPLE FIRST AND FOREMOST AND HAVE ALL THE SAME TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS THAT WE HAVE, (AS CAN BE SEEN BY ALEX CONSTANTINES BOOK.). MY GRATITUDE TO YOU ALEX.....

Wii: Video Game Fun Women Can Approve Of
For many women out there, the word “video game” represents everything that is wrong with today's society. Grown men will park them selves for hours in front of their beloved game console getting up only to fulfill life's necessities. Young children will undoubtedly throw a tantrum if you insist on making them turn the game off during an integral part of game play. It seems that video games have taken away what woman feel is important in life: quality time. Be that as it may there is one console out there that seems to have sprung them, and therefore us, from the clutches of gory graphics and intense hour long game play. Nintendo, the widely known manufacturer of video game consoles has met women's need for quality time with the acclaimed Wii.
What Makes It Different
What is is about this game console that makes women less likely to cringe at the thought of allowing video games into their household? Wii seems to be bringing people together more than any other video game out there. In an age of technology they have finally found the new millennium's answer to board game night. This video game, though not packed with stellar graphics is full of family fun. Instead of lengthly and intense games that capture the players attention for days, weeks, or months to come, the Wii specializes in short yet fun games that the whole family can play. Games like Wii Play, the disc that comes with the console ensures fun for even the video game challenged with a chance to test their skills at tennis, bowling, boxing, and baseball.
Get Everyone Involved
So how does this help you plight? I my self, being victim of men's love for video games have played Wii and guess what? It's fun. Men and woman of all ages from preschoolers to seniors seem to love the Wii and Nintendo's unique approach to game play. Instead of taking turns sitting in front of the couch practically motionless the Wii invited players to get up and do something, which is after all something that we've been trying to get kids to do for years now. Most games are played by moving the motion sensitive controller to mimic real life movements like the swing of a bat or a golf club. In fact, some senior centers have found that the Wii is a great way to help the elderly become active and have fun while doing it.
Family Fun
If you think video games signify the death of quality time, the Wii should make you pause and reevaluate. The Wii will have you, your significant other, and the rest of your family competing for top bowler or enjoying a great game of Mario Party. You can even get friends and family together in a Wii themed night. Choose a sport from Wii Play and center an evening around it. Everyone can dress the part with their baseball or bowling shirts and you can have fun finger foods that go along with the theme. For example, have a bowling night where you can compete with friends and family while enjoying bowling alley goodies like hot dog, French fries, bowling ball cupcakes, and some orange drink.
Tips for buying a video game as a gift
I have been playing video games for about 20 years now. I have bought hundreds of games for myself and I have gotten a good percentage of games as gifts. I have also worked at various video game stores in my journeyman time of pre-adulthood. So I have a good idea about buying gifts for kids.
Now a video game may seem like a great gift for that niece, or more likely nephew, but you have to ask yourself a few questions before you just hoof it down to your local EB games or God forbid KB toys to pick up little Jimmy or Johnny a video game.
The First question you have to ask is how much you love this person. I am about to drop some knowledge on you. GOOD VIDEO GAMES ARE NOT CHEAP. There are always exceptions to the rule, but in general a new and popular video game is about 60 dollars. If it is a good game, or exceptionally popular, it will remain at that price point for a long time. Gears of War, a game that has been out for over 2 years now is still $40. Halo 3, which came out last November, is still $60, and will be for a long time. Good games remain expensive for a while. If you are going into a game store with an idea of spending $20, then I suggest one of two things: Either not buying them a video game, or purchasing a gift certificate towards a more expensive game that they can pick out themselves. I have gotten a lot of really bad games over the years because my aunt or grandma just got me something that was cheap.
Another point that is closely related to the above is that NOT ALL GAMES ARE CREATED EQUAL. Not by a long shot. The casual gift shopper is a group of people that video game makers know don't get it. They see this and they take the opportunity to pounce. With the emergence of the Wii this is even more prevalent than ever. The Wii is introducing an entire new audience to Video games. An audience that might not realize that Eidos makes really poor games. Game manufacturers have noticed this and are trying their best to take advantage of it. Especially on the Wii, for every 1 good game, there are 5 that are put out merely to sucker you in. A perfect example of this is Game Party by midway games. Midway makes traditionally bad games to begin with. But this takes the cake. Game Party is an extremely poor knock-off of Wii-play which is made by Nintendo. Game Party is $20 and marketed exactly to the misinformed. It looks like the perfect gift. It is cheap, there are a million games in it and its something everyone can enjoy it. This
How to encourage girls to play video games
Nintendo Wii: The Key to Getting your Girl to Play
The video game audience clearly swings more toward the male side, but it isn't impossible to get girls to play along. When I was a kid, I used to play Super Mario Bros. on his Nintendo 64. I loved it. But as my brother and I grew apart, I really didn't have anyone to play video games with. So I didn't play much. And my family went through the consoles as they came out: Playstation, Game Cube, Playstation 2, Xbox... It wasn't until we got a Nintendo Wii that my attention turned back to video games.
That's key: giving her a reason to play. Guys, if you are trying to get your girlfriend to play video games with you, get a Nintendo Wii. A lot of girls these days are not interested in football or shoot-em-up games. They care about their hair and appearance and dieting. And a Nintendo Wii is a great way to get quality exercize, as well as participate in a two (or more) person activity.
I assume it's boyfriends and male friends of girls trying to encourage girls to play more video games. Because I don't know many parents who actually want their kids to play video games-especially in the summer time when there is so much to do outdoors.
But any parents who have a Nintendo Wii in the household and have either seen in played or have played it themselves (you all should!) should see that it is different than other video games. Players build more than just their thumb muscles.
Plus, on the Nintendo Wii, players can create Mii-personal characters to play as. There are infinite ways to make your Miis look, which is something girls are more into than guys. Plus, girls can create all their friends on the Mii and play as whoever they want. They can even make their enemies and make them look messed up if they want to.
Another thing about the Wii that would catch girls' attention is the photo channel. Girls can upload pictures of their friends and family off of a memory card. Once loaded, they can be edited, stored, and even shared with other players (an internet connection is required).
Basically, if you want your girl to get into video games, get yourself a Wii. Believe me, it's a blast for guys and girls, and even parents! Just be sure to wear the wrist strap! You wouldn't want to leave someone with a black eye or a broken TV. That would probably turn your girl off to video games. Unless of course, she's into that kind of thing.
Benefits of playing video games – Part 1
There are a great many benefits of playing video games especially on the Nintendo Wii which makes you get up and move in order to play the games. That does not mean that other consoles do not have benefits but as i know more about the Nintendo Wii than any of the other consoles that is the console i will be centering on in this article.
The main benefit for the Nintendo Wii (benefits that no other console can effectively compete against) is the exorcise you will get by simply standing up and swinging you controller as if it were a tennis racket. Exorcise is going to be made even easier on Nintendo Wii with the release of a new Game called WiiFIT, I have yet to play this game and am looking forward to purchasing it.
Many other benefits for the Nintendo Wii include your Hand Eye Co-ordination which you need to improve in order to play almost all the games released on Nintendo Wii. However, even with truly terrible hand eye co-ordination you could play most games on this console at some level to play the games well you need good hand eye co-ordination.

