Can I get a free wii remote jacket?

I bought a Wii after they began including the remote jacket. Therefore my Wii console serial number does not qualify for the free remote jacket offer. I later bought wiiplay which includes a remote without remote jacket. People who purchased a wii before they began including the remote jacket are able to order jackets for all wiimotes they own, not just the one that came with the console. Has anyone in a similar situation obtained a free remote jacket?
