@RichSprite: Mario Kart has always been cheap. The whole nature of the gameplay is set up that way. The items? Hello? You must use strategy & a bit of luck to win not come at the game like a straight up racer.That’s what F-Zero is for.

Super Mario Kart doesnt have a welcoming, but its older than Mario kart 64, so we didnt expect a welcome to mario kart. besides, the intro to Super mario kart is hilarious. plus it has DK jr and coins, feather item, and more!

Bottom Line: Gameplay is more important than anything else
it does need a welcoming, otherwise no one will wanna play the game. and who doesnt care about welcomings? You cant tell me you werent wowed by WELCOME TO MARIO KART when you first heard it. Everyone was. Better gameplay would help Mario kart wii, but so would a welcoming and MK64′s starman music(You should put on headphones, put the volume up high and then listen to it in HD it sounds so much more epic, like its actually coming for you!

To FreakofGalaxyandBK: thats not why people don’t like Mario Kart Wii. People don’t like it because it’s cheap. I think a lot of people could care less about a welcoming. It doesn’t need a welcome, just better gameplay.
Why is there no “WELCOME TO MARIO KART!!!”? no wonder some people dont like this game
