Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 3

I have played both systems. I own the Nintendo Wii. Before I purchased the Nintendo Wii, I made a pros and cons chart. On this chart I had the Xbox 360, the Playstation #, and the Nintendo Wii. For the purpose of the article I will not include my thoughts about the Xbox 360. The Playstation 3 is a great system. It offers a Blue ray player, great graphics, and in depth game-play desired by most games. The Blue ray player alone is a bargain, but if you're not into the games that are produce for the Playstation 3 then it's not for you. The initial price tag for this system was too much. With everything that is inside it does seem worth it. The Blue ray player alone is at least $400.00. The rest of the system is about $200. In my opinion the Playstation 3 is a $400 system. Despite it's $250 price tag, the Nintendo Wii is a better system for any type of gamer. I was able to get my father to play the Wii sports game disc. We played boxing, tennis, baseball, bowling, and golf. This was another plus that the system came with a game. We had a good time with the boxing. My father knocked me out in the second round. He isn't much of a gamer but he was impressed with the games. The Nintendo Will was made for all types of gamers. The Playstation 3 really just reached out to two types of gamers. With the sales of the Nintendo Wii continuing to rise, we will have a lot to expect from the Nintendo Wii. With Nintendo's recent release of Wii Fit and the Wii balance board, the Playstation 3 may find it difficult to catch up in sales and fans.I purchased Wii Fit and found myself in a pool of sweat. I look forward to getting home to work out. It's a modest price tag for what you're getting. With the two video game rivals striving for video game immortality, we will be very astonished with Nintendo's advancements. With all the hype behind the Nintendo Wii prior to it's release, it has certainly lived up to it's hype. The Playstation 3 is not far behind but fails with it's grossly high price tag. It will come down, but the games offered leave too many to be desired. Save your money and buy the Nintendo Wii. With the extra cash you can afford to buy a few games. If you're happy with the Wii Sports disc you will be fine. Don't forget to go wi-fi with your Nintendo Wii. Download your favorite Nintendo games, Super Nintendo games, Sega Master System games, Sega Genesis games, Neogeo games, or the Nintendo 64 games. Different channels are also available to view from the news, the weather, or the internet. The Nintendo Wii acts as its own entertainment package rolled into one. even though it doesn't have a Blue Ray player, gamers are not going to miss it. What happens when the Playstation 4 comes out? Another $700 out of your pocket that's what. Stick with Nintendo. They're not going anywhere anytime soon.

I just got super mario galaxy for wii. I put in the disc and the console recognizes it in the disc channel, but when I press start, the wii makes strange clicking noises and after 30 secs, it gives me an error message. It has done this with other games, but I cant seem to fix this one. How do I fix it?

Benefits of playing video games – Part 4

I believe certain video games allow you to have a benefit because video games give you creativity. It takes you to a place you could never go in real life. Video games are like dreams that come to life on a T.V screen. These days there are video games that express somebody's dream in the world. There are games that you play on the new Wii made by Nintendo. Wii is probably the best Nintendo has every done because everybody can play Wii. An I mean exactly get to be part of the game like your exactly doing the driving, the flying, the sword fights with your control. I read in last months ESx I believe that is the name of the magazine. Anyways, it has a survey of senior citizens that played Wii an really enjoyed it. They said they would of whether be playing this video games instead of knitting. I believe they liked it so much because they could drive, fly, or get around as good as they use to. So they really enjoyed being able to do all those things they use to even if it was on a screen. It felt better than real life because it was fantasy I think dreams and fantasy are better than real life. All these games really take you to what you consider your dream come true. I mean you get the benefit of being entertained most likely never bored that is for sure. I mean I have played many video games in my life. I prefer the Super Nintendo which was the video game I ever played an got hooked on it. I stayed up all not playing Super Mario Bros. The best game I feel that has every came out. My benefit from that one though was just being a kid an having something to do on Friday nights and after homework time.

Benefits of playing video games

All videos games that are enjoyable are already beneficial because it gives you something to do for relaxation. Unlike the TV where you just watch and do not interact, you are always interacting with video games. It has been proved that the amount of brain activity that goes on inside ones head is greater in video games then many other activities like watching TV. You are always thinking and reacting to what goes in in the video game. Not all video games have the same benefits but they do have them none the less.

Fitness and Weight Loss

The Nintendo Wii video games are probably the most well known video games for exercise. While these games are fun you are burning away the calories that you need to loose for you diet. Others play the Wii to stay in shape.

Logic and Strategy

Games that have puzzles and logical problems such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic are great way to test you ability to solve problems. These can even sometimes teach you new ways of thinking and keep you on your toes.

Literacy and Writing

While your not going to find too many games that will expand your vocabulary you will find an exceptionally large amount of games that have reading in them. Games that are found on the Nintendo DS use text to explain evens going on and how you know what the characters in the game are saying. This also applies even to almost all games.

Retaining Memory

MMOs are probably the best examples for memory games. The thing about an MMO is that there is so much to do. You have to remember what you did before or you will have to relearn it. Other games that are on the smaller scale might be card matching games or Mario Tennis.

Reflexes

The first person shooter games are the best examples of helping improve your reflexes. You have you react as fast and as accurately as possible to success in these games. People who play these types of game usually have a higher average concerning their speed of reflexes.

Typing

Games that support multi-player or games that depend on multi-player such as MMOs heavily promote typing. I have learned how to type through video games, and I have them to thank for it. Many of my friends have learned to type through video games.

Learning a Foreign Language

This one is not too common but like people learn foreign languages through TV, people do learn foreign languages through video games. This can apply to pretty much any video game that has speech and/or text.