One of my personal favorite benefits for the Nintendo Wii is how it brings all the members of your family together. The most of the games are not Gender based so members of either Gender can play and enjoy most games, which is great as most of my family are female i don't really fancy sitting down and playing Harvest Moon for hours on end. The Games like Wii Sports which i can enjoy playing with my sisters and they also enjoy so these games can bring the whole family together having fun for hours on end.
There are also games such as Big Brain Academy that get you thinking and stimulate your brain so Video Games are getting slightly educational (although not much) it would be great to see a game designed for youngsters to learn from in a fun way. Games that stimulate the mind may be few and far between but, when one comes along i always try to play it Big Brain Academy may be better on the Nintendo DS but the version released on Nintendo Wii is highly addictive in the same way as that of the DS version.
The photo software on the Nintendo Wii is also a large benefit as i have no way to get pictures from my Mobile to my computer. I can now simply take my memory card out of my Mobile insert it into the Nintendo Wii and send the picture in an email to my normal email address and download it to my computer from there. This may not be the easiest way (i could just get a memory card reader and plug it into a USB port) of getting a picture on to my computer but it works well for me and i do not intend to do it differently until i purchase a new computer (with a card reader built in).
In conclusion with more and more benefits of Video Gaming being included into new games i think that gaming is being taken to a whole new level. I do not think that Gaming can ever take over a long walk in terms of healthy exorcise but the enjoyment of Video Games is becoming more movement based which can only be a good thing.
Video games: The pros and cons of innovation – Part 1
As video games have progressed so has the taste of the American mind. Everyone seems to love the Nintendo Wii, and I can truly respect the new features it supports. As time goes on everything gets bigger and better. The Wii is no different. The Wiimote as everyone calls it, is an innovation of greatness. Every single day people go on and on about the PS3 and how great it's going to be, well when is it going to get to the peak of "great". The Wii already is doing phenomenal in the market.
Nintendo is showing that they have not become that of Sega. They are here to stay, and they hope to stay for many years to come. The Wii brings a great innovative groove to the gamer, you feel as though your there and it actually gives you a little bit of a workout. If Nintendo gets more solid titles for the Wii, I can see it being on top like like Nintendo was way back when.
We all need to realise that gaming has changed and new innovative things are being done to re-create the gaming industry. Nintendo's Wiimote is changing the way we play. Sony is changing itself for the worse and Microsoft is doing one up on Sony. At the rate the Wii goes I don't see much of anything that will slow it down.
But of course there are the cons of innovation. How many games can the Wii support with it's wiimote? Could it truly last long enough and keep people excited? People might find the Wiimote as if it were just to much. People might drop gaming if they can't play their favorite games. Some people may never be able to pick up the new style of game play. We may be seeing a fall of gamers and a rise of new technology.
The Xbox 360 has progressed majorly since it's release in 2005. The Xbox 360 not only has created some fun entertaining features but their games have improved since that of the Xbox. The new controller is also one of the best controllers ever produced for man. The controller is so accessible that you can easily play a game without having to search for what button you have to push like with the Gamecube and Xbox controllers. The online has also improved. The new feature of the Arcade also give the gamer a choice to go back and feel as if they are young again. Microsoft has improved majorly in the gaming market, and at the rate they are going their bound to become the more powerful company in the gaming world.
But of course the Xbox 360 has it's flaws. From what I could tell is that it is somewhat bulky and when moving it makes a loud noise. Also the system

Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 7
Which gaming console is better out of Sony's Playstation 3 and Nintendo's Wii? Though the matter is largely open to opinion, it seems that consumers side with Nintendo's Wii console. Though it may not be as strong as Playstation 3, the Nintendo Wii tops the Sony's system in so many ways.
Between the two consoles, a gamer could find themselves spending hundreds of dollars every month on amazing games. If anyone is considering purchasing two consoles this generation, these are the two that should be picked. The Nintendo Wii is great for party games, and the Playstation 3 is great for showing off to friends and watching Blu-Ray films.
Wii
Once code named the Revolution during early stages in development, the Nintendo Wii is a power house of gaming goodness. The key to the success of the Wii is the fact that the system caters to a wide audience of gamers. The system has video games from almost every genre, and has controls that almost everyone can understand.
Many news reports have revealed that even people well into their 60's have played the Wii console, and Nintendo knows that its struck a gold mine with this console. Some say that the popularity of the Wii is similar to that of Playstation 2, which had tons of third party developers backing it.
These days the Wii has third party gaming companies creating tons of games for consumers to enjoy. Those games can range from being for mature audiences to even children, but you can but since its on a Nintendo console that it's a quality game in some form or another.
On another note, the Nintendo Wii is much cheaper then the Playstation 3. However this could be a result of the high-end chips and parts used in the Playstation 3, but its obvious to gamers that the cheaper console is the first option. Think about it, do you think a parent is going to purchase a console that is $200 dollars cheaper or the other?
Playstation 3
On the other hand, the Playstation 3 is a very powerful machine but Sony failed to see that most gamers are tired of bad games with amazing graphics. Aside from that, the Playstation 3 doesn't have the third part support that the Nintendo Wii has. Although one good point to the Playstation 3 is the amount of games for mature audiences.
Another major upside to the Playstation 3 is the Blu-Ray player, which is pretty amazing when combined with a HDTV. If a loved one is considering purchasing a Blu-Ray player, convince them to buy a Playstation 3 instead, because it's cheaper and you get more for your money.
The Playstation 3 has many games that are considered to be hardcore to gamers. Interestingly enough, most of those titles that are considered to be hardcore are in fact not exclusive to the console. Mircosoft's Xbox 360 has many of the games that fans of the Playstation 3 are accustom to, besides for Metal Gear Solid 4 and a few others.
Conclusion
At the end of the day the better system is the Nintendo Wii, not because its stronger then the Playstation 3, but because Nintendo had the guts to change the rules of video gaming. Everyone from children to the elderly can enjoy the Nintendo Wii and its casual gaming.

Which video game system should you buy? – Part 1

It doesn't matter if you are four years old or eighty-four years old, there is one video game system that you are sure to enjoy. How do I know? I have witnessed it first hand. From my young niece to my elderly mother-in-law and every age in between, this is a video game system like no other. Hands down, if you are looking for a video game system that everyone in the house can enjoy, you need to buy the Nintendo Wii.
The Nintendo Wii is an entirely new age of entertainment and gaming for the young as well as the young at heart. The system costs about $250 and comes with a disk that contains five interactive sport games. The games on the included disk include bowling, baseball, boxing, tennis, and golf. Along with the console and game disk, you will get one regular remote controller in the box. Other games and a multitude of different kinds of controllers can be purchased later.
One thing I enjoy about the Wii is that it is so interactive. When you get ready to bowl or golf, you are literally standing and going through the motions just as you would in real life. The other kinds of controllers I mentioned include everything from tennis rackets to golf clubs. These controllers add a new real life dimension to an already great product. I have yet to see another video game system that even comes close to comparing in this way.
Another great aspect of the Wii is that the console itself is small and can fit just about anywhere in your home. This size factor also makes the Wii quite portable if you want to take it with you someplace without carrying a huge bundle. It is a very convenient console if being mobile is important to you.
