Top upcoming Nintendo Wii games – Part 2

Few things compare to the thrill of entering a burning building. Embers falling around your head. Feeling pressure as pieces of debris fall on you. Sheer exhilaration of pulling a person to freedom. Going home knowing that you have saved a life.

Until now these feelings were only available t firefighters. Nintendo Wii is making it possible for anyone to experience this. Ok, not exactly. But, as close as you can get without joining a fire department. Epicenter studios has announced the development of Rescue Heroes: Firefighter (firefighter).

Players begin as a rookie firefighter. You have been assigned to a busy metropolitan station. Using the Wii controller players, hack down doors, pry open cars and spray down flames. Sample videos illustrate some mind blowing graphics. Couple this with a wide screen HDTV and you could feel the flames on your neck.

Epicenter CEO Nathaniel McClure stated "Firefighting requires a lot more than spraying down fires, so we've included several game-integral puzzles to mirror the challenges and on-the-fly choices firefighters actually face in the midst of a blaze. We have tremendous respect for firefighters, so we've focused on its unique, exciting game play and distinctive art style to create an engaging game without being exploitative." (GamerSquad.com 2008)

So what do the professionals think? A sample video was uploaded to Firefighternation.com. A social site for firefighters with over 20,000 members. Within hours the video was a hit. Comments showed a growing excitement for the game. Several members stated that they would buy a Nintendo Wii just to play this game.

Yet another example of why the Nintendo Wii is so popular. Games are providing experiences that have not been available. I could one find one reference to a firefighting game. It was released years ago on the Sega Saturn. With little of the graphics or functionality of this new game. Neither the XBox 360 nor Playstation 3 have announced a game that is even close.

Requiring players to move around addresses video game opponents. Arguing that video games are teaching our kids violence and causing them to be fat. It is very difficult to argue about a game that teaches Yoga (Wii Fit). Very few people will argue with children acting like firefighters.

I see great things in Nintendo's future. New experiences and a family friendly approach is a recipe for success. Children again will be seen playing video games along side their parents. Parents can breath a sigh of relief at playing baseball not looking for prostitutes to kill. From this firefighter Rescue Heroes: Firefighter gets two thumbs up. I will be buying a Nintendo Wii this Christmas.

The Most Popular Nintendo Wii Games for Teenagers

Teenagers seem to be the biggest group of consumers for the Nintendo Wii games. That is why so many of the them are distinctly marketed for them. As a parent it can be difficult to decide which ones they should be playing. They may like some that are rated E for everyone but chances are they will want more action.

Many with blood, shooting, and action in other forms are rated T for Teens as well as M for Mature. You will need to decide where you draw the line for each of your children. Finding out about some of the choices for the Wii in this category can help you to stay informed. Chances are though your kids in this age group will be telling you exactly what games they are the most interested in. Take the time to talk to them about them so you can get a good indication of what the options are.

The music games seem to really be impressing this age group. Of course this is the time when a career as a rock star or something else that is high profile and pays extremely well is still something they imagine. There are several Guitar Hero games with an newer version coming out later this year. It will allow more people than ever to play against each other at one time.

The Rock Band games are very popular with the teenagers who love to play the Nintendo Wii as well. This offers more instruments including the drums accessory that you can buy for them. Both of these types of games feature various songs by popular artists so take the time to explore what music your teen likes before you buy any of them.

Most teenagers are very active so they want to do it when they can. They really seem to like the Wii Fit and all the features it offers. They can spend time inside when it is cold out having a great time staying active. They can also compete against their friends in the various activities. The Wii Fit will help them to get stronger, get into shape, and even improve their balance. You can’t complain too much if your teenager is spending a great deal of time playing such games on the Wii.

Racing games are popular with any age group and that includes the teenagers. Some of them are getting very excited about getting a learners permit. Others already have their license. Yet being able to race Mario with the Mario Kart game is something completely different. Make it as much fun for them as you can by buying the steering wheel accessory for them to go with it.

Super Smash Brothers is another game with Mario in it that teenagers are very impressed with. You can choose from any of your favorite Nintendo characters including Sonic the Hedgehog. This is a type of duel events with each of the characters having their own powers and weaknesses. You will have to learn how to use the ones for the character that you are fighting with. At the same time though you will have to be prepared for the forces that your opponent is able to offer.

