Epicenter CEO Nathaniel McClure stated "Firefighting requires a lot more than spraying down fires, so we've included several game-integral puzzles to mirror the challenges and on-the-fly choices firefighters actually face in the midst of a blaze. We have tremendous respect for firefighters, so we've focused on its unique, exciting game play and distinctive art style to create an engaging game without being exploitative." (GamerSquad.com 2008)
So what do the professionals think? A sample video was uploaded to Firefighternation.com. A social site for firefighters with over 20,000 members. Within hours the video was a hit. Comments showed a growing excitement for the game. Several members stated that they would buy a Nintendo Wii just to play this game.