Games for the Wii range in prices from about $20 to upwards of $50. The games include everything from puzzle games, sporting events, Sims, and so much more. There are games for every age and there is truly something for everyone that wants to play the Wii. Speaking of which, many of the games are multiple player and allow larger groups to enjoy the fun. So, go ahead and invite more than one friend over for a game of bowling or some action packed adventures.
So, why get the Nintendo Wii as your next video game system? Get it because it is an active way to enjoy time with your entire family and for a fairly reasonable price. You can finally get your children and spouse off the couch without them complaining. More importantly, get it because it is not only the video game system of the present times, but also of the future.
A look at the most popular video game console systems – Part 1
The video game industry is thriving better than ever before. Every system is unique in its own way and is constantly looks for new and different features to stand out from the rest. A big hit is the XBOX 360. The 360 revolutionized the way people connect with live play, giving people the opportunity to connect with players around the world. On top of the in-game XBOX Live connection, cameras were even made useful so players can visually see each other in certain games like UNO. Also, the graphics are extremely detailed and life-like and games like Grand Theft Auto 4 outsold Halo 3 (beating records for Playstation 3 games, as well as Halo for the 360 itself).
The Playstation has gradually increased its gaming techniques from Playstation 2 to Playstation 3. The third version of the Sony Playstation really incorporates online play, following suit to the XBOX 360. Graphics jumped for this console as well. For the Playstation a big fan favorite would be the RPG Final Fantasy 7; however, the graphics leaped to great new heights when Final Fantasy 8 hit the shelves. From that point on CGI (computer-generated imagery) only increased in detail.
Square Enix also went on to create the PSP (Playstation Portable). For a portable video game system the PSP tops it all. It comes equipped with Playstation-level graphics, online features to connect with others, serves as an MP3 and UMD disc videos. The PSP is handy for travel and entertainment. Like the PSP, there is also the Nintendo DS, which has a completely different style than the PSP.
The Nintendo DS is a dual-screen hand console with touch-screen technology to boot. It comes with a stylus (part of the touch-screen environment) and wireless connection capabilities. Like the PSP it has notable graphics and wireless communication. It allows players to connect with people from all around the world. Although, the PSP seems like a more optimal choice because it may take some time getting used to the controls ad making use of the dual-screens whereas the PSP is one screen and simple controls.
One of Nintendo's best video game systems is, without a doubt, the Nintendo 64. Today the games are still fun to play; the controls are easy, and with all the new video game consoles being released to date. After the Nintendo 64 came the Gamecube. This system wasn't nearly as effective as the Nintendo 64. The generic shape was an attempt at creating a new age, more modern appeal; however, the game play weren't nearly as successful as their previous video game console (The Nintendo 64).
Today Nintendo has finally launched one of the most revolutionary products the video gaming world has ever witnessed before. Children, as well as the elderly, have quickly become fans of the Nintendo Wii. The Wii is revolutionary in the way that it actually convinces the players be active with their games. The controller and console have motion sensors attached where when the players flick their arms and wrists for the Wii's bowling game, the ball actually moves with the faintest of twists.
People used to be able to blame video games for children's lethargy. Fortunately the Wii escaped that generalization by launching the Wii Fit, an exercising program. On top of which, all of the other games get the blood pumping and kids moving just as well. For a parent who is afraid of their child becoming lazy the Wii is an excellent choice. Teenagers also work well with this product, but the XBOX 360 and Playstation 3 are also perfect fits. Every system is unique in their own way, but the Wii definitely tops the charts with its technological advancements.

A look at the most popular video game console systems – Part 2
Maybe you're the kind of person who likes to pick up a United Nations Space Command standard issue MA5C assault rifle and defend humanity from an onslaught of aliens bent on the extermination of the human race. Or maybe racing go-karts while throwing explosive turtle shells at you friends is more your style. Whatever you're into, odds are there's a video game system out there for you. The "next generation" consoles from Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have arrived and they've each brought their pros and cons.
The Nintendo Wii, priced at $249.99 is a relative bargain, if you can find one. Since its U.S. launch on December 8, 2006, the Wii has been in short supply. The graphics are definitely an improvement over the Nintendo Gamecube and Nintendo 64 but they do fall short of high definition. What the Wii lacks in power it more than makes up for in the fun department. The Wii's unique controller, the Wiimote; is a tennis racket, a sword, a steering wheel, a guitar, or whatever the game you're playing requires it to be. Players move about in front of the screen and the Wiimote carries their motions into the game. Like their portable Nintendo DS, the Wii is very kid-friendly and, of the three new consoles, the Wii is the only place you'll find games featuring Nintendo's beloved Super Mario Brothers, and Princess Zelda's elfin savior, Link. If you're after a fun console that's great for kids and parties, the Nintendo Wii's for you.
Moving to Microsoft's XBOX 360 we enter the realm of the serious gamer. The 360, at $349.99, is just as revolutionary as its predecessor, the XBOX, offering HD graphics and glorious surround sound. It has a library of fantastic games, an intuitive menu system, and a very well-developed network for online play. Through this network, players can purchase additional game content from the XBOX Live marketplace to further expand the games they already own. In contrast to the Wii, XBOX 360 is targeted at an older audience. However, concerned parents can implement restrictions on what games their kids can play using the console's internal menu system. The only real drawback to the XBOX 360 is known in gaming circles as the dreaded "red ring of death;" three flashing red lights indicating an internal hardware failure. Fortunately Microsoft has identified the problem and extended their warranty appropriately to cover this specific issue.
Finally, we come to Sony's Playstation 3. With a legacy built upon the Playstation and Playstation 2, this animal has quite a bit to live up to. Fortunately, it does. The Playstation 3 will set you back $399.99, and seeing as it's also a Blu-Ray DVD player it's a pretty good value. Capable of outputting HD images in 1080p the PS3 is the perfect companion for your HDTV. The PS3 is loaded with innovative features, including wireless connectivity with Sony's portable game system, the PSP. Of the three major video game systems on the market, Playstation 3 seems to have the most untapped potential. The only real drawback is the current lack of truly phenomenal, exclusive games. As game developers get more comfortable with the PS3's hardware, we can expect some amazing offerings in the future.
Sony's Playstation 3, Microsoft's XBOX 360, and Nintendo's Wii may seem pretty similar to the average consumer. However, these video game systems are not interchangeable and each has its own strengths and weaknesses. With a little diligence, you should be able to find one that's right for you. My advice; get one of each.
Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 24
In my opinion, playing video games improve your intelligence. What strategy to use, which equipment is most suitable? How do I figure out the code- these are all mind-stimulation questions as you play all sorts of games.
But, let's face it. Becoming a lazy couch potato, and inflating like a balloon is NOT on our list for having fun in this 'intelligent' way. There are times video game addicts, like me, stare at the basketball court and wonder why we can't run and leap like that. You feel your energy so low, and you crave action.
Look no further- Wii is THE solution to modern entertainment. Open your eyes to revolution ladies, gents and kids. Why waste your time lethargic on a couch when you can not only monitor your actions, but be the action itself? Yes, Wii allows us to jump, run and swing our bats in the basketball game, with only an easy-grip, wireless remote control. Why settle for the old and dying when you can be with the new and alive?
Wii is the next best thing to Virtual Reality. Give yourself, and your kids more exercise as they involve in sports inside the living room! My first try at Wii, and I was sweating after a hot game of tennis. It was so refreshing and addictive.
