You can’t get Wii Points for free, but it’s good you know surveys are scams…
Unfortunately, you can’t receive Wii Points as a gift, contrarily to what some people say. People can only gift Wiiware and VC games.
Maybe ask for N64 VC games for your birthday or something?
And don’t even think about asking for a gift on Y! Answers…

Nintendo consumers residing in Europe can register their Wii games for “stars” at Club Nintendo.com. These stars can be traded for Nintendo Points. This system is not available in North America, and it probably won’t ever be.