You will likely find that you also enjoy many of the same games as your teenagers. Take some time to play them with them. They will think you are very cool while you interact over Wii games. It can help bridge that generation gap that usually does occur. Teenagers often think they have all the answers and their parents are too old to understand. Some really fun times can come along when you spend time playing the Wii with your teenagers.

The cost of these popular Nintendo Wii games for your teenagers are going to vary. Some of them are only about $30 but the majority of them are about $60. The most expensive seems to be the Wii Fit for about $175 but that is one activity that is really worth the investment.

Console reviews: The Nintendo Wii – Part 4

Used Nintendo Wii console(buy cheapest price)

For many years, the particular gaming console you chose was really about your own personal preferences and biases. Underneath all of the hype, however, the consoles were all very similar in terms of what they offered to the average person. Whether you bought a PS2 or an Xbox had more to do with brand loyalty than it did to do with particular features of the console.

The Nintendo Wii has, in many ways, changed things. Sure, there are those who will purchase a Nintendo Wii out of brand loyalty, who have been fans of the Nintendo ever since the early days of the 8-bit Nintendo console. But many people today who haven't purchased a Nintendo product since the Super Nintendo are considering buying a Nintendo Wii.

What is it about the Nintendo Wii that has people excited? Well, the most unique thing about the Wii is its interface. The Nintendo Wii doesn't just use a standard console gaming joystick. The Wii uses a motion-sensitive wireless remote. The remote even features its own speaker, rumble device and Bluetooth capabilities. The Wii uses its sensor bar to detect the positioning of the Wii remote, and the ballast inside of the Wii remote even tells the Nintendo Wii console how the remote is positioned, whether it's twisted one direction or another.

It's this wireless, motion-sensing capability that creates some of the most interesting Wii possibilities. The Wii Fit accessory, for example, assists users as they engage in a variety of physical activities. The system actually monitors body position and, using a special floor mat, even measures the weight of the individual.

There are other reasons to buy a Nintendo Wii, to be sure. Some people will like the Nintendo Wii because the games have the look and feel that Nintendo has been famous for all these years. Playing Mario Kart or Donkey Kong Barrel Blast on the Nintendo Wii brings back, on some level, the nostalgia of playing Super Mario Brothers or Donkey Kong Country. In addition, many people just enjoy those specific titles that Nintendo produces that have never been made available to other gaming system manufacturers.

If you're thinking about buying a new gaming console, the Wii is definitely worth considering. While it's true that the Xbox 360 is probably more appropriate for hard-core gamers and that there are more game titles available for the PS3, the unique interface of the Nintendo Wii makes it worth checking out.

The Nintendo Wii is a great games console. It is radically different from other game consoles available on the market. The games included with the Wii are excellent and introduce you to the Wii controller in a very appropriate manner. They all have the usual Nintendo feel and stamp of family fun. The Wii remote and the Nunchuck controller feel a little different at first, but they are very intuitive to use because using body movements to play games is far easier than just pressing keys.

Wii setup is pretty easy and enables you to start playing games fairly quickly. Playing games on the Wii is smooth and very absorbing. Even though Wii graphics do not have the best resolution, they are more than adequate for games. What is truly innovative is the design of the games controller, and the way Nintendo have integrated it into the manner in which you have to play the games. If you like to play games with friends and family, you will have to get a second controller to get into the spirit of things; you will not regret it.

The Wii wireless setup is also very easy. After connecting the Wii, you can immediately check sports, weather, and news over Nintendo's free online service. The Wii uses a standard SD card for memory. You can get a Wii high capacity memory card for a fairly reasonable price.

The battery life in the Wii leaves something to be desired. The Wii drains AA batteries fairly quickly. The Wii remote sometimes looses it's connection with the console when the batteries are low on power. The Wii wrist strap may not be very durable, but Nintendo are very prompt in dealing with any warranty claims you may have.

The quality of the materials and workmanship on the Wii is excellent. The Wii remote is sturdy enough to withstand being dropped by kids. The Nintendo Wii usually sells out very quickly, so get it as soon as it is available at your local store.