There is no doubt about it- gamers find this invention fascinating. Wii is the 'IN' thing, as I always say, out with the old, ON with the new.
Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 4
I think that the Nintendo Wii is by far the better video game console. They are hard to compare because they are so different. But if you are looking for an well-rounded system that you can play, I recommend the Nintendo Wii. Here is some of the reasons that I would pick the Nintendo Wii before I would pick the Playstation 3.
The main difference between the Nintendo Wii and the Playstation 3 is price. Playstation 3 is over $500, where as the Wii you can purchase for $250. I am sorry, but I cannot personally afford $500 for a video game system. They are too expensive in the first place. The Playstation 3 does not even come with a game, where the Wii comes with one. It's not a great game, but at least it is something to try the system out.

The Nintendo Wii has by far a better game selection. There is over 80 games available for it, and Playstation has about 35 games. There is not really any family, fun, and easy games for the Playstation. There are all sports, fighting and racing games. If you are going to spend hundreds of dollars on video game systems and accessories, it should be something that the whole family can use.
Another benefit to the Nintendo Wii is the interaction. With the use of the controller and nun-chuck, you can get the sense of virtual reality and the feel of actually being in the game. It is a great way to sit with the whole family and play games. I think when Nintendo came out with this it revolutionized the way we will play video games forever.
One downfall someone could see to the Nintendo Wii is that it cannot be used as a DVD players as Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 can. Well, DVD players are very inexpensive so you can buy that and a Wii and still come out cheaper than buying either of those systems. Also, the games are ten dollars cheaper than the other two systems. Overall, I think you are getting a better value with the Nintendo Wii and you will have a system with more video games and it will last longer. Nintendo has been out for a long time, and they know how to make people smile!
Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 23
The Nintendo Wii has got to be one of the most fun new innovations in gaming today.
1 - Action is the name of the game.
Remember your kid sister or brother trying to jump over that block by lifting the remote up and over, as if the action would make it take place? Ha ha. Well guess what? As much of a dork it made them (or even you) look like, finally that will work.
With the Nintendo Wii, your game experience will actually consist of the actions you take with the wii remote. Now, when you move that remote, it will move things on the screen too! This is accomplished with a motion sensor strip placed on top of your tv.
Slice, shake, flip, tilt, and throwing motions, depending on the game, all have place when playing the Wii.
This is an easy way you can finally get those couch potatoes moving, Mom and Dad. It works.
2 This ain't just for the kiddies
As I've gotten older, I've notice that I tend to have less and less interest in gaming.
That's what's so great about the new Wii. Gaming has become fun again, as this console includes everyone. Moms, Dads, Grandmas & Grandpas, can all have a blast playing, as you directly interact with the games.
I can't think of an easier way to entertain guests than by pulling out the Wii and challenging your visitors. And it's so easy to figure out. Even the most inexperienced person can pick it up and have fun.
3 You grew up on this stuff
One of the best things that Nintendo has going for it is the character recognition. Who doesn't want to play a game with that familiar Mario, seriously?
"Oh, Zelda, I loved that game when I was a kid. Let me try."
In addition to knowing the characters and games, the Wii will also allow you to play any Gamecube game directly in the machine. What about some throwback action? With an internet connection you can purchase any game that your nostalgic heart desires and play it right there on your Nintendo Wii.
So take my advice. Buy a Nintendo Wii immediately, and thank me later.
Which is the better video game platform: Console or PC?
The concept of one platform being "better" than another is inherently subjective and depends on each individual's point of view. If your idea of a great gaming experience is sitting by yourself in front of a monitor with either a first person shooter (FPS), massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG), or a real time strategy (RTS) game then obviously the PC is going to be a better platform. The other side of the shiny gold coin being the console where the appeal will be to those who enjoy a platform (Mario style) game, fighting, racing, and playing multiplayer usually with people right next to them. Convergence is a big buzz word in the game industry right now and in a lot of ways the PC and game console are melding into each other. FPSs and online play are much more common on consoles and PCs can fairly easily be connected to a TV and used with a wireless keyboard and mouse or a gamepad. Having said that, what advantage does one platform have over the other? The advantages really come down to preference however, as some can't hardly play a game with a keyboard and others can't hardly play a game without it, just as some prefer the isolation of playing by themselves or over the Internet as opposed to a room full of people playing together.

Of course all of the true gamers out there have a PC as well as multiple consoles and will enjoy games from each platform and while I fall into that category I'm also on the side of the console. I am currently building a new PC this fall and will hopefully by November or December have a nice new quad core gaming rig, so I am still by all means a PC gamer. Honestly, if it were not for Nintendo I would be fully on the side of the PC, but the Wii has in fact disrupted the game industry and in a very good way. Nintendo has come across cultural phenomenon with the Wii and made playing games more intuitive and more fun than ever. Before the Wii, I was about the only person in my extended family that would play video games, but now whenever family or friends come over then want to play Wii. Wii Sports is still the game of choice perhaps because of how simple it is to learn and get everyone involved, but games like Rayman, Wii Play, and Mario Strikers all have made for some of the best times in front of an LCD (monitor or TV).
The PC has a firm place in my house as a game system and will always be fun for certain games and as it spreads to the living room PC gaming will appeal to a wider audience. It it limited ironically enough by the amount of freedoms it bestows on the user however, because of it's open ended architecture and constant push to upgrade hardware and software. It alienates many potential gamers whose only gaming on the PC will be solitaire and minesweeper because they don't want to deal with frustrating incompatibilities, patching software, and troubleshooting bugs and glitches. I don't mind dealing with the headaches involved with PC gaming because I enjoy the reward of hi resolution, and more in depth experiences, but I will always play my game consoles and especially the Wii more often because of the social aspect and the bottom line being that they are more fun.
Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 15
While my first-hand experience with the PS3 is limited, I can still say with relative confidence that the Wii is the "better" system in this matchup.
However, before you can label anything, that label itself must be defined, right? So, what makes a game system "better"? Well, categories such as price, game library, graphical capability, playability, and ease of use are easily points for comparison in this instance, so we'll go with them, and add any comments on the special features of either afterward.
Price: I bought my complete Wii setup, which included the system, two remotes, and two games (not including the in-box game, Wii Sports) for just over $450. The most inexpensive version of the PS3 currently retails at around $500. This doesn't include any of the accessories I was able to purchase with the Wii for $50 less, and the PS3 doesn't come with any games.
Game library: There are some killer games out for both systems right now. Resistance: Fall of Man looks gorgeous and is a blast to play, but Super Paper Mario offers a fun and unique twist on a formula that's familiar and slightly nostalgic. I think the gamebreaker in this instance has to be The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Anyone who is a fan of video games as a medium for the art of storytelling (or just video games in general) owes it to themselves to pick up this title, which may eventually rank as one of the best games of all time. Deservedly so.
Graphical Capability: The PS3 tramples the Wii in this category, leaving the Wii to choke on its pixellated dust. Seriously, the graphics on the PS3 are nothing short of amazing and awe-inspiring. However, whether or not you're on the "graphics-before-gameplay" wagon is another story.
