I personally think that parents should play video games with their kids. I have my mum play video games with me, the wii is great fun for that :) . When parents play video games with the kids it's like a family night without the usual objections from the kids, because honestly, what kid would say no to video games? It also depends on what games you get though so make sure everyone is cool with whatever you have and then bring on the fun, lol.

Like lillilou, I'm also thinking about buying the Rock Band for me and my mum...now that would be a great game to play.

I think its good parenting to take an interest in what your kids are interested in, make it family time, and of course also to make sure its nothing you would object against. Plus I think theres such a variety now, especially with more active games.

We're thinking of getting Rock Band.

they should because then, you actually know what there playing and get to know what they like more. Parents shouldn't because sometimes little kids get annoyed easily and they might become mad at you.