Nintendoo Wii Games Downloads Websites – are They Just a Scam or Genuine? – an Honest Review

As a self-confessed addict of Nintendo Wii games I recently went on google to search for Wii games to download and I came across a wii games website called “Unlimited Wii Downloads”. It’s a relatively new website where you can download as many wii games as you like for a small 1-time fee. There are no monthly charges or download limits, you are given full unrestricted life time access to their large database of Nintendo Wii downloads. I signed up not so much in expectation but hope, having had several disappointing experiences in the past with so called “free” download sites.

Unlimited Wii Downloads tell you straight away that this is not a free download site, but the cool thing is you only have to pay a small fee of $33 once for unlimited life-time access to Nintendo wii downloads.

Unlimited Nintendo Wii Downloads claim to have access to the fastest downloads on the net, whether this is true or not cannot be confirmed but it’s certainly a very well put together wii games website which appears fully above board and genuine, which is a major plus as I’ve seen so many of these type of websites in the past either full of unlikely boasts about the benefits of their products or downright dishonest and possibly illegal.

The legality of these downloads is 100 per cent above board, legal and genuine and Unlimited Wii Downloads have a very solid legal foundation in their terms and conditions, which is important to point out as this does help to mark them out from other less reputable companies, which are mainly found within the music download industry and less so in the computer gaming and wii games download market.

As well as getting access to thousands of Nintendo Wii games, the user can also access thousands of Wii Music titles, TV Shows, Software and more, this makes for a very attractive package, which coming in at $33 is good value.

The quality of technical support is one of the most important factors I find when signing up for any online service such as this, I have to say that the technical support I received from Unlimited Wii Downloads was excellent, the email I received was prompt, polite and highly instructive without being too technical.

The Nintendo wii games download software is very easy to install and gets you up and running in seconds, the fact that there are no monthly fees is great, just one payment of $33 and you have complete unlimited access for life, it’s refreshing to see this as many other similar download sites tend to reel you in with a small initial charge but then add on other charges and monthly fees that leave you angry and disillusioned.

The quality of the wii games, movies and music is highly impressive, all in very high quality digital format, and the huge selection of Nintendo wii games, movies and music is mind blowing, over 980 million files apparently, also there are no nasty surprises such as spy ware or ad ware that you get with other less reputable download companies, this is another major plus of this program, all in all I would recommend this product to anybody who wants access to thousands of Nintendo wii games, music, movies and more, you can find more information about this product by clicking on the link in the resource box at the bottom of this article.

Nintendo Wii History – Getting to Know Your Nintendo Wii System

Joshua Gregory asked:

Having made its debut in November 2006, the Wii has enjoyed great success ever since. Known far and wide for its wireless controls, the Wii has been able to create devotees out of those who have never showed a prior interest in video games. Since its release, the Wii has made headlines than any other video game console. This is mostly due to its benefits in the area of active play phenomenon. At a base price of $250, which includes one controller and basic setup accessories, the Wii can also be found in complete bundle packages that include games and accessories starting at $350 and on up.

The main features of the Nintendo Wii are its wireless controllers referred to as Wii Remotes and a lightweight 6x8 console in a vertical stand. At a weight of less than three pounds, the console is now known as the lightest pieces of gaming technology available. The console currently only comes in white; however, other colors such as silver, black and red are slated for arrival in the near future. One of the top features of this console is the ability to play not only Wii games but other Nintendo console games. This can include all GameCube games and even games downloaded off the internet.

The Wii is most widely known for providing players with active play experience. Wii Remotes and their infrared sensors detect position and movement, allowing players to swing, jab, toss, bowl, shoot, drive, cast and much more. The active play experience not only gives games a realistic feel, it, unlike other game consoles, gets the player up and moving. A vast number of parents and teachers that were previously uneasy with video games have managed to make peace with the idea of active play. Many are still wary about the number of hours spent playing video games but are much more comfortable with what time is spent on the Wii.

The Wii is not only found in homes but in occupational and behavioral therapy settings, hospitals and even retirement homes. The number of games, lack of wires and user friendly set up makes it easy to use for those who are younger or older, with or without video game skills. The fact that the Wii Remote requires action to be effective has made it an extraordinary physical therapy tool. Whereas other activities can seem repetitive and monotonous, some therapists have found that certain games can be of great help for patients needing large or small motor therapy. It gives patients the benefit of focusing on fun and therapists a covert method for rebuilding and enhancing motor skills.