Playability: As I've stated before, my personal experience with the PS3 is limited at best, so I can only speak from what little time I've spent playing it. Honestly, I didn't experience any problems when using the wireless sixaxis remote. It felt alot like the PS1 and 2 remotes that I was used to. However, I've heard alot of complaints about it from both friends and people on the internet, saying the controller can be glitchy and doesn't fit alot of games' control schemes very well.
There have been alot of the latter complaints from the Wii-masses as well, but I attest that this was to be expected. The Wii's sensor/remote system is innovative and fun to use- but it's also never been tried. Expecting developers to port perfect copies of successful
Tips for finding the video game that is right for you
Today's video games are becoming increasingly expensive, so when choosing a game, it is sensible to be very cautious. If you do not already have a system, choosing one will determine the type of gaming that you will be able to engage in. There are three types of video game systems: the standard console that adapts to the television, a portable handheld devise, and the almost virtual reality option that is the Nintendo Wii. The gamer on the move would be more likely to get the most out of a portable system like the Sony PSP or the Nintendo DS. Handheld gaming has come a long way since the early days of the Game Boy. These new systems operate on LCD screens with impressive graphics and gameplay. The PSP is even capable of playing specially formatted movies and videos.
While the portable systems are strong, they still operate on small screens with fewer abilities than their full-size counterparts. The PlayStation 3, X-Box 360, and Wii have all demonstrated great graphics and impressive gameplay early in their existence. The PS3, however, is ridiculously expensive, retailing for $500 to $600 plus tax. It has yet to show that its extra cost is worth the difference between itself and its competitors. The X-Box 360 has what is widely viewed as the best means of online play with its X-Box Live function, gaining major attention with its Halo series of games. The Wii has been the best seller of this generation of games as its new motion-sensing technology has brought the future of gaming to the present. While the Wii has proved to be fun for just about everyone, it is probably best suited for fans of sports games. Baseball, football, tennis, golf, boxing, and a host of other sports have already shown to be simulated with great effectiveness by the Wii, with more on the way. Fans of Star Wars are also best advised to look toward the Wii as the recently announced Wii version of The Force Unleashed will offer gamers the ability to use the Wii's remote as a lightsaber - a concept that has the entire gaming community intrigued and excited.
If you do not feel the need for the graphics and complex nature of today's games, simple classics like Space Invaders, Frogger, or Asteroids can be found on older consoles or online through a website called GameTap. GameTap provides access to over 900 game titles, most of them from retro consoles and arcade games, for a monthly fee of $9.95. Also, cheap, simple, used retro gaming consoles can be found at stores like
Benefits of playing video games – Part 2
Although there are the obvious benefits of playing video games - mastering hand dexterity, memorization techniques, logical thinking - with the introduction of Sony's newest gaming venture, the Wii, we can now add exercise to the list. Yes, I said exercise.
I grew up as a video game junkie, spending Friday and Saturday nights down at the arcade, socializing with friends and playing Galaga until I couldn't see straight anymore. Then came the home gaming consoles. I had them all - Play Station, Play Station 2, Game Cube, Xbox, and yes, now the Wii. I read in some fitness book somewhere that playing a video game is better than doing nothing, in regard to exercise. The Wii certainly proves that.
Everyone on my work team had talked about Wii for a few weeks before I took the plunge and purchased my own. I did the research first - Xbox 360 or Wii? Everyone's resounding answer was "Wii!" so I waited until I finally found one at my local store and snatched it up quickly. I took it home, hooked it up, and turned it on. In playing that first game, I immediately knew what the attraction one to this gaming system.
The Wii games require you to be active. The controller not only has buttons, but there is also a movement sensing bar that picks up the physical movement of your controller, so when you swing it like a golf club, the player on the game screen swings a golf club. After an hour of playing the sports games on the Wii, I went to work the next morning able to say "I've got Wii elbow", since the muscles in both of my arms were sore from playing tennis.
Aside from the benefits of gaming I've already listed, you can't overlook the benefit of being able to relate to people better through a common interest - gaming. My kids and I play video games together on the weekends, and it allows us to have that family time we need, and I don't have to beg them to do something I want to do that they have absolutely no interest in. Sure, they usually gang up on me, when playing multi-player games like Halo, but I can still kick their butts when we play Galaga!
Video game reviews: Wii Play (Wii)
Wii Play, the second game in the Wii series, is essentially a training game for the Wii's innovative controller. Similar to its predecessor, Wii Sports, this game features an assortment of mini-games as well, each one aimed at a multi-player audience yet can be played by a single player as well. The game also includes a free Wii controller within its package, which itself is one of the major reasons that the game has gone to sell more than six million units.
The great thing about Wii Play is that anyone can play it, from your little sister to your grandmother who has no clue what a video game even is. The game begins with one game unlocked, the rest of the eight games it offers is locked. Upon playing the first game, the player unlocks the second, and then the third, until all nine games are unlocked.

Shooting Range - Players go through multiple rounds of shooting balloons, clay, targets, ducks, cans, and UFOs. The game is a tribute to the 1984 classic NES title, Duck Hunt. The targets throw curve balls once in a while, as some targets will have the faces of the players' faces. Shooting targets with the opponent's face will get you bonus points, however, shooting a target with your own face will give you negative points. Bonus points are also awarded for consecutive shots (without missing).
Find Mii - Crowds of caricatures will gather on the screen, either standing, swimming, walking, or sitting and the player will have to go through rounds of finding a particular character amongst the group of people. Similar to "Where's Waldo?", the rounds will vary in terms of the objectives. Some objectives include: find two identical characters, find the fastest character, finding the "odd one out", and finding a certain player (the picture will be shown in the beginning of the round).
Find Mii - Crowds of Mii characters will gather on the screen, standing, swimming, walking and doing other things, and the player is given certain details to look for among them. The player then must pick out the Miis that match the objective. The objectives range among finding two to five identical Miis; finding the fastest Mii; choosing a favorite and finding it again; or finding the "odd Miis out" (doing things that other Miis aren't). Single player mode uses a timed system in which the time limit is extended upon finding the correct Mii(s), and multiplayer mode uses a scoring system where two players attempt to get the highest score within two minutes.

Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 13
I believe the Nintendo Wii is better than the Playstation 3. There are a few factors that I base my decision on, the first one being price. I love video games, but I am not one to go camp outside a store 3 days before the release of a new system, and pay $500 or more for just the console itself. I usually don't purchase a new game console until it has dropped in price, at least a little. At the Wii's release, it was selling for around $300, while the PS3 was at $599. When I purchased my Wii, about 5 months after it's release, I was able to get it for $249. It came with the Wii Sports game and one Wii remote. At that same time, the Playstation 3 was still selling for $599, and it only included a DVD remote.

Another thing I like better about the Wii is the interaction. The Wii is the only game console where you actually "live" inside the game. You swing the remote to swing the baseball bat or tennis racket, instead of just pressing "A". I believe this ability to interact has made the Wii so favorable over other game systems. It's a workout for your whole body, and not just your thumbs.
A third reason I chose the Wii is the game selection. This reason is purely opinion. I have been a huge Mario fan since I received my first Nintendo about 18 years ago. And it's not just Super Mario anymore. Now it's Mario Party, and games that feature Luigi and Wario. Wii also offers my newest favorite game, Cooking Mama: Cook Off. While I am sure there are awesome games out there available only for the PS3, but I prefer the Wii games over any.

