Nintendo Wii Sports RESORT

The Nintendo Wii is definitely an interesting gaming console as well as one of the cheaper ones out there, but is it worth buying? The answer to that question above is entirely up to you and i will leave you to make your own decision, but ill post some facts and notes here to help you make up your mind.

If you compare the Nintendo Wii with a singer, you could say that she has a beautiful voice, but no songs to sing. The Wii simply lacks quality games. The technology is now there, it is available for us to buy, but the game designers use it so badly it just gets boring and the only half decent games out there Nintendo had to make themselves. It seems like it is either hard or take too much time for a game designer to make games for the Nintendo Wii so they just convert the other games they make into Wii by adding a couple of boring features that require the Wii game controllers. You would think the game designers would actually bother to try to make a good game, but they haven't. So the sad state of the Wii has left it to that the best games are the titles that always end up as the best games on Nintendo consoles. You have "Super Mario Galaxy" and "Zelda: Twilight Princess" and then a bunch of crap releases. Wii Sports can be entertaining at times, but it still not quite as awesome as you would think the Wii releases would be. The games will hopefully keep coming and becoming better though, but who knows really. We just have to wait and see.

The console itself I liked. The design is cool and it's not big and annoying taking up the whole room. And the main winning point of a Nintendo Wii is the price, it is way cheaper than the two contesters in the console war. The only console of those three I have actually had was the Wii (I have now sold the Wii) so I can't compare. I do feel that most the consoles suffered from lacking games in the beginning, especially Playstation 3. Playstation 3 suffered from all the games that people wanted was being delayed and it ended up as a console with hardly any worthwhile games.

So yeah bottom line. Buy a Wii if you don't want to spend a lot of money on one of the two other consoles. The Wii is better for the kids with lovable cute games such as Mario and Wii Sports. The console has a lot of features and I do believe there will be some cool games released soon so it might very well be a worthwhile investment. Because of the cheap price of Wii and the possibilities of selling it on for an decent price you won't lose too much on giving it a try. However the Wii does not appeal to everyone so be prepared to either love it or hate it.

Nintendo Wii Console Review

Recognized for its sleek design and unique controller, the Nintedo Wii marks Nintendo's return to power in the home console market. One of the most attractive aspects of this system (other than its minute size) is its price tag. While affordability seems to be a lost concept among next-generation consoles, the Wii clocks in at a reasonable $280.

The Most innovative part of the new Nintendo is the Wiimote controller. The controller is motion sensitive, allowing users to play games a whole new way and giving players a more "in game" feel. While some games manage to do this in a surprisingly fluid way, other games feel awkward and fail to registers some motions. The new controllers will give future game designers more creative freedom and there is hope that later games for the Wii will make better use of its functionalities. Of course, the new controller does not come without problems. There have been numerous reports of wayward controllers refusing to stay in gamers' hands and breaking television screens. As far as graphics go, the Wii falls short. The graphics of the Wii are not at all next-gen, and are in fact the exact same as those of the Gamecube.

For the casual gamer the Wii is a good fit--the low price tag makes casual gaming affordable and the controller lets casual gamers compete with full time gamers. The virtual arcade allows for the play of original Nintendo games, which has great nostalgic value. The Wii is fun to fool around with, but more serious gamers may want to move up to the graphic powerhouses by grabbing a Sony playstation 3 or an Xbox 360. The limited selection of games may leave Wii users feeling left out. Still, the Wii is innovative, fun to play, and shows hope for the future.
