If your on steam..This will only work on single player, eable the developers console and type is sv_cheats 1, then you can change grvaity by typing gravity_600, etc..
You can find out more codes online.,

i had that probelm first but i got it, if you got a good enough graphics card:
go to options, video then there’ll be an option which will be on “software” by default. change it to opengl or d3d hardware thing