Video game reviews: Rockstar Table Tennis (Wii) – Part 3
It seems like a natural thing for Rockstar's Table Tennis to migrate from the Xbox 360 to Wii. This game fits perfectly with Wii's venue of physically active games. While much of the Xbox version has successfully made the leap, there are a few points that were dropped.
The first and most obvious thing players will notice is the serious downgrade in graphics. The visuals on the Xbox 360 were stunning, some of the best around. The Wii version, while looking good for the platform, lacks a great deal of detail. The second point that is missing is on-line play. In the 360 version, on-line play was a cornerstone of the game and made it a worthwhile game to play. The Wii version is sadly lacking any on-line component and this is a terrible loss, since that's the part players loved the most. Having gotten this out of the way, let's look at the game itself.
There are three ways to use the controllers in this game. The first method is the simplest. Players use the Wii remote to swing the paddle, while the character automatically positions itself. This is great for new players or folks that are uncomfortable using the other, more involved methods.
The second way of playing gives players more control, but its more involved and harder to master. Users still use the remote to swing the paddle, but they also use the nunchuk stick to place where you want the ball to hit on your opponents side of the table. Using this style is great for players with a little more experience and those looking for more challenging play.
Finally we come to the hardest style. This uses the nunchuk to move your character around while also using the remote to swing the paddle. It gives players the most control and realism, but rookie players may find it a little to complicated. This style of play is geared towards experienced players and those looking for complete control. You can use the control buttons in each case to add more control and spin. Bear in mind that in each of the styles there is about a one-second difference between the time a player makes a motion and it gets translated onto the screen. Once you get used to this, you'll appreciate the game more.
The game also has un-lockable features that help to make it more appealing. There are various points throughout the game that give players the opportunity to add more characters, playing venues, clothes and more. This is a nice element of the game that will appeal to players the ability to customize their experience a little more.
There are two modes of play, exhibition and tournament. In exhibition mode, the player chooses which character he or she will play and which character to play against. You can play against other another player using the multi-player option. Tournament mode allows a number of players to compete against each other until a winner emerges. With no on-line option, experienced players will eventually find the game a bit limited.
If you played the 360 version of this game, you'll probably find the Wii version disappointing. Folks that have never seen the 360 game will think this game is one of the better ones available for Wii. It has outstanding mechanics and game play and will give you and your friends hours of entertainment. In a choice between game play and graphics, I'll choose game play each time. The action is fast-paced, and players will find their palms getting sweaty, especially during tense moments when the soundtrack kicks in. The cheering crowds only add to it all. Priced nicely at around $40, this game is well worth the money for the amount of playing time you get with it.
Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 8
Personally I think that the Wii is the best. Sure the playstation 3 may have good gravics but it's still just pushing a bunch of buttons. Video games shouldn't be all about graphics and downloadables, they should be about fun. When it comes to fun, I go to the Wii. straight out of the box the Wii supplies fun. Wii sports is one of the more fun sport games that ive ever played. Plus i think it's pretty cool to see a computerized version of myself playing those sports. That brings me to my next point. The Miis. On the wii you can create a version of yourself and others and with an Internet connection have them travel to other wii consoles.
Ever since I started playing video games I've dreamed of state of the art virtual reality. Now with the Wii that dream is practically true. In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, if I swing the remote, Link swings his sword. I'm sorry but thats just awesome. This Motion technology also sets a new bar for first person shooters. I remember playing Duck Hunt on the original NES and always wanting more games like that. Now with the Wii, every FPS or any type of shooting game can be the way the are in the arcades. With the Wii games like Time Crises can be brought into the home.
If your one of those people that just love the classics, than the Wii helps there too. Classic Nintendo games can be bought and downloaded onto your Wii console. I think that beats out playstation 3 any day. You can even surf the net with your Wii. The only thing people might find disappointing in the wii is that it doesn't play DVDs, but hey, thats what DVD players are for.
Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 11
While one's preference for a certain video game system over another is just that a preference the debate between the PS3 and the Wii ended in the past few months with the introduction of the WiiFit Balance Board. Allow me to explain as one who has only played the Wii, never played the PS3 (although I was an average player on its grandfather, the original PS), and recently received both aforementioned Wii accessories.
Over the past several years debate has raged in the United States as to what can be blamed as the root cause for childhood obesity. In many opinions and studies, video games were cited as at least partially guilty. Just think how many hours some of us spent finding the secret warp zones on Super Mario Bros., or pretending to be Link as he sought Zelda. The games were fun and challenging, but not so engrossing or involved as today's which seem to be just a step away from reality.
And reality is what seemed to bite Nintendo in the posterior when it created the Wii, and subsequently the WiiFit Balance Board. By nature, video game players are competitive not only with other players, but with themselves. Try to recall how many times you played the same course on any NES racing game just to beat your previous best or beat the computer's time, and you may get an idea of how addictive the WiiFit can be. Plus, since it forces you out of your gaming chair and gives results based almost entirely on your physical activity, Nintendo took an enormous step in helping to solve a real problem.
Now, since the key word in this debate is "game," I will only briefly touch on how WiiFit works. Also, a quick Internet search will likely return hundreds of reviews of the WiiFit, so why be repetitive? Put simply, a player stands on the Balance Board and has the choice of activities from four categories: strength training, aerobics, yoga, and balance games. Each grouping has "locked" activities that make themselves available once certain benchmarks in the opening activities are achieved. WiiFit also tracks an individual's progress through a graph that marks weight and body mass index. What it also records is a person's "WiiFit Age." This is determined after a quick test taken while standing on the Balance Board. Sometimes, it can be higher than the participant's actual age. In fact, there have been bad days when WiiFit has accused me of being more than a decade older than my actual age. However, the competitor in me has brought me back to the Balance Board again, and again, and again. Most recently, I had improved enough on the board to be told I was as good as a player five years my junior.
And that is precisely the reason WiiFit should be viewed as the feather in the cap for Wii as a game console. Once again focusing on "game" and not the features or the cost or the game's accessories and their costs, Wii stands head and shoulders above PS3. The gaming nature of its players will brings them back over and over again to beat a previous best in the balance games and earn a champion ranking. Or improve their form in strength training to be called a bodybuilder. Or maintain a solid enough center of balance to be called a yoga master. Or burn enough calories aerobically to earn the title calorie incinerator.
Wii vs. PS3. The debate will rage on. But going on games and accessories alone, Wii is the fitter of the two.
A look at the most popular video game console systems – Part 4

Video game consoles. How do you pick from the bewildering array of current products and games?
Game console manufacturers are now in what they describe as the seventh generation of game systems. This is characterized by wireless controllers, high resolution graphics, and internet connectivity. Current offerings in the video game console market are from three companies:
Microsoft currently offers the XBOX 360. This game console is based on a PC platform and many of the games available for XBOX are also available for PC. The XBOX 360 starts at a suggested retail of $279 for a bare bones system but a well equipped can easily run $100 more. Older XBOXes, games, and accessories are still widely available. Many original XBOX titles are backwards compatible with the XBOX 360.
