You can only buy them 2000 points from cards.
And only 1000,2000,3000, and 5000 from credit cards.
There is nothing you can get for 100 points on the shop channel. the lowest you can buy is 500 if you pay by credit card to buy points while on the wii shop channel. 500 points is only about $5 US.
You cant. You can either buy 2000 points in the form of a card at a retailer, or you can purchase 1000, 2000, 3000, or 5000 from the Shop Channel directly by paying via credit card.
They used to offer increments of 500, 1000, 1500, or 2000, but no longer do that.

Put it simply… you can only buy $20 worth for a single Wii Points card which is worth 2000 Wii Points.
Using a credit/debit card, you can buy them straight from the Wii Shop Channel (instead of going to the store)… $10 for 1000, $20 for 2000, $30 for 3000, skip 4 for no reason why… and $50 for 5000!
Plus if you’d take the time to use your head for a change… the more Wii Points you buy, for whatever many multiple games you wish to download… you have either a little bit more or lots more Wii Points for more games.
And so what if you sometimes get stuck with only a measily 100 200 or 400 points, from after getting a game and not having enough for anything else. If you did your own freaking math, and whenever you added in more Wii Points, you could get something else that was the price of another game.
On the other hand, few WiiWare games have/will offer DownLoadableContent aka DLC, and having spare Wii points for that helps… with games like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles My Life As King and previously released Mega Man 9!!!
You can only buy a 2000 point card and 1000, 2000, 3000 and 5000 from a credit card. Word of advice: next time check how many points you’ll have left before buying you’re games so that way you don’t end with this same problem.