Nintendo System Wii The Revolution Has Begun

Though I haven't really been a video game lover for years, and I hadn't tried the new Nintendo System Wii I did teach myself some of the finer concepts of playing "actual" tennis, from playing David Cranes tennis on an old Nintendo Console, many years ago. I figured out the specifics of spin, and curving the balI on the "real" tennis court from playing a video game!

Though that's really the only game I've ever played to any extent, I was excited when my daughter came to visit me, and brought her brand new Nintendo System Wii with her!

I now regard myself a 100% Nintendo Wii convert! As I read my first limited review on the new Nintendo System Wii, I found myself questioning the motion-reactive controls (the remote control and nunchuck) and the wand that you needed to locate in front or on top of the television set. Not only that, but reports of the Nintendo System Wii graphics seemed abominable.

Would the Nintendo System Wii be able to contend in a video game domain where, whenever you are performing NBA 2007 on a Playstation 2, you can see the perspiration droplets on Shaq's realistic facial expression?

The Nintendo System Wii comprises a diminutive and noiseless console and fits virtually anyplace. The Playstation 3 comparitively is immense and is more difficult to hide. Sony has made some odd choices when it comes to their flagship console, and it lacks the innovation of the Nintendo System Wii, in so many ways, aesthetically as well as in function. Nintendo System Wii has it over Sony in almost every department.

In spite of my reluctance regarding the Nintendo System Wii wand/remote, there is zero awkwardness or discombobulation regarding them. The remote control and nunchuck controls are logical, and the Nintendo System Wii provides oodles of on-screen direction just in case you ever become befuddled. The Playstation 3 on the other hand provides no equal controller or progressive simplicity of use.

Nintendo System Wii should be commended for bringing out a $300 game console that does not forget a whole generation of users behind. The Nintendo System Wii arrives set up to play all GameCube games and includes concealed ports for GameCube controls. Although Sony didn't make the mistake of backwards compatability, this is one of the issues with Xbox, many of the newer games don't play properly on Xbox 360.

The Nintendo System Wii is sinking in to our culture in many ways, apart from the ease of use of the Nintendo System Wii, there are so many other great facets to it. The fact that there is the potential to burn calories and work up a sweat, is a revolution in itself. There are companies out there now devising Public Rooms you will be able to rent for parties, that are set up for the ultimate Nintendo System Wii experience. I've also seen reports of Fitness Centers putting Nintendo System Wii systems in for their clients to use as a warmup before their workout.

All in all the Nintendo System Wii is set to revolutionize society as no game console has done before.

Active Gaming with the Nintendo Wii

As the statistics increase on the obesity of young people today, more and more are staying inside playing video games instead of participating in some form of physical activity. With these statistics, there is now a need to combine video games and physical activity. Through this combination, today's young people can be entertained while increasing their rate of physical activity.

To fill this void, we can look no further then the Nintendo Wii. In a world of computers and consoles that require little physical activity, the Nintendo Wii stands alone with its unique blend of digital entertainment with physical interaction by the player of the system.

What is the Wii

The Wii is a console gaming system from Nintendo that combines gaming with physical movement to play the games. Everything from sports to dance games are being made for the Wii. With players moving their arms, legs, hips and more, the Wii combines physical activity with digital entertainment.

The Wii uses wireless technology in it's controllers to transmit signals to the console that tell the game to do what the player is physically doing. This concept makes the player feel as if they are actually in the game. This combination provides a more involved gaming experience for the player.

Additional Movement with Entertainment

With the basic Wii remote controls comes physical movement and entertainment. There are games that come with more to enhance the interaction between player and game.

There are some games that come with special mats or add-ons that plug into the console. These games range from dancing and multiple movement games. The player can run, jump, dance and create different combinations of movements.

Wii Fit

With all the benefits with the Nintendo Wii concept of active gaming, there is a Wii product for exercising. This is called the Wii Fit. It is a combination of wireless balance board and a disk of interactive exercise and fitness tools.

The Wii Fit combines tests of weight, BMI, balance and overall fitness to help the player towards their fitness goals. The training program has sections for yoga, aerobics, strength and balance. Each section has interactive and entertaining training programs. The Wii Fit is currently a very popular item and not many are available for purchase.

Benefits of the Wii

With the overwhelming popularity of the Nintendo Wii with both children and adults alike, we now have a gaming console that not only gets you moving but also is a lot of fun for everyone in the family. You can go snow skiing or run a marathon or play tennis without leaving your living room.

If you are looking to get a gaming console and would like a more interactive experience, give the Wii a shot. You may be happily surprised.

No Wii for Sale?

If you are anything like me you enjoy having the newest and most up to date video games and video game consoles. Why is it that, like many other brand new consoles, the Nintendo Wii is nearly impossible to find in your local stores? There are a number of different factors that make consoles sell out quickly. The games soon to be released, the time of the year, slow production rate and the need to drive up prices. Many times we feel as though it is in the developer’s best interest to intentionally force console shortages. This makes console prices to soar even higher then in recent times. So where can I find a wii for sale? I just can’t wait a need a wii right now!

If you’re desperate for a Nintendo wii pro auctions would be your best bet. Many auction collection sites have people with a wii for sale. Sometimes they have more than one wii for sale. Of course during shortages the prices will be much higher they there were when the wii was previously released. If you watch auction sites you will surely eventually roll across a good deal. It is a good idea to check your auction collection or auction sites regularly. Checking pro auctions often leads to consoles and games for sale at decent prices. It is a good idea to always be cautious when making online purchases. Sellers should be extremely cautious when selling their good online as well. Don’t delay find a wii for sale today.

Sony and Nintendo Close on sales in January 2008

Nintendo Wii Fit Verpackungsinhalt ohne Karton

The NPD Group provided a reminder this week that market growth is not guaranteed. The gaming industry in the US ended the year (2007) with record retail sales of nearly $18 billion.

