Alternatively, you could have a worldwide VS race and verse other people. It says how to do this in the instruction manual. Just get one person to go to a worldwide VS race and get the other person to join them as if the first person had an open room. So then you're basically playing worldwide VS race but your friend is there too. I know this isn't really what you're looking for, but it's still something useful. I hope I helped!
