I'm having some serious trouble beating mirror mode in mario kart wii and all this time I've been playing I haven't been able to decide on a player or bike/kart once and for all. Can someone please tell me what the best choice would be?

I generally found that when you do faster classes, smaller is better. I had trouble with some of them so I decided to do characters like Dry Bones and Baby Luigi. Since I had a lot of vehicles unlocked, I was able to find what I needed. I think I used cheep charger, the one with the big wheels but generally Standard Kart S/M/L and Standard Bike S/M/L are always good choices because they are more balanced until you are able to better handle the courses.

i use diddy king on the mach bike…i feel its the fastest, but i think any smaller person on a bike goes faster then the cars, however, if you go off roading alot i like using the bigger guys with bikes they handle better, as well as helping push people off the road when you run into them…

I like Luigi on the sneakster, since I am a very carful driver, I can take full advantage of the speed.

I don’t really think anyone can tell you what the best combination for you is going to be. I like medium and heavy weights with alot of speed, my wife likes lightweights with good handling and acceleration, and our other friend only uses heavy weights on the fastest whatever. It’s really something you just have to feel out for yourself.

I change my character and bike depending on which series I am running. My husband likes dry bones with the tiny titan (as do I on some races). I also like bones with the Blue Falcon for speed in lots of circuts.
I had lots of trouble with Rainbow Road, so I used Bowser in the Offroader and came in first place for the very first time. Now I am using him in the time trials for the Crown Special Cup and am doing good.
Different characters and karts have advantages, it is just trial and error.
    Good luck!

It depends on which weight class you like. To beat Mirror and 150cc mode, you need a fast bike with good drift and mini turbo. I would say the Bullet Bike for the light class, the Mach Bike for the middle class and the Flamerunner or Bowser bike for the heavy class. Characters also have speed stats, and baby daisy is the fastest light character, daisy the fastest middle character and funky kong the fastest heavy character. Choose a weight class and pair the character and the bike I’ve recommended. I hope this helps!

In Mario Kart Double Dash, it was a smaller class, but in Mario Kart Wii, I’d say the middle class. Diddy Kong with the Classic Dragster is the kart that i’d use.

I feel that medium players are the best all around. I vary which kart i use depending on the course I’m playing on. I’ll use the x-wing (or whatever it’s called) on concrete courses and the sugarscoop or classic dragster for any others. I use my Mii which is Medium. Hope this helps.

I like either donkey kong or funky kong on the parrana prowler. It’s so heavy that it just knocks anything that it hits out of the way and the parrana prowler takes no effect. It’s acceleration isn’t the greatest, but it is made up for in it’s speed.

I prefer the middleweight class because they majority of the bikes are good all around. I personally do not like the mach bike for grand prix because of the poor acceleration. If you hit a wall, or hit bananas, or fake item boxes, or red/green shells, it is a challenge to maintain a high position in the race. Poor acceleration has caused me to lose many races that could’ve been won otherwise. My favorite vehicle on the WHOLE game is the Dolphin Dasher, and then the Jet Bubble, but if you are having trouble on Mirror Mode, you may not have unlcoked these yet. So a great alternative is the Magikruiser! GREAT aceleration and offroad, which makes it PERFECT for Grand Prix. OF course, the Jet Bubble, Dolphin Dasher, and Magikruiser all have the severe drifting which takes getting used to, but it makes EVERYTHING so much easier once you get good at it.

As for characters, any character in the selected weight class will work. My favorite lightweight: Koopa Troopa, middleweight: my mii in outfit B, but next would be Bowser JR., and Heavyweight: Dry Bowser.
but once again, the character you choose only affects what vehicles are available to you….

    Hope this helps.

Medium sized characters with the Dolphin Dasher. The bike looks awful but it rocks, plain and simple. I’ve unlocked everything with it.