This week The NPD Group the industry-research firm released US retail sales data for the January 2008 period. While software sales for the month were up 11 percent to nearly $611 million, hardware sales fell by a quarter to around $378 million. Combine that with a modest decline in accessory sales, the industry overall was down 6 percent for the month, posting $1.18 billion compared to January 2007's $1.25 billion take.

Despite this, the month contained indications that the industry actually grew. That was because the January 2007 reporting period was five weeks long as opposed to this January's four-week span. Analyst Anita Frazier said that the numbers are much rosier when this adjustment was taken into account.

The big winner in the gaming market was console software which was nearly 50 percent up when compared to last year.

Hardware sales were down and a lot of this was to do with poor supply that assertion was backed up by a statement from Microsoft saying the Xbox 360 was suffering from temporary shortages.

Nintendo's longtime lead on its competitors was also slimmed. The Wii once again took the console sales crown, by a narrower margin than in previous months. In a month that saw significant advances for the PlayStation 3's chosen Blu-ray disc format, Sony's system ran nearly neck-and-neck with the Wii, selling 269,000 systems compared to the Nintendo’s 275,000. 3rd placed Nintendo DS racked up 251,000 sales, while the Xbox 360 and PlayStation Portable brought up the rear, selling 230,000 units each.

Familiar faces dominated the software list, with Modern Warfare and Call of Duty 4 for the Xbox 360 once again beating all challengers, notching up 331,000 in sales. Another favourite Guitar Hero on the Wii and Xbox 360 took third and fifth respectively, Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii was sixth and the DS edition of Mario Party in ninth.

THIS IS THE NPD GROUP's DATA FOR US GAME INDUSTRY SALES FOR JANUARY 2008

Category Total Change
Video Games: $1.18 billion -6%
Video Game Accessories: $191 million -4%
Video Games Software: $550 million +11%

A statement from Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello is confident the company's revenue will jump to around $6 billion by the fiscal year 2011, with at least $900 million from digital revenue streams like downloadable content, in-game advertising and subscription fees. That would represent a growth of 71 percent over its 2008 fiscal year revenue forcast, which it expected to hit roughly $3.5 billion.

Other new announcements made by EA yesterday included a release date of September 7 for Spore (and possible PS3 and Xbox 360 versions).

Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii? – Part 21

September 29, 2010 by Goldenchute · Leave a Comment
Filed under: video games

First of all lets look at the question shall we? I quote "Which video game console is better: PlayStation 3 or Wii?". The question did not ask which one is cheaper therefore the fact that 2 wii's are the same price as one PS3 is irrelevant. There is no argument about it the PS3 is expensive compared to the wii however it is the better console by far. To start with lets look at problems with the wii.

Nintendo Wii Line @ Times Sq. -NY NY

There are some serious problems with the wii and i shall list some of them.

* No DVD playback support

* Only one controller comes standard!

* The innovative controller is far from precise and many call it "annoying".

* No blue tooth.

* No blue ray.

* Not many multi player options.

* No HDTV support.

* Bad graphics in comparison.

* Some games take long to load.

* Online capabilities are non-existent with 3rd party games.

The PS3 on the other hand;

* Does have DVD playback support.

* Does have blue ray.

* Will have HDMI(high definition multimedia interface) as standard.

* Many multi-player options.

* Really good graphics.

* wi-fi capabilities

* plays PS2 games compared to the wii which only plays wii games.

* very good user friendly wireless controllers.

* very powerful (short loading times)

The PS3 is as good as the wii is bad. The PS3 is simply for the serious gamer who expects and receives the better console!

I purchased my first Nintendo Wii yesterday, and have been playing constantly! From excessive playing, can the Wii overheat? If so, how long does it take?

Is the investment in the Wii a worthwhile one? – Part 2

September 17, 2010 by Goldenchute · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Nintendo Wii

As an employee of a current retail location that sells them, I have decided to call the Wii, the famous and ever elusive Wii. Every single day of my life since the Wii first came out for sale at retail locations, the same question I get over and over is if we have any Wii's, in about three different languages. Nine times out of ten, the answer to this question is no.

As the owner of four gaming consoles when I ask myself, is the Wii worth it, I must say yes it most definitely is. When you really think about the price of a Wii and compare it to past and current gaming consoles, you come to realize that the Wii actually isn't very expesnive. The Sony PSP made its debut on the gaming scene at the same price that the Wii, as a gaming CONSOLE, is. Even when you compare it to the prices of the numerous editions of Xbox 360's and PS3's you have to consider the fact that Wii is still substantially less than the others, granted you do take a hit in graphics quality.

In my opinion, buying a Wii is definitely worth it if you think about it in terms of how much use you are going to get out of it. The games are fun and interactive, where games on other consoles are just fun but not nearly as interactive unless you're playing DDR, Guitar Hero or some games on PS3 where you incorporate the SIXAXIS into play. One of the greatest attributes that the Wii has in its favor IS that it is fully interactive to the point where you can even work out with it. I mean just think, instead of your kids sitting in a comfy chair all day playing Kindgom Hearts or Halo, they can be standing up and dancing around or swinging tennis rackets...moving their bodies so that they don't get lazy or skip out on any vital exercise routine that finds its way into their days through other things like neighborhood play. Since the Wii can be fun for everyone, I tend to believe that it can be especially fun on family nights or at parties where you can battle against your best friends. It can also be fun to watch kids battle their parents on games like Smarty Pants and Big Brain Academy, where your not only exercising your brain but having fun while doing it.

One of the other great things about the Wii is it's audience factor meaning that virtually anyone can play the Wii, have fun, AND be good at it. It is so hard to not have fun on the wii, actually I would challenge someone to find otherwise. The games available, though not comparable to say Halo, are featured alongside a great selection including Super Paper Mario, Geometry Wars, Cooking Mama, and eveb Prince of Persia. Even if you are an old school gamer the Wii offers you the chance to purchase original NES games like Legend of Zelda, Ninja Gaiden and Castlevania as well as other games that appeared on SNES, as well as backwards compatibility with the Gamecube.

