Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 2
The Nintendo Wii, a gaming system for all ages. Now I have nothing against the Playstation 3 but the Wii is for hardcore gamers and beginners all alike while a it's kind of hard for a small child to play a PS3. Beginning the proud owner of a Wii. I know it's not only fun but you also get a good work out if playing games like Wii sports or Wii fit. The PS3 just involves sitting on your butt and where is the fun in that.
PS3 may have a blu-ray but what is the point if you have an HD T.V. On the other the Nintendo Wii has the ability to play games from all your favorite classic consoles like the Nintendo Entertainment system to the Nintendo 64. The Wii also has great feature which is to make your own virtual self called a Mii.
The Mii is also used also in a great variety of games like Wii Fit, Guitar Hero World Tour, Mario Kart Wii, Wii play, Wii Music and, many more! The Playstation 3 is a good system but it is the priciest one out there. PS3 prices range from 399.99 to 499.99 where as the Wii is only 249.99. Wii has many fun features such as Wii channels. The Wii channels are available for purchase from the Wii shop store.
There are channels such as the Internet channel(500 Wii points; $5.00), the Check Mii Out channel which allows to enter your Miis in to contest and download other people's Miis, the Photo Channel allows you to edit your very own photos you took which your digital camera and many more. All the Playstation 3 has is PS home which is just an avatar in a very small virtual world. The PS3 also has no backward compatibility with the PS2 (that feature was removed) to save money.
Just because the PS3 has the PS network does not mean anything just rent a movie from netflix. I personally feel that the Playstation 3 was also poorly made but that's besides the point. I'm just here to say that if you want fun and great times for the entire family get the Nintendo Wii. The Playstation 3 on the other hand is a good game system but not a great due to it's price limited family fun.