Sony's current products include the Playstation 3 console and the PSP (Playstation Portable), which is a hand-held portable console with a screen. The Playstation 3 retails for around $400 and the PSP starts around $170. As its name implies, the PS3 is the third in the Playstation line of game consoles. The Playstation and Playstation 2 were popular systems and units, games, and accessories are still available. Different models of the PS3 have different levels of backward compatibility with PS2 games, so if this is important to you, do your research and make sure you can play the games you want.
Nintendo offers the wildly popular Wii with it's revolutionary wireless motion sensing controllers. The Wii is the successor to the company's original Nintendo 64 and Nintendo Gamecube. The Wii has found a niche with customers who might not be considered typical game console players but are drawn to the increased level of interaction provided by the Wii's unique motion sensing controllers which can mimic actions like pointing, throwing, and steering
Each company offers a host of features, like high definition DVD players, interenet connections, or on-line communities. Some of these features are common to all three and some are unique. Do some research to determine the best fit for what you plan to do with your console.
The most important consideration will always be the available games. If you enjoy first person shooter or role playing games, look at the PS3 or XBOX 360. All three have racing titles. The Wii tends towards sports or simulation games that take advantage of the motion sensing controllers. Each console offers parental locks to prevent children from playing inappropriate games, but the Wii offers more parent friendly features and kid oriented titles.
Determine what types of games appeal to you or your children and which titles available for each product. There are many on-line gaming communities that discuss console games and provide forums where you can get questions answered by experienced users. Do a Google search for gaming console discussion to find these communities.
Finding some of the more popular units may take some research. Scarcity drives up prices, so determine in advance what you can afford. If you purchase on-line, make sure it's from a reputable company with a good track record. Don't forget to factor the cost of shipping and insurance into your price comparisons.
Finally, be aware what the games cost. Many manufacturers lose money on the console with the intent that they will make it up in game sales. Popular titles can cost $60 or more. That can be a shock if it's not included in your original budget.
Speculating on the future of video games – Part 2
While Xbox 360, PS3, and the Wii were released over a year ago, these systems are coming out with gadgets and gizmos that seem almost futuristic.
To begin with the Wii itself brought a revolution on the gaming empire with it's Wiimote and separated nunchuk. More over the Wii will continue to release additions and accessories for the Wiimote, the newest being the Wiizapper, which unites the nunchuk and Wiimote much like a crossbow or gun. The Wii also has a sports kit (complete with gulf club, tennis racket and more) and a steering wheel for racing games. But the Wii is only the beginning.
Two big new innovators of the video gaming industry are SplitFish and Headplay.
SplitFish specializes in PlayStation accessories, mainly streamlining new designs for the PlayStation controllers. SplitFish's newest product is a PS3 controller that is split in half. It's designed to be like a computer controller. Like the Wii nunchuk, the joystick is separate. The select buttons (Like X, O, the square and the triangle) are located on mouse like device that sits on a mouse pad.
SplitFish also has PS2 accessories, as well as eye gear which is supposed to make PS2 games (and DVDs played on the PS2) 3D.
Headplay is a personal cinema system that is composed of several parts. The first piece is the visor, which is what Headplay, the screen, is strapped to, and encircles your head. The visor is designed for hours of entertainment, and can be used for all the newest three video gaming systems, DVDs, ipods, and it can be used to surf the internet. The multi-media center is the center piece. Depending on what activity you want to do, you plug the correct cords into the multi-media center. Headplay is the actual screen that will appear in front of your eyes.
However, the technology of the future comes at a price. The Wiizapper is $25 (and it comes with the game "Link's Crossbow Training", the PS3 SplitFish split controller is $60, and the complete Headplay bundle is $500, $550 if you decide to get the PC package which includes the battery.
Another part of technology which will undoubtedly be further developed is the use of wireless internet. While the Wii does use wireless internet, and other gaming systems allow hook up to the internet, the Wii is the first system that allows interaction through systems when the system isn't even on. More over, Nintendo's hand-held system the Nintendo DS also uses networks, allowing people within certain ranges of each other connect.
Undoubtedly wireless will continue to be a tool in the upcoming release of systems, and will possibly be integrated with systems like Headplay, allowing cinema systems to connect to the internet at any wireless hotspot.
Christmas 2007 gift ideas: Hottest video games for children
The specific genre or niche of children's video games has really evolved into a category that is no longer restricted to appealing only to younger gamers. Instead, children's video games are still made with children in mind regarding everything from graphics to difficulty level, but there's enough thrown into the game to interest older gamers. All in the games on the following list would traditionally be considered games for children, but a fair share of older gamers most definitely play all of these games. Nevertheless, children (Ages 5+) will definitely enjoy these 3 games of the Christmas 2007 year:
1. Super Mario Galaxies (Wii)
Mario makes his first solo appearance on the Nintendo Wii in a 3D platform game set in outer space. You'll travel from galaxy to galaxy, surfing on light rays and floating through the air above dangerous swamps, collecting stars and defending your enemies. New game play elements like Gravity Arrows, which simulates the effects of gravity as Mario flies through the depths of space give this game an exciting new touch. The graphics and sound of the game are brilliant and are sure to keep children and adults locked in on Super Mario Galaxies.
2. Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (DS)
The new Pokemon RPG game of the year, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl take you into the previously unexplored region of Sinnoh. In Sinnoh, two Pokemon rule the mythology and folklore of the area, and are said to be able to manipulate time and space. You start out as a new trainer, and will work your way through collecting Pokemon and Gym badges along the way. Diamond and Pearl also features the use of WiFi for real-time battles and trading with any of your fellow Pokemon trainers around the world.
3. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Wii, DS, Xbox 360, PS3)
This game is a series of the stories of all 6 Star Wars movies into one game. The version for the Wii platform uses motion to control your character, letting players swing the Wii Remote to control your characters lightsaber, which even casual Star Wars fans have dreamed about doing in a video game. There are now over 160 playable characters, including new additions like Boss Nass and Watto. Fans of the series will also notice additions and improvements to force powers, power-ups, and challenge modes.
Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 5
"You're playing Zelda on the Wii? Cool, I'm curing Cancer with my PS3". The PS3 is the better system hands down. The only console ever created that can help cure disease. This feature will be available as a program update for the PS3. It allows universities to link all available PS3's together and use the combined speed to render human cells.
Curing disease is a great thing, but some people just wanna have fun. Lets give the Wii a fair fight, and see which system plays a better game. The classic way of judging a console was to compare 4 things: games, graphics, controllers, and cost.
It can be observed that one great game is better than a hundred lousy ones. Games on the Wii use the motion sensor controller on all of their games. Even multi-platform games. This means more playability on the Wii for a game available on both systems.
Winner: Wii
The graphics are undeniably better on the PS3. However, amazing graphics usually compromise not only the quality of the game but also the length. A game company has a budget, with more money going into increased visual effects, the less money they have for levels and overall game design. Is it that important to see the hair in your enemies nose?
Winner: PS3
Who could enjoy a video game with an uncomfortable controller? The Wii has the most innovative controller since the power glove. It has a motion sensor that can be used as anything (sword, gun, wand). The PS3 controller is much like the beloved PS2 controller, with wireless and motion sensor.
Winner: Wii
The price should be the last consideration when choosing a console (unless strapped for cash). Video game consoles have always been expensive. Nintendo has continuously provided quality systems at a cheaper price despite the high price of past and current systems.