If you are considering investing in a Wii or are just looking around for something to buy to use in your spare time I would definitely reccomend the purchase of this console. It's replay value is off the charts. It will keep you going back for more and will help you to factor in the whole family too!

Nintendo Wii Video Games Downloaden

September 8, 2010 by Goldenchute · Leave a Comment
Filed under: video games

The Nintendo Wii continues to go from strength to strength. It has become obvious that it’s here to stay. Just about every other guy and his brother are into Wii. Without doubt, the main draw among all its great features has to be the games. Nintendo Wii Video Games have entered a new dimension and Wii gamers will now never have enough of them.

The Wii is rocking big time and gamers want their Video Games for Wii fast, convenient and low-cost. With this in mind, it comes as no surprise that the savvier gamers are increasingly turning to online sources for their Wii games. Yes, Downloadable Wii Games are readily available over the internet.

Practically all Nintendo Wii Games are downloadable. If they are offered on a commercial basis, they will be inherently downloadable. Downloading Wii games is possible in various ways, the most common of which are Wii Virtual Console through the Wii Shop Channel, peer-to-peer torrent sites and commercial Wii download service providers.

Wii Virtual Console offers the online convenience and immediacy. It saves time, effort and more significantly of late, gasoline of driving around unless of course if you enjoy the physical shopping itself. Being e-products, the games will never encounter stock-outs either. Having these said, they still leave a lot to be desired in the area of pricing.

Peer-to-peer (P2P) or torrent sites are also friendly and convenient. Wii video games, or any other stuff for that matter, are downloadable free-of-charge. The problem with them is that the downloading process is often problematic and the quality of the download questionable. On top of that, all sorts of malware lurk and worse still, identity theft too.

Online Wii download service providers are the way to go for heavy-duty Wii gamers. The downloading is completed in a matter of minutes, accessible from anywhere and virtually free. Fees are one-time for a lifetime. Unlimited download, all-genre, free software and tools, 24/7 technical support and money-back guarantee are standard features. It’s the best option.

And is there an api/emulator available or do you have to pay Nintendo millions of dollars to have the privilege to write games on the wii? How about xbox 360/ps3?

Console reviews: The Nintendo Wii – Part 3

August 16, 2010 by Goldenchute · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Nintendo Wii

The Wii is revolutionary in its interaction level and entertainment value. Instead of allowing players to just sit down and manipulate a character, many Wii games require players to stand up and get moving.

The Wii Sports program (a disk that came with my Wii), is absolutely amazing. I worked up a sweat practicing tennis, golf, baseball, bowling, and (my personal favorite) boxing. Wii Sports also has a feature that allows you to test your strength, stamina, and balance, giving you an approximate age to match your skill level. The closer one is to 20, the better are one's balance, strength, and stamina

Nintendo has managed to sneak exercise into their video games, and I couldn't be happier. Rather than shelling out thousands of dollars for boring exercise equipment, I am able to work out with my Wii, get my heart rate up, and burn calories.

Even better than the workout from Wii Sports is the Mii Channel. Players get to design up to 100 unique little three-dimensional avatars. With the "mingle" function activated, the Miis on one's Wii can interact with other Miis on Wiis contained within one's Wii address book. The Miis can even mingle together to form a Mii Parade and march to the Mii Plaza. Also, the Miis are the avatars that are used in several games, such as Wii Sports, Wii Play, and Mario Party 8.

In addition to the Mii Channel, every Wii is equipped to connect to an Internet provider. Once connected to the Internet, the Wii can be used to surf the Internet, download games from the Nintendo Store, vote in polls, send messages, and even view the latest news and weather through the News and Weather Channels.

The Wii is user-friendly, fun, and costs less than the competing console game systems. In addition, the Wii can also read and play Gamecube games (in spite of GCN disks being smaller than Wii disks), which gives one even more value for one's money. I am delighted with my Wii, and I don't regret buying it!

Nintendo wii! My mother-in-law Thelma wii bowling a 155!!!

The Wii is only about a year old, the games are ssbb, mario party 8, and cooking mama. All four controllers are fine, but one of the battery covers is missing. How much should I sell this for on ebay?

How to Wii

July 30, 2010 by Goldenchute · 1 Comment

Who hasn’t heard of the Wii? The game console that people are just waiting to get their hands on. The Wii is being used in all phases of society from family homes, sporting centers, and even senior homes. The way the Wii is played encourages physical activity that appeals to all generations. Generations are coming together over the versatility and playability of the Wii system. Just about everyone, no matter what their age, is able to find a Wii activity to enjoy.

Nintendo truly deserves to be congratulated for their creation of the Wii. Game consoles have been around for years serving as a means of entertainment for families. Throughout the years, the game systems get bigger and better with visual effects that seem real to life. However, until the Wii most video game consoles were used in primarily the same way, with a joystick in your hands. You sat in your comfortable chair and used your controller to play the games you enjoyed. This inactivity was definitely a contributing factor to weight gain. The Wii brought about a shift to this style of gaming and developed a solution to the normal inactivity associated with gaming. With interactive games, the Wii has come up with an answer to the sedentary days of video game playing.

Wii Sports Resort (Nintendo Wii game)

So how does the Wii do this? The Wii gaming system has come up with a specialized controller that lets you act out the actions in a game. Image you are at a bowling alley enjoying a game of bowling. With the Wii, you can do the same thing in your own home. Bowling on the Wii requires that you move your legs and arms in the same fashion that you would if you were actually bowling. Once you go through your approach and release motions, you watch as the ball rolls down the alley on your television screen and hits the pins at the end of the lane, unless of course you’ve thrown a gutter ball. The interactive play of the Wii encourages you to keep fit and it adds an element of fun and excitement to the gaming world that was missing.

