Which video game console is better: XBox 360 or PlayStation 3? – Part 8
The war between PS3 and Xbox 360 has been raging since both consoles first came out. A majority of people have been claiming that Xbox 360 is better because of its gaming choices. The Xbox has far more games that are better than those made for the Playstation. So why would anyone want a PS3? Here are four excellent reasons why Playstation 3 is better than the Xbox 360.
The Playstation 3 is one of the most misunderstood consoles. Consumers fail to see the power that this device has under its hood. For one thing the PS3 has the ability to play Cd's, DVDs and Blu-ray disks. On the other hand, you must pay for a separate piece of hardware if you want a Blu-ray player to go along with your Xbox. Next up, we have backwards compatibility. The PS3 is compatible with a vast majority of PS2 games and PS1 games. You think this would be expected right? Wrong. The Xbox 360 is only compatible with about half of its predecessors games. If your old Xbox breaks and you buy the 360 then you'd better hope that your games are included in "this list. In addition to the backwards compatibility, the PS3 also contains a microprocessor called the cell broadband engine. This microprocessor (cell for short) has yet to be fully utilized in my opinion. The cell microprocessor will give games the chance to become even more graphically advanced and cut down loading times compared to the Xbox. With the Xbox, what you see is what you get. Above all, there's customer support. The PS3 is ahead of the Xbox for one simple reason. The red ring of death. The red ring of death is a red ring which spins in front of the Xbox signaling a general system failure. PS3's failure rate stands under 1% while the 360's rate is at a whopping 33%! Imagine buying a $200 piece of hardware and having a 1/3 chance that you'll soon have a $200 paper weight along with your purchased games. There have been a myriad of horror stories in which someone purchases an Xbox 360, plays it for one day, and then they are forced to return it due to internal failure. One month later they receive a new Xbox after much hassle, just to have it break again.

The Xbox 360 is a wonderful product, but perhaps it isn't the best product. The console is all about the games, but there are other things to consider. When purchasing one of these fine products think about what you need in the console and what it's going to add to your life. You aren't there for the system. The system is there for you.
A Gamers Haven: Renting Video Games Online
Colin Pike asked:
A popular activity these days for kids and teenagers is renting video games. It is cheaper than buying them and they can rent the games from any offline and online video rental service for a reasonable fee. If you decide to rent ps2 games you might have a hard time in deciding which offer is the most attractive.
The video rental stores are always in tight competition when trying to obtain the number one position in customer preference. For this reason, this is why when you rent games you get top notch options in front of you. Before you rent any game you should take in consideration all the advantages you can get from a video game rental company.
It is better if you pay a monthly fee to rent games because you eliminate due dates, late fees and if you are a serious console game player you can obtain a pass for two or three games at any given time. When you are finished playing your game(s), returning is easy, you can do it at any time without penalty.
When you rent your games, they are sent to you immediatly by mail and arrive within one or two business days and typically have free shipping both ways, to and from. Some video game rental services offer phone support for their customers; others deliver the game manual along with the game.
Any addicted game players can choose from a large variety of games. You can rent games from classic collections such as Resident Evil or Devil May Cry to the hottest games on the market today. You can even rent video games that were not as popular as the others, the video game rental services typically carry any and all games possible and everything that gets released. The video rental companies came up with the "Queue" list, which means that you can fill it with the games that you want to rent in the order of preference. If you want to rent games that are not available, the next ones on the list will ship.
To conclude, online video game rentals do not stop at single console systems. Often times, they carry a very broad range of console system games; from Xbox, PSP, Playstation, Nintendo DS, Gamecube to Gameboy and more. What ever is new on the market and has a hold in the customers eyes, you can be sure that you will have option to get your hands on their respected games.
