At least Obama didn’t pull of a “Jack Thompson” and say that violent video games are the cause of real-life violence. He simply mentioned that children seem to focus more on video games than on studies. However, I have loved video games ever since I was a child, but I still got A’s and B’s in all of my classes. He also mentioned that the game is not for kids and that it’s the parents’ fault for giving it to them, which is true.

I disagree with you. I have played some of the most violent games ever. And i don’t feel like killing people. I mean if you want to kill people after playing a game you have a disturbance in your brain.
Sorry but I disagree. If someone plays too much violent games he could get violent himself,I think that it is possible. You never know what might happen to players…anything can happen

yes yes I agree dude. Perphaps the problem is with the graphics. Today”s games have such real graphics that people forget how the real world looks like. I played almost every gta game (exept LCS and VCS) and I”ve never been violent,angry etc. GTA never brainwashed me,and it never will. But not all people can put a stop to this

Well you don’t really need TV and video games to have fun. Its a hypocritical thing for ME to say, given I’m a huge nerd who does NOTHING with his time, but just throwing it out there. Fresh air and a frizbee is much better than sitting around.
If a kid goes out and shoots up a school, it is bad parenting, not to be blamed on the video games. Obama just wants to point fingers, just like parents do. “My kid has ADHD, so he needs medication!”…..No he doesn’t need medication, you just need to whoop that ass!

I trust him as far as I can throw him. Although I do have to say, media can control kids to an extent, but not to the extent of causing events like Columbine. Panents ultimately control their kids. If children are allowed to play games intended for adults, then its the parents fault, NOT the game developer!
I play gta 4 on my pc everyday and it doesn”t do anything to me. I don”t do bad things,I”m not agressive. Sometimes the graphics kinda “blow up” my mind and sometimes I even forget what the real world looks like,but then I just slap myself into the face and everything is ok. PC Games can do bad things to people,but I”m not gonna make a gambler out of myself. Sometimes I just call my buddy and we hang out…pc games are not everything