Does this mean that all Wii games require physical activity? No, the Wii system does have several games that are just like most other gaming consoles that require you to sit in your favorite place and play without much body movement at all, as you just have to work the controller. The games that Wii has designed with activity and fitness in mind include games such as Wii Fit, golf, tennis, and bowling. This gaming flexibility also adds to the appeal of the Wii system for many people and generations because there are activity options for every gaming interest level.

The Wii is a great alternative for those that enjoy gaming, but also want to be more health conscious. Studies have shown that playing a game of tennis on the Wii console can burn 100 calories in a 30 minute period. You can be sure that you won’t be burning that many calories just sitting on your couch with a controller in your hand.

When thinking about the obesity problem plaguing our nation, the Wii is a gaming option that helps to encourage physical activity. Children that enjoy staying indoors and playing games can now do so while getting some exercise. An intense 30-45 minute game of interactive Wii play can be comparable to the 30 minutes of exercise recommended by experts to impact your fitness. The Wii system is a great alternative to the other sedentary based systems. What could be better than being able to participate in something you like while at the same time being a bit more fit while doing it?

Nintendo WII Accessories Make Your WII A Complete Gaming System

July 22, 2010 by Goldenchute · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Nintendo Wii
Nintendo Wii will be sold in early December

So you have decided to purchase the hottest new thing in video gaming; the Nintendo Wii. When you purchase your Wii system you will have everything you need to plug in and start playing, including Wii Sports, a game that provides a great way to learn how to use the Wii system’s revolutionary, motion sensing, controllers. However, the Nintendo Wii does not include everything you need to maximize your gaming experience, and that is why there are several must-have Nintendo Wii accessories.

The Nintendo Wii comes with one remote controller – the Wiimote – and one Nunchuk, which is a motion sensing analog controller that attaches to the wireless Wiimote. If you want to enjoy the head-to-head action of the great games included with Wii Sports, then the first of the Nintendo Wii accessories that you should consider is an extra controller. The Wii can accommodate four controllers, so fitting a second into the system is not a problem.

The Nintendo Wii is compatible not only with games designed for the Wii, but for Nintendo GameCube titles as well. If you do not have a GameCube controller already – your existing GameCube controllers are compatible – then one of the more useful Nintendo Wii accessories is a GameCube controller. Not only will that allow you to play a wider variety of games, you can also play the classic games that are downloadable to your Wii system. However, you need more than the GameCube controller to fully replicate the features of the GameCube games. Without a GameCube memory card, your progress through many of the games will be lost each time you shut down your Wii. A GameCube memory card will allow you to save your progress and play at your leisure. Again, if you have existing GameCube memory cards they are compatible with the Wii.

Speaking of classic Nintendo games, the Wii system’s Internet capabilities make it possible to download those classic games of Nintendo’s past. Downloads are not free, however, and Wii Points are the currency of choice. Therefore, one of the more useful Nintendo Wii accessories is a prepaid Wii Points card that will allow you to easily browse and purchase many of your favorite games from all of the Nintendo predecessors. However, if you plan to purchase many of these classic games it is only a matter of time before you fill the 512mb memory of your Wii system. Purchase a 1 gigabyte SD memory card and you will have all the room you need with plenty to spare!

In order to take advantage of the game downloading abilities, as well as other aspects of the Wii system’s menu functions, you need access to the Internet. That makes the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector one of the most important Nintendo Wii accessories. With wireless Internet access in place, you can use your Wii to play games, surf the Web, and coming soon: head to head virtual play!

All of these Nintendo Wii accessories add up to form an impressive array of gaming and entertainment capabilities, but without a component video adapter the picture quality of the Wii might fail to reach its potential, especially if you have a High Definition television. With the adapter in place you will enjoy a crystal clear picture which will enhance your Wii - and your Nintendo Wii accessories - so much more. And one more thing: invest in some rechargeable batteries in order to keep those wireless remote controls at peak performance!

Sony Wii Systems in Stock – Where? – Read Here Quickly!

Almost two months after the big Christmas rush, it is still proving difficult to find the sony wii systems in stock and selling at its recommended retail price. Such is the popularity of the console, even well over a year after its original release, the most hardened shoppers are having difficulty tracking down good deals.

There are now a few retailers that have Nintendo Wii’s in stock but tracking these down can prove difficult and time consuming especially if you have to trawl around the shopping malls looking for them.

Nintendo Wii Anzeige Nr.1

The stores that often offer good competitive prices for products are finding themselves out of stock most of them time. Until their shelves are restocked there is little chance of finding a Nintendo Wii there and most of the more expensive resellers are looking to cash in on the shortage.

To find Nintendo Wii systems in stock for a reasonable price will take some web savvy and vigilance. There are a number of websites on the internet devoted specifically to tracking the availability of Wii consoles at various high street and online outlets. If you are lucky you may be able to catch a fresh shipment and get your Wii for as little as $250.

However, you will need to be quick. It is rumored that the last shipment at this price to go for sale on Amazon.com sold out in 10 minutes. The sustained demand for the Nintendo Wii is nothing short of amazing over a year after its release in the United States. Figures show that about 500,000 have been sold every month since its release and that there is no sign of demand slowing.

Is the wii zapper the same as the wii perfect gun shot? What are their differences and similarities?

Supply Has Not Met Demand For Nintendo Wii

July 8, 2010 by Goldenchute · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Nintendo Wii
Nintendo Wii

Anyone who takes a great interest in video games can tell you exactly where they were on November 19, 2006. If they are a really serious gamer then most likely they were camped out overnight in front of the Toys R Us store located in Times Square, New York in an effort to be the first one through the doors when they opened early in the morning. That was the day when Nintendo Wii was launched and the race to get one officially began. It was a grand event that was highlighted by such things as a roving Segway scooter that held a custom made Wii console. People could play Wii games wirelessly while waiting in the line that stretched around the building.