Winner: Wii
The Wii seems to take 3 of 4 of my category choices. So yes, the Wii plays a better game, but you can't cure cancer with a Wii degree. Nothing could beat playing a video game and making a difference at the same time. So buy a Wii, and have fun playing games, I'm gonna go work on Alzheimer's.
Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 18
The Wii is by a wide margin the better system of the two. here is my analysis of the subject...
First off, I saw the guy (Verny) on the PS3 side said to forget about game-play as part of his argument... what the hell are you buying a video GAME system for again? seriously, games are meant to be played, nothing personal but you just can't forget about game play... And to get it out of the way, yes, the PS3 is going to have the better graphics of the two systems... but better graphics are not going to guarantee that you are going to like the games you are looking at... Nintendo has a legacy of classic games such as Super Mario, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and now Smash Brothers. Granted a lot of people may dismiss these games as childish but can you say they are bad... hell no... in fact Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is quite possibly one of the best games of all time and that was a game from the Nintendo 64... Nintendo has consistently good games is the main point... with Nintendo you know that there will be quality game-play... Another example, Wii Sports... again, childish graphics, but the games are fun to play... ask anyone to try it... I haven't met a person that hasn't liked those games...
Now people will say, "What about Madden?", "What about Guitar Hero?"... I'll give them Madden, i look forward to seeing the next Madden release... but Guitar hero on PS3, well according to a college buddy of mine, who recently sold his PS2 since he has a PS3, There are no controller ports since the PS3 is completely wireless, so unless your guitar controller is wireless as well then you're S.O.L. be prepare to shell out more cash for that... and that guy? he had to get his PS2 back in the meantime to get his Guitar Hero fix...
Speaking of paying more, how about the price difference... one could buy TWO Nintendo Wii systems (providing one can locate them) for the price of one PS3... enough said...
And how about backwards compatibility? With the Wii you can also play Gamecube disks or for a real old-school treat you can go on-line and download Nintendo and super Nintendo games in the mean time...
Breakdown:
PS3.........|..........Wii
* Graphics
Game-play *
Reply Value *
Cost *
Technology *
Final Verdict: Either way you're going to enjoy whatever system you choose... the Wii just seems to be the better all around buy. And Verny, if you doubt that the Wii is a good system and you only have a theory about it, I encourage you to go out and play one. If you don't like the nunchaku controller, you can always plug in the gamecube controller and give it another try...
Nintendo Wii Video Games Search
Everything about Wii revolves around the remote controller and Nintendo Wii Video Games are no exception. Its motion sensing technology makes the gaming experience feels like the real thing be it tennis, bowling, baseball, boxing and so forth. So much for the 'couch potato' image of video gaming as the intrinsic specialty of Nintendo Wii Video Games is the players' movement.
If cost is the foremost consideration, Games For Wii can be found free-of-charge on plenty of peer-to-peer (P2P) torrent sites but people are generally well-advised to steer clear of them unless they're willing to contend with the viruses, malware and identity theft. The downloading process is also often glitch-ridden.
There are different packages of paid membership to suit individual needs and preference. Per-download or limited-time options make more economic sense for the occasional gamers but they are few and far between. Wii-rockers are predominantly fanatical about their favorite gizmo and can't have enough of it. Lifetime unlimited membership is hence the no-brainer choice and is by far the most popular option.
Unlike the per-download scheme, unlimited downloads are virtually free-of-charge. The one-time fee goes more towards the sign-up and purchase of the software and tools. Actually, How to Download Nintendo Wii Video Games is the easy part. The trick is in picking out the right provider. This can be tricky as scams and underperformers are over the shop. Unless you are an all-console gamer, pick one that is exclusively Wii so it is not diluted out. With all the Wii features, be sure that it offers complete free Wii media such as music, movies and TV shows with full refund guarantee, technical support and software. Tools and accessories must also be supplied at no charge.
The market rate of the one-time fee charged by the top-tier providers is not much more than what you would pay for a single disc from the store. If it's also powered by secure retailers such as Clickbank, you are in safe hands.
Nintendo Wii Video Game Rating System
Since Nintendo makes video games for people of all ages, not all of them are appropriate across the board. Parents need to be careful about what video games they expose their children to. Some people won’t let their young child play a certain game but they allow them to watch others playing it. That isn’t a concept that makes too much sense.
For many parents who don’t play the games too often though they may not realize what is on them. While many of them are fun they can contain graphic materials that you may not want your children exposed to. Some parents are afraid that playing certain games can lead to criminal behaviors and aggression. This is a fear that the media has put into parents though due to playing video games being used as a defense when children do commit various types of crimes in our society.
In order to make sure parents know exactly what their children are playing, they have accepted the universal game rating system. This is on the box for every game as well as on the instructions and even on the label to the game itself. Should your children be trying to get you to buy them a certain game you can even look online to see what rating it has before you commit to doing so.

The Nintendo Wii rating that people are the most familiar with is the E for everyone. This means that regardless of your age or maturity level you will enjoy playing that particular game. Generally though it does mean that the game is able to be played by children at least six years of age.
For the younger consumers there are ratings of EC. This means Early Childhood so realistically children three years of age and older can play them. It is very likely that those about six years of age will find them to be boring and too simple. Still, if you have small children who want to be part of the Nintendo Wii buzz in your home it is nice to offer some games that they can play on their own.
You won’t find too many games out there for the Wii that are rated A for adults only. The rating of M for mature is very common though. According to this rating system that generally means for those over 17 years of age. Parents have the room to make this decision though. They may feel that their child who is only 14 is mature enough to play certain games. That is a decision for the parents to evaluate on a game by game basis though.
There is a T rating which is for Teens from about 13 to 17 though. You will find Nintendo markets many games in this age group due to the demographics of their consumers. You can be comfortable letting your children play these games as they aren’t full of violence but have plenty of action and graphics to keep them happy.
Occasionally you may see a rating of RP which means Rating Pending. Generally though Nintendo is very good about getting a rating on their games before releasing them. The company as a whole is very family oriented so they don’t want to be involved in any controversial issues. However, parents need to carefully evaluate video games that are RP before they decide if their children can play them or not.
With the Nintendo Wii games you can put a lock on your gaming console. This means to be able to play certain games a code has to be given. So even if you have games in your home that you have told your kids not to play they can’t do so even if they are tempted. It is important to realize though that if you are using backwards compatible games from the Nintendo DS or the GameCube that these codes won’t keep them out.
Defending video games: How more active games are getting gamers off the sofa
The Nintendo Wii is amazing for people who need to get off of the couch. Yes, I am talking to the video game couch potatoes to get up and play the Wii. Trust me, that system is wicked awesome. Take example the Wii Sports that come with the Wii game system. My uncle got it and I played against him. Even though the graphics look nothing like real people, I felt as if I were in the game and almost ran around the room to get the tennis ball. I forgot the Wii avatar runs for me already. How embarrassing. Wii baseball is also great for exercising. Using the controller to throw a fast ball, curve ball, or whatever is great. Once again I played against my uncle. He couldn't swing past my fast ball. I hope the video game couch potatoes are still reading. I used to be one of them. When I discovered Nintendo Wii and DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) my couch potato video games were over. Even though I still get exercise outside, I still love to play Nintendo Wii and DDR whenever possible. Especially on rainy days. Come to think about it. I think I want to play right now.