Nintendo Wii Console Review

Recognized for its sleek design and unique controller, the Nintedo Wii marks Nintendo's return to power in the home console market. One of the most attractive aspects of this system (other than its minute size) is its price tag. While affordability seems to be a lost concept among next-generation consoles, the Wii clocks in at a reasonable $280.

The Most innovative part of the new Nintendo is the Wiimote controller. The controller is motion sensitive, allowing users to play games a whole new way and giving players a more "in game" feel. While some games manage to do this in a surprisingly fluid way, other games feel awkward and fail to registers some motions. The new controllers will give future game designers more creative freedom and there is hope that later games for the Wii will make better use of its functionalities. Of course, the new controller does not come without problems. There have been numerous reports of wayward controllers refusing to stay in gamers' hands and breaking television screens. As far as graphics go, the Wii falls short. The graphics of the Wii are not at all next-gen, and are in fact the exact same as those of the Gamecube.

For the casual gamer the Wii is a good fit--the low price tag makes casual gaming affordable and the controller lets casual gamers compete with full time gamers. The virtual arcade allows for the play of original Nintendo games, which has great nostalgic value. The Wii is fun to fool around with, but more serious gamers may want to move up to the graphic powerhouses by grabbing a Sony playstation 3 or an Xbox 360. The limited selection of games may leave Wii users feeling left out. Still, the Wii is innovative, fun to play, and shows hope for the future.

Nintendo Wii – Download Free Games

Darren Care asked:

With the cost of games going up and up, many gamers don't realize that a large part of what they are paying for is the packaging that comes with the game. Those fancy booklets push up the cost to the manufacturer and hence the price gamers are paying. There is good news though! For many titles you are now able to buy the game online and download it right to your Wii console ready to play. No trip to the shops required.

Many people automatically think that downloading games is illegal, but fortunately there are now many places online where you can pay to download games, music and films to your Wii completely legally. This form of distribution has been used for PCs for a long time with the steam platform for games, and services like iTunes for music. Consoles have lagged behind but are now beginning to catch up which is great news.

There have been predictions in the past that before long all games will be bought over the internet and downloaded straight to your PC or console. That time is still some way off, mainly due to internet speeds still not being reliably high enough for some people. However it is almost certain that in the future all games will be downloaded online, which is why console companies are starting to get in on the market now.

If you want Wii download free games, you may be out of luck however as most free download sites are illegal. There are many subscription based sites though that charge a small monthly fee in return for downloads, and these are a much better option. These same sites often also allow you to download movies, TV shows and more.

Burn Wii Games – How To Burn Nintendo Wii Games?

July 14, 2009 by Goldenchute · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Gaming

Steve Somerton asked:

If you happen to own, as so many of us do these days, a Nintendo Wii console, you may well be wondering if you can burn Wii games to disc, and if so, how? A web search turns up a few different options for burning Wii games. The software available for this task performs admirably for the most part, and is improving constantly. Not long ago, it was nearly impossible to backup your Wii games, now it is a commonplace activity. With minimal effort, you can burn copies of your Wii games for backup purposes.

The best of the software out there will allow you to copy and burn games all from the same program, rather than having to contend with one piece of software and then the other. Naturally, you'll want to do a little research and evaluation before choosing software to burn your games onto disc. You're going to need software that allows your computer to recognize Wii game discs when places into your optical drive (CD/DVD burner drive, in this case), as well as software for burning DVD discs.

An all-in-one solution is ideal for many, but if you're particularly happy with the DVD burning software you already have, by all means stick with that for the burning part of the process. If you're not quite as attached to that software, you'll want to go with a program that can perform both steps. Simplicity is a wonderful thing, especially when you want to burn copies of your Wii games onto disc for safekeeping.

Once you have the software you need to backup your Wii games, the steps are very very simple. Merely insert the Wii disc you want to copy, run the software which reads the data from your disc and then insert a blank DVD to hold your data. Within minutes, you'll be ready to burn a copy to disc, and then just a short time later enjoy playing them! Do a little research before you get started, choose your software to burn Wii games carefully and of course, happy gaming!