Since that day the demand for Wii consoles has been much greater than the supply. In fact, if you wanted to purchase a console right now chances are your favorite department store, electronics outlet or Internet mall may be sold out of this product.

The publicity leading up to the release of Nintendo Wii was unanimously positive. This console is the fifth one released by Nintendo, and it is the successor to the highly popular GameCube console. Serious gamers had followed the story from the beginning when Nintendo Wii was first unveiled at the 2005 E3 event. It won the first of many awards at that show as they hit the ground running. From that day forward the massive amount of people who play video games worldwide could hardly wait to get their hands on one of these revolutionary consoles.

Nintendo Wii has outsold Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PSP since its release a few months ago. The demand for this product is now through the roof. People of all ages are playing games on these units and the interest is growing larger every day.

Wii is number one in sales of video game consoles partly due to its price, 250 dollars which is about 2 to 4 hundred dollars less than its competitors. The main reason people are going bananas over this console though is due to its exiting new features like WiiConnect24 which enables the console to receive messages and updates over the Internet while in standby mode. But most of all it is all about the remote control.

The thing that sets Nintendo Wii apart from other game consoles like Playstation 3, PSP or Xbox 360 is its wireless remote control, known as the Wii remote. It is a revolutionary device that offers interactivity on a whole new level. This remote has a motion sensor that allows the user to get up off their seat and kick, swing, jump and dance their way through Wii games. No more hours of endless sitting. Gamers can now actually feel like they are physically in the game while they are playing their video games.

As the frenzy to buy Nintendo Wii consoles has increased steadily online malls and retail stores have struggled to keep their shelves stocked with this hot new product. Many people have accused Nintendo of purposely holding back on the amount of Wii consoles for sale to create a high demand for the product. These critics go further to say that the plan of Nintendo all along was to release plenty of these consoles in the fourth quarter of the business year to a public that cannot wait to get their hands on one of them because the product is so good, yet relatively scarce.

This week Nintendo announced that they would be ramping up production of Wii consoles. This means that there should be plenty of them available for sale during the fourth quarter of this business year. On the surface it would appear that the conspiracy theory crowd was right about Nintendo withholding production to create an artificial demand. However, there is no way to be certain if this is true unless you have a secret recording of the top Nintendo executives sitting in a board meeting as they plotted their diabolical plan.

The big question here is whether or not the drought will soon be over for video game enthusiasts who are thirsty for a drink of the new Nintendo Wii console. While no amount was given by Nintendo regarding how many more consoles they will produce, most people believe that the general PR message the company is sending out to the public is that you will not have a problem finding Nintendo Wii for sale at your favorite retail or online store from now on.

How the Massive Appeal of Nintendo Wii Game System Compares With That Of the PS3 And The XBox 360

July 3, 2010 by Goldenchute · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Nintendo Wii

When the Nintendo Wii first emerged on the scene, there was such frenzy for it, just as there was with the PS3 and the XBox360. It became hard to find after a hot minute. Its popularity skyrocketed within the first few days. In all three cases, some people wondered why others would be fascinated over a video game system.

With the Nintendo Wii, there are several reasons why:
The Nintendo Wii video game system was made so that people who normally play video games such as those on Xbox360 or PS3 would like it. There was a lot of action like those games. There was quite a bit of excitement in the play.

In the XBox360 and PS3, the games were more fantasy-oriented in many cases. Players took on the identities of imaginary characters and took part in adventures like slaying dragons or fighting battles.

However, the Wii games are different than any of the other games people may have seen. Because of their simplicity and down-to-earth games, Wii game systems sold out very quickly in just a short amount of time. People were hunting all over for them after they sold out.

The Wii video game system appeals to so many people because it is user friendly. Even the person who is not video game literate can get a grasp of these games. Unlike the Xbox 360 or the PS3, the Wii movements are more easily translated from the person's actions to the images on the screen.

Nintendo-wii-carry-bag-case_Electronics Warehouse

The system comes with the Wii Sports collection. This collection consists of baseball, golf, tennis, bowling and boxing. There is a remote which is used to control the movements of the games. Since the remote is in charge of the movements, people don't have to concern themselves with getting a sore thumb.

On the other hand, people who are fond of the PS3 and XBox360 like the complex controls. They enjoy the challenge of seeing what they can do by pushing different buttons and turning the joysticks in different ways.

For the most part, the Nintendo Wii remote control uses one hand. Instead of it being bulky and long like a television remove, it is short and slender. It can be used comfortably in either the left or the right hand. There will be no concerns about losing it because there is a strap attached that can be placed around the wrist.

The same strap can be placed around the arm for another part of its uniqueness; when you make a movement with it, then the object moves. It doesn't matter if you're swinging, rolling or hitting. There is also a nunchuk, which is a device that is used for boxing and other games.

Of course, the PS3 and XBox player would say that their games are set up to move when they move their controllers as well. The difference is that you do not have to memorize what different buttons do. With the Nintendo Wii, you simply have to move in natural ways.

Before a person can play any of the games, the user has to create a Mii character. The Mii program allows a person to customize your own playing character for the games. It comes with a schedule and a memo pad. Many games on the Xbox 360 and the PS3 do not allow customization.

When playing games on the Nintendo Wii, the person will definitely get a workout. In order to play the game, they have to move around with the remote and swing the arm in a certain direction, depending on what game is being played. This is better than playing Xbox 360 or PS3 video games, where a person is are essentially a couch potato.

An important thing to note is that people should not overdo it when playing games on the Nintendo Wii system. All of that swinging can make a person's arm tire out. Even though they can be fun and addictive, those arms should savor any strength for another day. In addition to the basic Wii games that come with the package, there is also Wii Fit, which is a separate entity.

There are also fitness games on some of the other game systems, and people can easily get tired out while playing PS3 or XBox360. It is important when playing those games to take breaks and rest your eyes and your mind.

Another reason why people probably hurried to get the Nintendo Wii video game system is because of the price. Nintendo Wii is affordable, compared to some of the others. Xbox 360 and PS3 were costlier.

Nintendo Wii is considered to be cost-friendly for a lot of people. The price range is about $250 - $300.

In the end, the PS3 and the XBox360 are much more advanced gaming machines when it comes to intricate action. The Wii games are challenging, and there is something for everyone to enjoy.

I got RE4 Wii Edition today and I decided to record my first playthrough of it. As it turns out, it takes a little more planning to do a whole game. Fortunately I realized this before I started recording my SH3 Extreme Speed Runs. Note that I skip the cutscenes.

Video game reviews: Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Wii, Xbox 360, PS3)

June 18, 2010 by Goldenchute · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Nintendo Wii

The release of Guitar Hero III was huge news in the world of console gamers. At the local bar, where we host Guitar Hero night every Saturday, we all waited anxiously for midnight to slowly roll around so we could send someone to pick up a reserved copy. When we were finally able to play (XBox 360 version) we saw a lot of differences from Guitar Hero II. Most were small, but there were a few huge new things.

The first thing we noticed was that in Guitar Hero III we now had the option to play a Co-Op Career Mode. What this means is that if you want to play with a friend, but not competitively, you still have that option. However, you can actually have a career together, as opposed to Guitar Hero II, which was only quickplay for co-op.

Another thing that stood out was the graphics. Everything looks a lot cleaner and better, especially the characters! One annoyance, however, was the sounds made when you miss a note. They seem much louder in Guitar Hero III unless you change the sound effects setting.

Nintendo Wii - Extra Wii Controller

When checking out the songs available for play, we were all relieved and excited. There are many familiar songs, such as "One" by Metallica, "Bulls on Parade" by Rage Against the Machine, and "Paint it Black" by the Rolling Stones. There are also a lot that we weren't as familiar with, but are still so much fun to play.

With the new songs we wondered about gameplay. We had no need to worry. Game play actually got slightly better. For instance, with longer notes in Guitar Hero II there was never a time that you could do a hammer-on or pull-off onto another note after the first note was done. In Guitar Hero III, however, it is a recurring practice.

When playing Guitar Hero II before, we also wondered if we had a good note streak going. There was no way to know until the end of the song, when your one longest note streak was displayed. In Guitar Hero III there is a counter underneath your score. At about a 30-note streak the counter pops up and begins counting, so knowing your note streak is always just a glance away.

While playing single-player career mode we encountered another monumental new thing: Battling. During the third set list, Tom Morello (of Rage Against the Machine) challenges you to a play-off. Instead of having star-power notes, there are notes that have blade-looking edges. If you hit these in succession, you receive some sort of power. Whether it be "Double Notes," "Amp Overload," or "Broken Whammy," you lift the neck of your guitar (star power style) to use this power against the other player. The first person to fail the song loses. When you defeat Tom Morello (and two others later in the game) he asks you afterwards to play an encore with him. It's a lot of fun, and a twist on facing off against someone. Battling is also available in multiplayer, and it's a blast.

There are a few new characters in Guitar Hero III, including Tom Morello and Lou (devil-like creature who used to be your band manager). Aside from alternative outfits available for sale, there are also alternate styles, which change the outfit colors.

All in all, I think that Guitar Hero III is a great game. While Guitar Hero II will always have a special place in my heart (and I still play it often) Guitar Hero III is the game to play. The level of difficulty is higher, visually it has more to offer, and there are a ton of new songs to learn. It's a must-have to me. In fact, I have to stop writing so that I can try to beat "Through the Fire and Flames" on Expert now!

Get Into the Groove With Nintendo Wii

June 14, 2010 by Goldenchute · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Nintendo Wii

While many video games have turned today's youths into small couch potatoes: Nintendo Wii is looking to change all of that. Nintendo Wii, or simply called "Wii" by most people, is an interactive action-based video game you hook up to your television set.

The Wii has taken the U.S.A. by storm and has continuously sold out from any store it has been placed in. People will stand on line in rain, snow or any type of weather to get their hands on the Wii. The Wii sells on eBay for up to three times its selling price of about three hundred and fifty dollars.

When you purchase the Wii gaming console, you get a number of things. You receive the Wii sports disk with several popular sports to play either as a dual player, 4-players or just as an individual. You receive hardware such as the Wii console, remote, nonchuck, sensor bar, console stand and an AV cable.

Everything about the Wii is smartly designed. The Wii console is slim and sleek and will look attractive next to any television set. It is also discrete looking and not bulky or the type of gadget that will take up a lot of space in your living room or family room. The Wii remote control is very intuitive, with buttons being different sizes and also different shapes. You can easily understand just how it works as you are setting up your Wii to play games.

To play Wii you create your own Mii character to represent yourself in the games. This is very much like an avatar that you may have created at Internet websites. The Mii characters are attractive and friendly. While the Mii character will not look exactly like you, it is fun to see this character that looks similar to you interacting within the game or activity you are playing.

This summer Wii has come out with their latest creation: Wii Fit. The Wii Fit is an athletic game of sorts that teaches body sculpting, yoga and aerobics. You can take your BMI (body mass index) and also track your fitness levels. This is ideal for the person that wants to get in shape or who may want to lose some weight. The Wii Fit offers five different sports activities. The activities are easy enough for a beginner to start and will be enjoyable for the advanced exerciser.

The only challenge one could wonder about is if those that use the Wii Fit will get bored with the exercises just the way people get bored with an exercise DVD and they require some type of variety for stimulation. Perhaps Wii is already ahead of us in this respect and is planning even more athletic "games" to be added to Wii Fit.

The Wii is a very creative idea for a video game and certainly has both children and adults getting up off the couch to play with it. This fun game can burn several hundred calories an hour, just like regular exercise. With its popularity, it is clear that many adults and children are enjoying Wii very much and continue to use it far beyond its early popularity. Nintendo is known for bringing us many high-quality video games and the Wii is simply an ingenious answer to the American obesity crisis.

Below are 5 tips for success when finding cheap nintendo wii consoles and games for sale at the lowest possible price while still buying a working product.

1. Consider the source - If you are looking for a Nintendo Wii Sale from a local vendor, your likelyhood is next to nil. The benefit of buying from a local dealer is that you can usually assume that the product is new, but you are going to pay for it. Buying retail means that you are also paying for labor wages, their electric bill, taxes and probably somewhere around a twenty percent mark-up if not more for the item. Needless to say, you pay more, but for a new product.

2. Buying online is another method that may be useful, however again, consider the source. When buying online for a cheap nintendo wii console or cheap nintendo wii games, read the fine print (if any), check for notations about scratches, inproper functionality, etc. Be thorough in this process.

3. Buy bundled and save! Buying a cheap nintendo wii bundle with games is a great way to get both games, accessories and the console at a single low price. Be aware though, sometimes bundles are a way of really jacking up the price. Always do price comparisons with the games and accessories to see how much of a deal you are really getting.

4. Buying second hand online can be fruitful! Buying second hand online is a great way to save big. often times people just didn't like their Nintendo Wii gaming system, or they got two for christmans, or they wanted a playstation 3, whatever the case always make sure to protect yourself. Buy insurance when applicable, ask about return policy, get all the answers befor you click (buy now). By proceeding with caution you can help ensure that you are getting a great product at a low price.

5. When buying a cheap nintendo wii console and cheap nintendo wii games, find out why they are really cheap. Not to say you should be paranoid by any means, but do atleast bring up the question.

Simply stated when buying a cheap Nintendo Wii console for sale, you don't ask, you don't get. Finding an sale on a cheap Nintendo Wii is very easy to do when you are both analytical and frugal. The Nintendo Wii Fit video game, made for the wii consoles, is not the first video game to introduce physical activity as the main focus for completing the game, though it is the first Nintendo wii console video game to promote aerobic and callisthenic exercise. The Wii console is a Nintendo gaming console that has gained popularity because it allows plays to incorporate their entire bodies into much of the game play. Rather than hold a stationary controller with a small handful of buttons, Wii gaming controllers require waving, twisting, turning, slashing and a variety of other motions in order for many of the Wii games to be played.

While the primary goal for the Wii Fit gaming bundle is family enjoyment, it also allows for players of all ages to pay more attention to their health and fitness in a way that is upbeat and non threatening. Rather than focus negatively on one's health and wellness, children and adults are using games like the Wii Fit to address their health in a positive way, literally playing the pounds away.

The Wii Fit is a truly interactive game that works along with a "balance board", a completely new controller that was developed especially for the Wii. This controller sits flat on the floor, and the player stands atop it. The player is able to input personal information regarding height, weight, age and other details, and the Wii Fit game will appraise their general health and suggest a fitness program. The Wii Fit, then, is more than a simple game, but also works as an effective exercise regimen, suggesting fun and family friendly exercise programs that anyone can participate in, no matter how young or old.

The Wii Fit game provides a number of excellent benefits, making it a worthwhile acquisition not only for children and adults who are looking to lose a little bit of weight, but also anyone who is interested in leading a more active lifestyle. Combining aerobic exercise with callisthenic exercise, yoga and many other forms of exercise, the Wii Fit provides a well balanced workout program without taking the fun out of the game. This is an excellent family friendly game for anyone who is serious about their health, or who enjoys being active when playing video games.

The Wii consoles is an excellent new gaming console that is available for purchase with a myriad of different family friendly games. Among the most popular Wii console games are Guitar Hero and Rock Band, simulator games that allow players to play controllers that work like musical instruments. So what happens when you put your wii disk into your computer? Does it play it? Does it ruin the cd drive? Does it ruin the wii disk? What happens, I want to know. I don’t want to try it out myself. The real thing I want to do is get music off a game. I’ve tried searching the web, and half of the stuff isn’t any where to be found. So is there anyway to get the music off the game and into my comp?

The Wii craze took just about everyone by surprise. Nintendo has sold over 20,000,000 Wii consoles worldwide by the end of year 2007.

Want to deck your den with a new Wii? If you have yet to buy wii, then there are still many ways to buy. Because of the low supply, it is still very hard to purchase the wii consoles at retail stores for a low price. As a result, most retail store are raising the prices $100-$300. So your best bet is to buy a wii online, where you will find a wide selection of Wii consoles and accessories on sale.

Now let me go over what I think are the best places to buy a Wii online.

1. eBay

I love eBay. There is always a constant supply of Wii consoles for sale and the prices are very reasonable. My own console and accessories were purchased there. Of course, remember to buy from a seller who has great feedbacks.

2. Amazon

For those who don't really like eBay, I would recommend Amazon as it is as fast and safe as you can get. Keep in mind that you can always safely purchase from their 3rd party sellers as well.

3. Wiiconsoledeals.com

I absolutely love this website. It is a specialized Wii for sale site, which lists up to the minute deals on the Wii consoles, popular games and accessories. It makes finding the perfect Nintendo Wii deal a million times easier. Be sure to try this website before you buy.

I wish you good luck in finding the perfect Wii for you.
